I had the privillege of working at a festival where he was one of the acts performing each day. Almost a full month of getting to see him entertain folk. A genuinely kind soul.
I went to college in Waterford, Ireland. I worked part time for a security company that covered the nearby Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival. Every year I worked it, I insisted on working Sean's gigs. He was such a kind and genuine guy, who had time for everybody around him. When I moved to Dublin after college, he asked the guy working his gig where I was and to make sure I knew he said hi. It's one of my great regrets that I never got a photo with him in the name of keeping a professional distance. I'm not ashamed to admit I cried the day he died.
He he didn’t have to try hard to do it either, he had such a unique and absurd style that made him who he is. He was so naturally gifted and such an amusing spirit. He will seriously be missed..
Every time I see Sean on any media I cry for his passing. We are used to losing our comedy icons as old men but this brilliant man was not expected to fall so soon x

As a Yank, I had no exposure to Sean while he was living. Now I find myself looking at everything I can find with him. He was brilliantly funny. I don't know how someone can miss someone they never knew in life, but I do.
Not only is he super funny and brings love and warmth to our home through his comedy, he takes the time out to do charity work.... even when he's dying of cancer. God bless him and he is GREATLY MISSED. Love and respect to you Sean.

It's been years since I've watch 8 out of 10 cats. I decided to search compilations earlier and it hit me like a freight train that Sean passed away years ago. I won't lie, my heart is aching remembering he passed away so recently.
My God Sean. We always knew you were a good man, but this is King class. We miss you so much. You always made us laugh and look at mundane things and find humor and happiness. You made us laugh at things we never knew could be laughed at. I, for one, will never forget you. It brings me a big smile to think that you are up there in Heaven with the greats in comedy who have gone on be for you and making Heaven laugh so hard they cannot breath and soak a towel in laughter tears.
