Honestly the quality is mediocre. It is 1080p in Dex settings, but looks like 720p maybe. Rounded icons have visible pixels, the text is blurry. Just a night and day compared to main desktop. I'm wondering if this is just limitation of 3 year old device? Is S22 Ultra a lot better in this aspect?

It is an amazing phone, currently holding it as I type this. BUT my coworker has an s20 or s21 and he's the one that told me to lookup the DeX features. So it's not only s22 ultra. You can go cheaper, still get an incredible phone and have access to DeX

I would love to know how to use the S pen more and draw or edit photos on my phone screen while in dex. Just can't get my head around it. Also even though my note 20 ultra can do dex wireless, is it better to use docking stations or multiports to get the most out of dex instead of going wireless? Thanks
@@mikesytes I got it, and the first thing I noticed was the abhorrent battery life. That's my only gripe with it though; I turned off always on display, lowered refresh to 60hz, and keep it at the middle FHD option. In my case at least, it seems like the display is the largest culprit depleting the battery. It handles league of legends just fine though so I'm happy haha.
I prefer to use a wired connection with an HDMI - USBC hub. The hub should have ports for your BT receiver from keyboard or mouse. I also use an M5 Samsung monitor and BT an Xbox controller.

Great explanation but this dex still has huge problem. I cant play games using my phone it self at the same time reflected on tv screen, except for the car race since you only need tilting.

I looked at the tv list and my tv (TCL) was listed. But every time I try to launch Dex, It attempts to launch, but then goes back to the home screen on my tv. I made sure that I was on the same internet connection for both devices. I just got my S22 Ultra the week that it was released. I upgraded from the S9. I never had this problem with the S9. I might have to try to connect to Dex with a USB connection. When I tried connecting via HDMI, I got a notification saying that I need to use an official USB-C To HDMI cable to connect.

I was looking to wirelessly transfer files between PC and S22 using DEX. Would have been nice if your title said DEX setup to TV, so I did not have to watch the entire video before realizing you are not covering PC connection.

It should work if the TV is connected to the phone's hotspot...if you have Samsung TV that is, because Samsung tries to force users to buy their TVs in this stupid way.

Ha , ha , my lg smart tv is more dex compatible that any Samsung tv , and i have both of them . Te magic remote from Lg is freaking awesome , and working in dex mode . The touchpad of the phone is lagging , way below Lg remote . So if you want fully enjoy Samsung dex , get a lg smart TV . Awkward right 😂😂 !!!

This is a first for Samsung to allow new features on newer smart phones onto older models. The S10+ got it during it's 4 year updates.

Just plug it from your phone to TV using hdmi to type c cable. When u plug to tv, make sure u know which hdmi u plug in.

I found that my VPN setting on my 22Ultra was blocking my DeX connection to my Samsung TV. Once VPN off, connection made.

U have to use hdmi to type c cable. In order to connect dex, there are two ways. Either connect wireless or use hdmi to type c cable
