I think you're bad at keeping balance. I almost returned mine when I saw this video, but I decided to give it a try at sea and I can say that it is an EXCELLENT paddleboard, easy and quick to set up. It was easy to stand, keep the balance, and paddle with small waves. I really enjoyed and recommend this product!.

The stability of the board will be less if you aren't standing at the center where the carrying handle is. As you move your weight to the rear, the board will become less stable and shift side to side as you are paddling.

You can use any electric pump, you just need an adaptor for the valve as well. Just plug it into the cigarette lighter, set it for the manufacturers psi recommendation and you’re set.

Push and twist the little plunger in the middle of the Halkey Roberts valve to open it (as you would do to deflate)
Pump up to pressure then quickly reomve hose and twist to close HR valve. Reinsert pump and top off. You'll inflate in half the time and won't be tired...

I nearly purchased two kids inflatable paddle boards, then I remembered pumping up the giant inflatable flamingo by hand pump, and I thought better of it. I purchased 2 hard bottom soft top paddle boards for kids. A lot more money but at least we will do it. I think inflatables are the kind of thing you will give up quick unless you got a mechanical pump. P.S. I am glad you didn't fall off as that canal water looks nasty.

    1. Theres usually a switch on the pump that puts it in the push pumping mode. Its easier to pump the last 5 psi that way.
    2. You are pumping just with your arms. Youll get tired quickly that way. Use your legs and and your body weight. Itll be much easier.

Set you're hair dryer on the cool setting (no heat) and it'll literally get you about 70% of the way there before the back pressure starts to out-weigh the incoming pressure of the blow dryer. Then transition to the pump and you'll only be pumping about 5 min to get to 10psi.

I've seen in other videos where the sweet spot to kneel/stand on an iSUP is on either side of the handle. With that said, you're standing too far back for best stability.

March 6/21: Thank you for the video. I just received my SereneLife Inflatable SUP board yesterday. I bought (Canada) from Amazon ca for $450.27 plus tax + $508.81. (If the US makes minimum wage $15 like ours you too will pay big.) Last year not a hope in hell in finding an inflatable for under $1000 plus. I cannot afford that and I am a beginner. Thank you so much for the tips. I am not going out on the water (late may early June for us here in Ontario) with expectations of a quality board. I will be camping at lakes with calm waters but I am a five minute walk to Georgian Bay which does not have a lot of calm water days. It is beautiful though. If I enjoy immensely I will sell this board and save for a quality board. I will definitely be buying a quality electric pump because I am sitting here sipping my wine and getting tired just watching you pump up that board up. ; ). Thanks again. Perhaps I will check back in a couple of months with my progress and thoughts. I shared your video with my sister in Ottawa because she just bought same board. 👏
