I many countries there is a lot of politics going on around this subject. The real estate agencies don't want it to be transparent and easy because that would undermine their profit margin. Both apartment searchers and landlords need to be kept in the mist as much as possible. But I think as soon as Facebook or Google or another big player makes a good app the party will be over.

You should start a blog and/or go to Goodreads or Amazon and review books. It is one of the most enjoyable things to do, especially as a critic, and also publishers and authors eventually reach out to you to review their books. Reviewing is one of the best ways to help authors out. You can even do reviews here on your channel (if you haven't done so already).
Yes, reading totally transforms your life and continues to impact your life as you go on in life. I've been reading almost all of my life but now as an adult, I'm getting textbooks on all kinds of subject matter and teaching myself. I still read my self-help books and fiction (yep, huge historical fiction fan) but I'm learning just how life-changing textbooks are! Reading rocks! Thanks for sharing this!

From your comment you just seem to focus more on quantity than on to actually make stuff happen you know like....getting a job??Reading books is ok(most of the time) but getting hooked into thinking that you actually accomplished something when in fact you only just completed a book it's dangerous.

    • @juanmarin6557
      @juanmarin6557 4 года назад

louie s You are right, maybe I putted too much emphasis on quantity. In reality quantity doesn’t matter specially when you start to forgive things from the books because of the huge amount you have read, that’s why I’m making lists with stuff I need to remember from the books and I’m practicing everyday, also at the end of the day I try to review my whole day and realize what could I have done better. I’m seeing some real change, I was recently promoted at my job and I will be leading my own team soon enough, I wouldn’t have achieved the promotion, and the idea of leading my own team would scare me as hell if it wasn’t for knowledge and social skills I acquired from reading and developed from practice.
Thank you for your comment, made me reflect, and reading again my previous comment, you are completely right, is totally misleading on what really matters.

I was in an honors English class where we were told to read chapters as homework, over analyze what was written in class, and complete other assignments that sapped all joy from the books. We were also tasked with reading Scarlet Letter, nobody read the book. Literally no one. Everyone used spark notes but me.
I simply didn't do my homework and was failed into a normal math class.
In out normal math class, our teacher had us read in class and quizzed us with simple questions at the end to make sure we were actually reading. We did talk about the books, but we didn't overanalyze them like pretentious a holes.
I got so far ahead in the books that I missed a question because it was something I read a week prior.
    Also the books were good.
Also also, we watched FULL METAL JACKET.... I'm high school!
Failing honors English allowed me to appreciate books. And we read good books in that English class too.

I'm not a hotshot at math and I know that is a necessary still to master in. I feel at a loss because I don't know if I'm up to it, I'm not a quiter when I grab that determination to not quit yet, I feel as if pursuing this will have me to fall into failure. It's hard to figure out what I truly feel about all this.

Thank you for recording this video! I have been doing some research on RUclips and I have found many people with similar stories. For me reading is helping me to find my passion and try to make it profitable. I have studied marketing and journalism but I am reading lot of books about e-commerce and I am finding a very interesting topic to start to invest some money into it. Do you know something about this business?

As an aspiring polymath, reading is a second nature to me, I try to read physics(engineering), Psychology, Chess(practise endgame etc), music(composition and piano) and Mathematics(working on my own problems that I don't know if solution exist for, only solved 2 so far), from monday to friday, tough work but rewarding.

Weirdly I've felt like when I go back to reading a lot, I actually seem to get better and sharper at everything else, my engineering coursework included. Never liked self help much, always found novels helped me more with introspection. (I am also 22 and really have little idea what a stock is)

employment opportunities are not that big, many engineers at times struggle to find a job, to my knowledge in us theres arount 20000 biomedical engineers and around 1 mil electrical and mechanical engineers, watch Aaron Clarey, hes an economist and he wrote a book "worthless" which states anything bio, is a rubbish degree, the only viable premed option is chemical engineering

Great books! Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is amazing haha. Other good books are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey, and Mindset. One of my all time favorites is Unshakeable by Tony Robbins. If there’s anything you get from that book, it’s page 24 :) I bought the audiobook for the Elon Musk Autobiography by Ashley Vance and that book was so inspiring! Definitely a favorite. Now I’m starting the Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feynman audiobook lol. Reading can be enjoyable when you read books about things that your interested in
