It used to be a special experience to spot a Range Rover in the 1980s and early 1990s. You did see them, but not very often.

Surprising to see a cycle lane at 11:49. I didn't think they'd been brought in at that time.

@GmartSuy I mainly meant modern-style cycle lanes with all the signage. But interesting to know theyve been around that long.

Just look at how freely the traffic is flowing 🙁Before ULEZ, before congestion charge, before parking restrictions, before Tony Blair opened the flood gates and the rest…London was a beautiful place to be.🥺😢 all successive governments after that need a right kick in the bollocks
LOL big up the beama blaring out the tunes! 18:37

Still plenty of unrefurbished AEC engined Routemasters. And the Volvo B10Bs on the 88, which was a fairly short-lived thing.

How can there be so little traffic? All the things like ULEZ and petrol prices are supposed to keep people off the roads and yet these same streets are chocka now. Also the pedestrians are 10 deep on the pavement as well so there is some unknown reason for that.😂

That’s because successive governments have seen how much money there is to be made

Also in 1993 London’s air quality for the first time became the cleanest in over 3-7 centuries with the levels of suspended particulate matter at 27 micrograms per cubic meter from our world in data. The 27 may sound like a lot but 100 years ago it was at 611. All went down with no Ulez and no lez no congestion charge and non of these anti driver policies. And in 2016 it is only 16 micrograms per cubic meter which is 41 percent reduction which also I guarantee the 16 micrograms per cubic meter figure in 2016 is similar to today. And get this between 1986 and 1993 there has been a 52 percent drop in suspended particulate matter so those 7 years saw a greater drop than the 23 years.
