    After pumping the inflatable SUP up to 15 psig, I already have enough excise and ready to go home. That's why I have an electric pump for that.

    I can't thank you enough for this proper set-up guide. I just got my first sup and the directions it came with are horrible. And I'll be honest, I had to google how to use the pressure pump 🤣 But thank you. Now, just need spring/summer in the pnw

    Seriously, how hard is it to pump up a SUP with a manual pump ?
    The reason I ask is that I am about to buy my first paddleboard having hired boards in 2021 and have narrowed my choice down to
    two: the iRocker All-Around 11’ or the Bluefin Cruise.
    The BlueFin however comes with a free electric pump. A mate who owns one says the electric pump is almost essential, but to be fair he only got a single chamber manual pump with his board. The iRocker is a 2-chamber pump.

      It's a decent workout to inflate with the manual pump that most boards come with. It depends on your strength but it takes at least 10 mins of solid pumping. I would say 15 mins for a majority of people or less if you are very fit and enjoy cardio lol.

      @@northwestpaddleboarding5343 Thank you for your detailed reply. my new SUP actually arrived today. I eventually decided on the Bluefin Cruise 10'8"
      At £449 here in the UK, it comes with a kayak seat, double blade paddle and currently on offer with an electric pump for free, as well as the normal single chamber pump. It was too good an offer to refuse.
      I just wish the North Sea was a little warmer. .. it's f r e e e e z i n g

      Took me a little over 10 min. Probably could have been faster because I had no idea I could adjust the setting on my pump once the psi reached a certain level😊

    If you have a dual chamber board do you want to have the second chamber at 15 PSI as well ?

    • @northwestpaddleboarding5343
      @northwestpaddleboarding5343  2 года назад

      I have never seen a dual chamber board. Aside from the Connelly Pacific but that's just the seat section that yes, would still inflate to 15 psi.

    Good tutorial. But... First, why not to use portable air compressor for tyres with an adaptor? Adaptor costs really cheap and compressor with regulated pressure limit in PSI is also not expensive (in my country the good one is about 25 usd). However, you will save a lot of time and stamina. Second, you switched the gauge on your pump to a single action. Better explain peolple why you did that) Good luck, babe.

    • @northwestpaddleboarding5343
      @northwestpaddleboarding5343  Год назад +1

      Great question! Some companies will not honor their warranty if you use an air compressor to inflate the board.

    • @kelesays
      @kelesays Год назад

      @@northwestpaddleboarding5343 Yep, but there is no problem with setting a pressure limit. Set 15 PSI and just wait). It stops automatically when the limit is reached. Well, I don't push anybody to go my way....

      The condensation produced by the air compressor damages the inside of the SUP. That is why even the Canadian SUP racers use the hand pump babe.
