    My wife is soooo excited. We started our business, did a ton of research, purchased all the right tools, and have some money to invest. Our plan is to go out and find great deals, and to do online arbitrage. We purchased a couple toys from Big Lots that we think will be profitable, and then came home and started searching for products online. We are rookies, but we're very persistent. Finally at 11PM my wife wakes me up, and says she finally found a product from Staples that meet all our criteria, so she got 10. We know this will take time to build, but this is how we're starting. You "must" put some time into this. We both have professional careers, but we want something to do when we retire in a few years. My Son and daughter-in-Law have been selling Amazon FBA for about two years, and have both quit their full time jobs. THIS CAN BE DONE, you just can't quit. We're looking for slow consistent growth. For those "haters", you have a choice: You can make excuses, or you can make money. ...we chose the latter. Thanks for the link resources, it's much appreciated. ~Mike

    I would like to do this but I live in England and we don’t have garage sales, thrift stores, goodwill stores etc. You’re so lucky to have these in the US. All we have is car boot sales, and charity shops. Typically these shops are very small with very little stock and the boot sales tend to be 90% useless junk.

    Why are so many products I scan on the amazon seller app shown as restricted items? I found some cheap brother tn-460 toner and I'm not sure if I should purchase it if it's not sellable. Any thoughts? thanks for all your knowledge!

  • @asleepforaweek8062

    I've paid my fees for Amazon to start selling, and have an app on my phone to scan and compare items value on Amazon. Was about to head to Walmart and load up on boxes and packaging materials, and then head to some Kmart stores locally that are closing. Luckily, I have been doing as much research as possible before I head out, and now it seems that there is an increasing list of items that are either restricted, or require a fee of $1000 dollars to sell them. Amazon offers no warnings and people end up buying a ton of crap that they are stuck with and can't unload.
    As an Amazon Prime member I have noticed myself that over the past year or so the quality of what is offered on Amazon has gone down, as well as the service. I have received many packages with Prime shipping after 4-5 days, and specifically gotten books and posters in pretty bad shape. Boxes are packed ackwardly, small item in a big box with some brown paper stuffed in it, with a ton of space to bounce and slide.
    You have made some videos about how its still worthwhile to do Amazon FBA but not recently. Would you say that still today that Amazon is the best place to sell online using FBA or are things changing enough that it's not worth the time for someone trying to start today building a business with it?
    I also get the feeling that many people are not doing as well as they claim with FBA and create channels and get subscribers on RUclips to make money there. Helping people compete with you doesn't seem to be a wise choice for online sellers, but either it would take much more people to get into it than normally would, or its more worthwhile to sell advice and experience through RUclips, blogging, and affiliate marketing. I am curious which it is.
    I realize there is a lot here, but any comment would be appreciated.

      The business of Amazon has a lot of great things... and frustrating things, but overall I think it's a great place to sell items to the world. I don't mind "training my competition" because I would actually run out of sourcing capital before I ran out of finding profitable items to sell. That's the abundance mindset I have. I wish you the best!

      Full-Time FBA That was a great response. I've been watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of blogs, and there is definitely a lot of copy cats or money grabbers. This is a great channel with great advice and unique content. I'm planning my attack and going to attack this with as much energy as I can spare.

    Man your videos are awesome, thank you. I started in eBay 30 days ago and I did not get nothing about money, because I made mistakes with shipping and I list items and I check again and I list again anyway I am learning I started with my clothes and some goodwill things after 30 days I sold 4 products not even 30 dollars now $ right now for me is symbolic because I am learning. Regarding to Amazon I don't even try yet because is a lot of rules and things.

    Hi, I really get motivated from watching your videos on FBA. Unfortunately living in Hawaii and trying to ship my first shipment out today is a challenge. We "Hawaii" & "Alaska" residents has HIGH cost shipping prices. My first shipment price cost more then what my 1st shipment to FBA profit will be. That SUCKS. The only successful thing that I had accomplish in, is Merchant fulfilled. I sold my first two items through it and it felt awesome.

    I have a couple of questions. If I have $5000 that I can invest into fba how difficult and how long would you say it would take to net a profit of $2000 per month given I make decent purchases. And also, how much would you suggest I spend on inventory to start? I don't have a niche or know much about a lot of products. Also does the amazon seller app tell me which items are restricted or do I have to do any research beyond that? Sorry more than a couple of questions... Please reply thanks. Your videos are very helpful and encouraging!

    • @fulltimefba
      @fulltimefba  8 лет назад

      The results on selling on Amazon will be different for every person, but the more you learn and apply, the better things will go for you. The Amazon seller app does show if an item is restricted. I would focus on garage sales and thrift stores to start with and look at books and toys.

    Stephen - Here's a question, I'm about to get started in FBA and I'm following one of your main pieces of advice, source from home, sell what you have lying around. So here's my question: Can I sell loose items that have no box via FBA? or do I need to sell it merchant fulfilled? For instance, I have a 100 skylanders that my son never touches but they are all in excellent shape but out of the package. I'll probably make a bit more by going the Merchant Fulfilled route but there are less hassles going the FBA route. Just wanted to know what you thought. Thanks again. Great videos

      As long as it's not an item that is labeled as hazmat or is a restricted item for you to sell, then YES! in fact, being the only FBA seller means you can probably get more profits than your merchant fulfilled competition.

    I opened a free account on Amazon FBA. Just selling off some books in my house to learn it and get a feel for it before I go pro. I got a request from Amazon support to provide them with proof of identity and a bank statement. Can anyone expand on what that means exactly? Are they looking for a copy of your driver's license? Are they looking for a bank statement that's a notarized? Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated. I heard somewhere that they usually request this from people outside of USA but I am in Los Angeles.

    • @fulltimefba
      @fulltimefba  6 лет назад +1

      They just want to make sure you are who you say you are. A DL and bank statement PDF will do fine for proof.

    Great information my question is I do custom woodworking and have a product I want to sell on Amazon it sells for $150 and is bulky and the average shipping cost is about $65 so I ship to FBA what do they charge me to package and ship to customer? Also If my product takes off will Amazon shut down my account if I can't fill my bin in time? I only can make 5 to 7 units a week.
    Thanks

      The Proven Amazon Course is great.... here's where to get it: www.fulltimefba.com/pac. Also good is Amazon Bootcamp... you can find out more about that here: www.fulltimefba.com/bootcamp. I have a beginner's course that's going to be released in February of 2018, and you can get on the waiting list for that here: www.fulltimefba.com/jumpstart. If you want step by step guide, I'd suggest Amazon Bootcamp for now (since mine is not released just yet). If you want tons of info for a beginner and tons of stuff for advanced (for later when you're ready for it) then PAC is good. Can't go wrong either way.

      There are many producers that sell straight on Amazon without going through a retailer. That's why the FBA set up is so awesome. I don't have any videos focused on producers, but I think it's worth a try to sell your items directly on Amazon. Just be sure to check the Amazon guidelines.

    I have 500 pieces of the same products and it's 116kg together (FBA,China) but the max weight of Amazon for a box is 23 kg, do i just make 5 boxes of 22kg and send them together to Amazon? Do i just specify this in seller central that these are 5 different boxes of the same product? And how do i make sure they keep together during the transit or is this normal..Thanks!!

    Question, do you use the manufacturer barcode or do you print out your own labels. i'm confused about it. i have read on amazon that they will charge you to put on the labels? Could you please clear that up for me? Thank you.

      Yes. When I send an item to an Amazon FBA warehouse, I put a FNSKU label over the manufacturer's barcode. This barcode label lets Amazon know that this item belongs to my inventory.
