I have a major conflict going on in the main house next to my garage apartment and I am trying to stay out of it and just pray for a good outcome. I just do not want to see anyone destroy their life to help someone who refuses to be helped. I think if one has a lot of stress it distracts ones mind.

I pray the rosary with angelorum press alone and with my family at night so i never fall asleep. sometimes when i pray with angelorum press im also preparing a meal so my mind cant get tired
I'm currently reading "The Interior Castle" by St. Teresa of Avila. In one of the chapters, She states that it is not possible to prevent mind wandering during prayer unless GOD stills the mind himself. To think we should be able to prevent mind wandering ourselves is actually prideful. We should not even have the expectation that we should be able to do it ourselves.
I find the rosary center has a section on how to pray the rosary without distractions , it is very good

When I say the rosary, sometimes I realize my mind has wandered. My solution is to backup between 3 to 10 Hail Mary's, depending on how long I was distracted. If I have an evil thought, for me, that's an automatic back up 3 Hail Mary's. It helps me a lot.

1. What's the point of the chapter.
2. What is true of God cause of what He has done.
3. What is true of man cause of what he has done.
4. What does that have to do with my life today.

My Catholic friend took me to Hindu temple in Pennsylvania. He did not ask the acetic to bless us because he was so focused on praying. it may not have been the true God but most will agree that he was truly seeking God. There was nice free tea and coffee there. There were no Christian churches to pray.
That's a sin against the faith.
