Omg still makes me lmao
@@arifdale SEASON 17, EPISODE 2
Jon is probably at Sean's funeral thinking: "But is he actually in that box though?"
Well done. Made me chuckle.
NOOOO 💀💀💀💀
Probably a carrot in the box
I guess everyone is hoping he isn't and it's Sean's darkest joke 😌
@@normandavidtidiman9918 We can all enjoy that as a fantasy, and think of how Sean would have enjoyed us enjoying that as an idea.
The original carrot in a box was one of the finest TV spectacles I've ever witnessed.
I remember it so well. Absolute genius
I remember it so clearly as if i just saw a recap of it
😂 it was amazing!
It was Sean's best moment on tele
It was absolutely genius.
Sean's living in Jon's head rent free at this point
Sean is the type of guy to stay up late to ring Jon up at 3am every morning for a month.
lmfao gold comment 2020 nominee right here;) nice
He finally found something he's good at, shit at countdown, shit at comedy, good a carrot in a box!
JS 09 cmon man
@@js0988 Is that you John?
RIP Sean - a genius not once, but twice, and indeed throughout his career.
Bloody tragic loss
At the funeral the priest must say: "Sean wanted to know, Jon, is there a carrot in my box?" And Jon has to guess if there is a carrot in the coffin or not.
My head cannon is that he arranged for a single carrot to be delivered to Jon at the time of his passing.
Spoiler 😭
Sean has officially retired as the undefeated Carrot in a Box Champion. The GOAT of a sport of kings. RIP
"She doesn't know"
I know that Sean destroyed him but that was an amazing come back.
It's praise to his poker face.
Agreed, I think a lot of the time Jons retorts are kinda slept on because he delivers them in such a casual manner. You only really catch his jokes when rewatching which is what makes Cats a great show, always something new to look for even when you've seen the episode before!
It's funny how Jimmy said it's ultimately Jon's choice as to whether he wants to swap or not. We all know that it's all up to Sean
@@emilymesch7537 0_0
I could imagine Sean mailing Jon a carrot every Christmas.
Sean’s reverse psychology is outstanding, twice.
If Jon had just used his noodle then he gets a free win. The producers are obviously going to put them in a different situation to last time, and last time Jon's box contained the carrot, so obviously Sean's had it this time.
that was a triple though xD
@@xp3r670 It's not obvious. They could have decided to start with the same starting position and see how Sean would try to fool Jon this time.
@@AH-te5gs his best bet though, is going with the idea that the producers did something different. First game and third onwards are anybodies, whereas the second game is your only one with a bigger chance of winning by just saying they went for something new. not guranteed, but odds in your favour
@@xp3r670 He decided to play the actual game. It's a pointless game for comedy, it becomes less funny if John wins because he guessed based on what the producers were likely to do instead of deciding whether or not Sean was bluffing.
Jon: "I don't care, it doesn't matter"
Also Jon: violently slaps the empty box
Thanks we all saw and heard that.
@@edchapmansvideos something Jimmy would say😂😂😂
As opposed to peacefully slap something?
@@Sir_Stalwart you'd have to ask my wife
@@biggustago2812 "she wouldn't know"
To think that "Carrot in a box" "challenging wank" "Seal clubbing" and "Rectum of the year" are all part of the same episode is mind boggling.
Really speaks to the comedic ability of Brits, and especially so of Sean Lock
Wow didnt realise that!
No, that is not true! That's impossible!
@@Mike_Jones281 trust me darth vader is your father!
You serious mate? That’s beyond amazing!
RIP Sean Lock. Can’t quite believe he’s gone. His wit and humour was absolutely second to none.
Jon wins the day with his "She doesn't know" comment.
I feel like that comment is the type of joke you meant that is accidentally funnier and harsher than you intended
Not really. He is basically slagging off Sean's wife saying she doesn't know how to please him :')
It doesn’t even make sense. What is it saying? That his wife can’t please him?
@@imamoronand9199 I thought he was saying that they never have sex
@@imamoronand9199 I am doing it willingly, because that's the best user name I have ever seen. Well played, Sir, gave me a good laugh. I might steal the idea!
The absolute balls on this guy to die while being the undefeated reigning carrot in a box champion. Hero.
Underrated comment
Fair play to Jon: "She doesn't know" was a killer put-down!
Waited years for this moment
😂 Same what a bril game
This isn't even a recent rematch. I want a third rematch
@@jessecw2 has there already been a second rematch?
@@_rlb unfortunately not. That's what I hoped this upload was. Instead it was the same rematch video that has been uploaded multiple times
@@_rlb guess my wording was poor. I want the 3rd match, 2nd rematch
Honestly, the first game of carrot in a box was one of the greatest moments in UK TV history, and possibly the best hustle of all time.
Honestly? Why would you lie?
@@swanningabout because he’s a scoundrel
@@Kubjax SCOUNDREL!
A treacherous uncle even!
The golden balls psych-out wins for best TV hustle, but carrot in a box 1 is a close second.
This whole episode was so amazing - it also contained the legendary 'That's a challenging wank' line, and Sean's hilarious bit about his greatest achievement in life being the money he embezzled from the RNLI, the time he went seal clubbing, or rectum of the year. Come to think of it, Sean was just on fire in this episode.
He really was!
And one of Rachel's most gorgeous dresses ever. Important plot.
He was on fire in every episode
And poor Claudia could barely breathe! 😂
Which episode was this
Rest in peace, Sean. You'll be sorely missed.
RIP Sean. The forever champion of Carrot In A Box.
undefeated mate
Death: 'So you want to play a game for your soul?'
Sean: 'Well... Its called carrot in a box...'
If only, he would still be with us today. No way deaths winning that one
I sincerely hope that on Sean's gravestone it reads:
Undisputed champion of 'Carrot in a box'.
Legend.
I thought it'd be nice if it read:
Noooooooooooo
Whyyyyyyyyyyyy
Nooooooo
Ahhhhhhhhhh
You can't write tears, Jimmy
Or Jon puts a carrot there every yr
@@prospero4183 or plants carrots above his final resting place.
When Sean says 'No,I fancy me some carrot...'.
He has already won...
GENIUS
"she doesn't know!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That moment when Jon says "...if there's no carrot in that box, you are a genius", and Sean's smile says it all.
RIP Sean, the undefeated winner of carrot in a box.
Carrot in a Box is the game we didn’t know we needed
Must have seen this a hundred times and Jons "she doesn't know" kills me every time
Kills you? Reincarnated then?
RIP Sean Locke, your comedy will be greatly missed.
It could have been that he wanted Jon to have the carrot at long last just to shut him up and keep the peace so it would have been hard for Jon to decide. But then again it's Sean, the guy who has only ever showed his emotions twice, once when he made love to his wife and the other when he slowed down for a horse. haha
"Sheee doesn't know"😂
3:33 This interaction was brilliant!😂
Can this be made a regular tribute to Sean? Parties, family game nights, whenever there are two boxes and a carrot and competitive animosity Sean can be with us in spirit. Let's make it happen, people everywhere!
Loving this
If they ever play this game again, which I’m sure won’t be for years to come, it should be changed to “Sean Lock’s carrot in a box” in memory of the one true champion!
1:13 - Sean Lock is the Waluigi we deserve
This is so bitter sweet now he isn't with us , R.I.P to a Legend!
all we can do is leave people with good and happy memories, and Sean did that for sure. A comic legend.
@k c poignant isn't it :😪
Carrot in a box, undoubtedly the best game ever played by the best two people ever. 😂
RIP Sean :( This and the original were the best TV in ages.
Now whenever Jon sees a carrot in the supermarket it will give him the 1000 yard stare.
RIP Sean
We all know Jon secretly said best out 3....Now best out of 5 lol.
Until his wife gets so fed up of him practicing carrot in a box at home she divorces him lol
Imagine on next series of meet the Richardsons is 15min of just him practicing carrot in a box
Lucy is going to divorce him no matter what :P
Hurts reading this now, knowing it will never happen.
She's divorcing him. Another carrot in a box related marriage breakdown
If they didn't put a carrot in Sean's coffin, I'd be gutted!
Watching this again simply to pay my respects to the comedic legend that is Sean Lock - I got to meet him after a show a few years ago, genuinely a lovely guy. RIP 🧡
I Cannot Believe That Sean Is Gone! You Will Be Missed By Everyone. You Led A Great Life, Time To Rest Now. RIP 😔
“She doesn’t know” always gets me
RIP Sean. I can just imagine that cheeky grin looking over Jon who will never get a chance to win
Gone but never forgotten.
If this ends up becoming the only known footage of the existence of humanity, some millions of years from now in some unknown future that we currently cannot conceive, then that's fine by me.
2-0 - and will remain so forever. RIP Sean
“The bluffing game nobody asked for”
The lie detector determined...that was a lie
There will never be a rematch now. RIP Sean Lock
Judging by what everyone's wearing, I'm pretty sure that in this episode Sean does this, his "rectum of the year" bit and "that's a challenging wank". What a machine. RIP
You are right. Best episode for me.
Probably the funniest show on TV anywhere. I live in a little town in IL USA and I watch these clips every night before I go to sleep. Sean, Jimmy, Jon, Roisin, Suzy and Rachel, THANK YOU for this awesome entertainment!!! Love you all!
the fact that we will never get more sean lock is sad, his comedy was amazing
RIP Sean.... funniest comedian, I’ve laughed and cried with everything he’s said...
It's only now that I know he was ill for over a year but told everyone to carry on as if he wasn't - that I can see how much weight he had lost here.. It's truly inspiring to know that this man and a few other of his closest friends on that set were completely aware of his cancer at this point, yet out of respect for his wishes kept it a secret as he still wanted to lead a normal life until the end! What a man! R.I.P ♥
A Titan of a man
"She doesn't know" is so funny
I do NOT wanna play Poker against Sean
What makes this so brilliant is that while at the surface it is all a comedy, the players are in fact taking it very seriously. As Jimmy reminds us, it's a game of bluff, ie a mind game. And Sean completely fucks with Jon's mind. He owns Jon which is no mean feat as Jon is no fool.
Glad the algorithm is pushing Sean’s clips this is great (:
Rent free in everyone's noggin was our Sean, what a bloke
Rip sean
What a KING. A true genius, you'll be missed by us all.
Sean reminds me of the taxi driver in the first episode of Sherlock.
Omg
RIP Sean Lock
Legend
I've come to love these British games shows with celebrities/comedians because the prizes are so mundane and meaningless. If you've got contestants from the general public, you've got to entice them with big cash prizes and whatnot. But not here, they've already made their money.

What makes me sad is that Jon will never get another chance to beat Sean at carrot in a box (however unlikely it may be). RIP you hilarious genius.
There was a third episode of Carrot in a box, featuring a rookie, looming to carry Sean's torch. I won't spoil it, but you should watch it.
RIP Sean Lock

It feels so strange to have someone in your life with such a dynamic presence one day, and gone the next. It’s not something that gets any less painful, but with time it becomes easier to bare the burden in your heart and soul. R.I.P Sean. Hope you’re making everyone laugh in the great unknown.
