truck looks sick man, true inspiration for my dmax build
awesome dude! glad i could help! and thank you!
Your truck is amazing man! Killer rig for the mountains!
Thank you Chase! That's exactly what I built her for! have alot more planned for the future as well!
Great video man very informal and I like the step by step process, keep up the good work
Thank you for the feedback Matthew!!
How are these ball joints holding up? Also how do you like the kryptonite tie rods you installed?
ball joints held up well! i sold the truck a few months back and they were still holding strong then. felt as though they were slightly tighter then the stock ones
@@ColinMcEvoy thanks man just wondering why you sold it? Plans for a new one?
Hey when is the next truck video? Will it be about some mods to it or how the dmaxstore ultimate front end is?
I will have a short video on the sled deck in the truck here in the next couple days, I’ll also have a few videos coming out in the next couple weeks. I don’t have a specific time because I’ll be moving back to Washington next weekend but I will try and get something out for ya man! Promise! Haha
What’s the intro song? Thanks for the video
Which one do you get for a 2014 Silverado 4x4? mine is cast steel lower control arms
Do theses fit mcgaughy control arms
which press kit did you use?! I've rented two sets and neither work foe the size of the kyrptonite ball joints..
Just the auto parts store ones, it sucked. Had to pound them out with a sledge
Make more videos your truck is amazing
will do bud, i'll have another video with it in the next couple days actually!
I know this posts a year old but, did you have to get an alignment after? I’ve heard you should anyway, but also heard it won’t change anything
Daniel Dyles I didn’t get an alignment after since it doesn’t really change anything that has to do with steering but it wouldn’t hurt to get it checked after. Especially if your ball joints were really bad
Appreciate the quick response! Mine arent bad really at all but Yeah I just got mine replacing the moogs with kryptonite. Thanks again brother
@@danieldyles1988 absolutely Daniel! you'll like the Kryptonite stuff! well made and he backs his products 100% with lifetime warranty even if you break it
Hey I just ordered these for my truck, I know it's been a short amount of time, but how have they held up so far? Not much out there on this brand.
Hey Chad, Im sorry I didnt see this comment until now, I never had any issues with them after over a year of them being on the truck. I checked shortly before I sold it and the boots looked just fine no tears or anything. The new owner said he hasn't noticed anything either!
I noticed his tie rod was on the other side, mine was on the bottom
Keatin Hales huh?
@@ColinMcEvoy your tie rod mounted on the top of the spindle
@@ColinMcEvoy yeah mine is to, it is worth noting that I left my truck at stock height. Is it maybe because you’re is lifted?
If anyone is just now watching this (please use a brass hammer to hit on the axle shaft!!!) A iron hammer will deform the end of the shaft, the brass one wont. Save yourself time and money and use brass.
Jesse Lilley you’re going to have to hit it VERY hard to deform it with an iron hammer.. and if the axle it stuck in there that bad you probably shouldn’t be using a hammer alone. The axle just slips in it doesn’t need a lot to pop it out, iron hammer works just as well as a brass one and it’s not going to deform it unless you’re using too much force.
@@ColinMcEvoy I know that. But how many people out there do you think know when to hard is to hard lol. I was just always taught not to hit ends of shafts with iron hammers, as an over head crane tech I get to deal with beat on shafts from time to time.
What size socket for the the nut on the spindle?
Never mind you had it listed at the beginning of the video. Thanks for the info.
❤
Any updates on these?
they held up well, no issues still
Awesome!
Where did you live in Oklahoma
austin mason I’ve never been to Oklahoma haha hope to one day though 👍🏼
Oh haha sorry I thought in you cheap or free truck upgrades video you said Oklahoma my mistake. Keep up with the great videos!
austin mason haha I’ll have to watch it to see what I said then, but thank you man! Have a lot planned out for the coming weeks and months for content!!
The hardest part of the job, (the lower balljoints) YOU Don't show the procedure????????? You skip over it in the video.
5:45-7:00 I explained it pretty clearly. not sure why you have to get all bent out of shape over nothing
Im usually not in comments but,
What @diver7150 meant was The full break down and Show on how You got them Pressed Out. So if it helps anyone, Heated them just As He did and I Used a Press to Take the ball joints out My Ball Joint presses Weren’t Cutting it! It’s a Bit Sketchy. Just thought I’d Help the next person. Great Video by the Way.
Imagine having a lifted duramax with big wheels and running stock tie rods lmao
Nickat1ne707 exactly why I upgraded! 🤗
