- How to tell if your manual pump is working.
If you just purchased a paddleboard make sure you pump your board to the recommended PSI.
Your pump may not register until you reach above 8psi, keep on pumping! - Развлечения
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. Every SUP should come with a note explaining this.
Glad it was helpful!
This video is underrated! Super helpful. Everything she says was spot on! Listen to this chick
Very helpful, thank you!! I thought the gauge was broken as well and didn’t know what the single, double switch was for. Learned a lot! Thank you!
Thank you! as a newbie buying from online seller I thought my pump was not working! You saved the day!
Thank you sooooo much for creating this video!! It is very helpful because yep, I thought my pump was broken.
Thanks, they do not say this anywhere on the instructions, as they should. Very helpfull
Happy to help!
Very helpful as a newbie 😊so thanku
Great! Explains my scenario this morning 🙃 Needed to keep pumping LOL. My first day , try on this new sport!! Thanks.
Exactly what I was after, here's me pumping up my board blocking one of the intakes thinking it was missing a piece 🤣🤣
Your right it worked! I was one of those afraid of blowing board up. The extra gauge i ordered from amaz I'm taking back!
Same
Want to add to the thank you list! New to me board and I was inflating it to make sure it would hold air after sitting unused for a couple of years before they decided to sell it. I thought the gauge was not working. Your video was exactly what I needed. Thanks to you I can hit the water and have a great time.
Thanks for putting this video up its very helpful I was thinking it would be the pressure gauge not working but keep going and boom it up at its stated pressure 15PSI
This is EXACTLY what I needed - thank you!
Thank you. I was worried I was going to pop the board so kept stopping thinking my gauge was broke.
Thank you. I was already looking for a new pump on Amazon. You saved me $$!
Thanks this helped alot!
Awesome, bought a used sup, thought the gauge was busted, so like you said, sup look inflated, but I was no where even close. Was bummed, found this video, and sure as sh@t I hadn’t even got to the point where the gauge would even register. Great advice, thanks.😊
Thank you. As a rookie I really appreciate the info.
Yup, I'm another one who spent the first day on a 1/3 inflated sup and thought his pump is broken. I had fun anyway :) thanks for the tip
Thank you so much for this video! I just started last night and I was so nervous pumping cuz it only register 8 and I was trying to get to at least 12 and it was getting really tough, i was afraid something wasn't registering properly or it would burst. Now i know for next time to keep going.
12 psi is plenty for 15 psi board WHEN it is 90° or hotter in TX sun. Air will expand. Too many people pump to max and then are surprised when SUP pops a leak a couple minutes later. AIR EXPANDS in heat.
Great video, just what I needed.
Thank you!! I thought my gauge was broken. 😊
Thanks! I wish the instruction book was this clear.
This video was a big help thankyou
Thank you! Needed this video!
Perfect thankyou and short video which is excellent. 😊
Thanks for that juicy hint!
Perfect video! Thank you!
So helpful!!!!! Thank you!! ☀️
Great video!!
Thank you, I thought mine was broken 😂😂
Great tip thanks and btw great background.
AMAZING VIDEO THANK YOU QUEEN
Was almost sunburn before I built up pressure.
Thank you !! I totally thought mine was broken
Thank you!
SWEET THANK YOU!!!
Thank you ❤
My pumps aren’t registering at all - so when you get to 8psi will the gauge needle suddenly go up ?
Lmao !!!! Thank you for this vid!😂
Thanks
LIFESAVER!!!
Thnx
Hi, After use when deflating, is it best to leave the dual action red bung in or out? Many thanks
Until the vessel starts holding real pressure the gauge is not going to register it. It will sit at atmospheric pressure until you get that thing rock hard and then you’ll see your psi go up.
❤ Yeah, some people are just really not up to speed with how reality works. Why would anyone think the gauge is going to register pressure before it's filled to 1 atmosphere?😂
It's still strange. My starting moving when my board is as hard as a soccer ball. When I reached 10, I was afraid it's going to explode
I took 5.40 minutes to pump it up to the recommended 15. Now I fear the pump is broken 😄
It takes me 45 minutes
What happens if air is rushing out the top of the chamber?
yoo.. I shoulda watched this video before I took my paddle board out for the first time. i swear i think my pump gauge ain't workin.. till now.. imma try again.
How many pumps is everyone averaging? 200 plus?
Companies should explain and link this video !!!! People pump it to the max … then through it into a hot truck get to the beach and through it on the hot sand . It gains 1psi every 15 min in the sun out of water in the tests !!! Then people want a redound when it explodes.
If you get close to your PSI, and want to rest for a few minutes, before pumping the last bit, does the air stay in if everything is attached?
Hi Karen so yes if your valve is closed you can stop anytime to rest without air escaping. Make sure to watch our "Tips for inflating your SUP" to ensure your valve is set correctly before inflating. Have fun!
My board is super stiff, I stood on it and it feels very hard. Yet my gauge registers zero, the needle doesn’t move at all. This is the case with both gauges I tried…is this normal?
Seriously, how hard is it to pump up a SUP with a manual pump ?
The reason I ask is that I am about to buy my first paddleboard having hired boards in 2021 and have narrowed my choice down to two: the iRocker All-Around 11’ or the Bluefin Cruise.
The BlueFin however comes with a free electric pump. A mate who owns one says the electric pump is almost essential, but to be fair he only got a single chamber manual pump with his board. The iRocker is a 2-chamber pump
first time out today, had the same concern, less 5 mins it was 'fully inflated', few more mins to get to psi. I'm 100kg and pretty decent shape, so maybe im just a good pumper?
Longer to put away. My board is 11ft for reference. Single action pump.
@@thebobman69 Thank you for your comment.
In the end I decided to buy the Bluefin Cruise .. at £449, with a kayak seat, double paddle and a free electric pump; it was too good an offer to miss. There's also the standard single chamber pump too. Hopefully I get out on it very soon .. just wish the North Sea was a litle warmer .. it's f f f f f r r r e e e e e e z i n g g g g
So .. you are a good pumper .. my wife says I am a good pumper too, but I think she means something else 😂
Pump is at 9 psi rn. Not working anymore. I tried pumping both with and without the plug at the top. There is no pressure on pushing down. I have pumped this board to 15 psi twice without any issues. Guess my pump actually is broken lmao
Edit: opened the pump. It looks like the o ring came off and is stuck at the bottom.
Took my wife about 6mins ti get it to 10psi
So many inappropriate things to say...
