Hi, in fact it stopped working on sony TV as well. It just worked once after I reset the TV, Dex connects to TV but screen mirroring doesn't happen, If your TV is built in with screen mirroring, phone auto detects the TV.. on many TV brands wireless Dex is not functioning

It does not work with my Motorola TV which has chromecast. I think it does need miracast only. Which is outdated version of chromecast if I'm not wrong. Would it work with chromecast. All android TVs comes with chromecast only these days.
Hi, miracast and chromecast are 2 different services. Miracast doesn't need internet and connects directly to your device.. and wireless dex needs miracast.. perhaps you can buy a miracast dongle to use dex.. on my Sony TV event though I have miracast Its troublesome to connect dex..

Hello, Actually this issue persists with many TV brands including Sony..I managed to connect it after doing a factory reset on the TV, unfortunately it worked only for couple of days and stopped working. DEX Recognizes the TV but doesn't mirror the content. At the same time I am able to connect dex from Note 10 plus to the same TV, so looks like it's an issue with the compatibility of phone and the TV, Try opening inputs menu and find screen mirroring and just hit connection guide and keep pressing next.. then try connecting dex.. not sure if it works but you can give it a try..

Hi, I did reset and while resetting TV asked me to pair the devise which worked but that was only for a while, later it got disconnected, no luck after that.. again I did a reset and it worked just for few mins.. so there is an issue.. let's see if samsung fixes it

Sorry buddy, i don't have a dongle with me.. even if i have it and try it, it may not help you coz it may or may not work on your TV, DEX is not working properly on Sony TV for some reason despite having miracast build in. After I reset the TV it worked but then again it stopped working..
Hi, yes I did use the key board connected to TV, it worked.. for some reason Dex still has some bugs and doesn't always allow me to connect to TV, there is a frequent disconnection..
Many are having trouble connecting it to their TV despite having chromecast built in, and wireless Dex connects through chromecast.. so I am just guessing.. I can't be sure though.. apparently on samsung TVs it connects flawlessly

You can't install any other app other than android. Dex is just the extension of your phone on a bigger screen, whatever you install, it will be installed on the phone.
Go to inputs option where you see all the hdmi and USB options.. you should be able to find it there.. check the specs of your TV, whether it has miracast inbuilt or not
Hi, Dex is not getting connected to many of the Android TVs which have chromecast.. there is some issue... even on sony it worked when I factory reset the TV, later the same problems No TV detected
Any TV its the same process.. usually the screen mirroring option through miracast is on by default.. if not on check if there is a setting to enable it on the TV, your phone on the dex will automatically detect your TV, make sure you have miracast build without which it won't work
Not sure about MI TV stick.. there are Miracast dongles available in the market which can be connected to smart TVs.. but may or may not work.. so can't really confirm.. 🤞

Hello, There is some issue with Dex connectivity for Sony TV, I did connect but now its not getting connected.. I will have to reset the TV again to connect and after sometime its comes up with the same issue.. Hope samsung solves this with an update.. and ya please check if your TV supports miracast.. not chromecast
Actually there is no option to turn the screen mirroring on or off. On inputs option you just get an option to select screen mirroring and it shows a new page which says once you exist this screen the mirroring will be turned on. This is on Sony android TV which I showcased in this video.
2.5 is great, but I wish there was a way to navigate the tv/broadcast without needing to look at the TV. It would be nice if it was possible to select a youtube video or video file from the phone and broadcast to the TV. My cell signal is terrible in my TV room so that is why.

Hi, There are some bugs I suppose and samsung has to do something about it.. even though I connected after factory reset it failed multiple times later.. When you reset and connect, login to TV through your phone Gmail account that might help.. I am waiting for a fix from samsung

So what's actually the idea dex works on. .. Is it over WiFi network or just screen mirror. My TV does show one device connected after hitting start now button with dex feature but den gets error message on phone after showing connecting few seconds.
Yes... same thing was happening to me.. then I did a factory reset.. after the reset while setting up the account on TV at one stage it will ask you to pair the phone,, I added the phone during this process.. after that I was able to connect Dex. It connects over miracast which is built in on sony android TV..

Hi, check if the TV has miracast feature build in.. if it's in, go to cast feature on the TV and turn it on, turn on the dex on the phone and see if the TV appears on the list
On settings there is no specific tab for screen mirroring.. Only on inputs tab you will find screen mirroring option and there is nothing like you need to turn it on or off, usually its on

When you swipe down on the notification panel it shows the touch pad option, tap on that to expand

Hi, its the same process for any TV, your TV should have miracast feature running.. when you turn on dex on the phone it auto detects the TV.

Any TV its the same process.. usually the screen mirroring option through miracast is on by default.. if not on check if there is a setting to enable it on the TV, your phone on the dex will automatically detect your TV, make sure you have miracast build without which it won't work

I had the Note 20 Ultra and a Sony X7500H Android TV, I couldn't location the screen mirroring function.
On sony TV select input methods.. thats where you will mirroring option..
In the "Input Methods" or "Input", there's no Screen Sharing nor Screen Mirroring for me to choose. Think my Sony took out the function in my model.

Not sure about MI TV stick.. there are Miracast dongles available in the market which can be connected to smart TVs.. but may or may not work.. so can't really confirm.. 🤞

I'm sorry, but on Note 10 Lite there isn't Dex, so I don't think you will have Wireless Dex even though you get One UI 2.5

Hi alok, it needs miracast.. Though most sony Android TVs have miracast Dex doesn't connect flawlessly.. There is an issue.. It works flawless only on samsung TVs

Hi Aryan, I just found out that you can use a dongle which supports miracast.. this might help you connect Dex on your TV, I have not used it so I am not sure.. but you can check it out

Hello, There is some issue with Dex connectivity for Sony TV, I did connect but now its not getting connected.. I will have to reset the TV again to connect and after sometime its comes up with the same issue.. Hope samsung solves this with an update.. and ya please check if your TV supports miracast.. not chromecast

Actually there is no option to turn the screen mirroring on or off. On inputs option you just get an option to select screen mirroring and it shows a new page which says once you exist this screen the mirroring will be turned on. This is on Sony android TV which I showcased in this video.
@@ThePhoneFuel yeah but don't 9500g is missing that option sadly... There is Airplay so i assume they removed this....
2.5 is great, but I wish there was a way to navigate the tv/broadcast without needing to look at the TV. It would be nice if it was possible to select a youtube video or video file from the phone and broadcast to the TV. My cell signal is terrible in my TV room so that is why.

You can may be use a miracast dongle on the TV but not sure if it really works

Hi, There are some bugs I suppose and samsung has to do something about it.. even though I connected after factory reset it failed multiple times later..
When you reset and connect, login to TV through your phone Gmail account that might help.. I am waiting for a fix from samsung

@@ThePhoneFuel I tried the way u mentioned, it still says could not connect try again. While Samsung dex service says we need both device connected to same WiFi router. So what's actually the idea dex works on. .. Is it over WiFi network or just screen mirror. My TV does show one device connected after hitting start now button with dex feature but den gets error message on phone after showing connecting few seconds.
Yes... same thing was happening to me.. then I did a factory reset.. after the reset while setting up the account on TV at one stage it will ask you to pair the phone,, I added the phone during this process.. after that I was able to connect Dex. It connects over miracast which is built in on sony android TV..

Hi, check if the TV has miracast feature build in.. if it's in, go to cast feature on the TV and turn it on, turn on the dex on the phone and see if the TV appears on the list

On settings there is no specific tab for screen mirroring.. Only on inputs tab you will find screen mirroring option and there is nothing like you need to turn it on or off, usually its on

My pleasure... Yes I agree there is some issue with connecting Sony android and many other brands.. I somehow connected after resetting the TV but after sometime it stopped working.. Let's wait and see if we get any update to fix this issue..
