Schumacher had no reasons at all to do that, nobody stole his championship before like Prost and Jean-Marie Balestre did to Senna. Senna's family said he went back to Brazil in 89 and he was completely broken inside, they broke his spirit so he said said he would quit F1 forever and try a career on formula Indie or somewhere else, many people spoke to him calming him down, giving advices, close friends, family, famous F1 people, ex world champions, till he finally changed his mind and drove for Mclaren again in 1990

Senna didn't revenge Prost it was all about Balestre and how he used his position to give the championship to Prost in 89 and accuse Senna of all kinds of things without any basis. Prost did exactly the same thing (restart after a coming together) that year in the Germany grand prix. And then 1 year later Belestre tries do it again. Balestre changed the pole from the clean side to the dirty side of the track, helping his favourite French driver, Mr Prost. As Senna later said, it had been agreed pole would be on the clean left side of the grid but it got changed. He then decided if Prost got to the first corner first, Prost would not be making out of the corner ahead. Personally, I don't blame Ayrton - he was a man of principal and did what was kind of just, even if slightly dangerous. He was wronged the year before in '89, again by Balestre and his French favouritism. According to Ron Dennis, Ayrton was in deep conflict after what he did here but sometimes you have to stand up for what is right and play them at their own game.

@Crixus Mauperthuis Well indeed, but watching from the American and Australian TV the commentators confirmed it was Prost closing the door. To be fair Prost was also frustrated being the one who stopped both of them from crashing. But he closed the door in a clever way, at the slowest speed possible compared to what Senna did the next year. I like aggressive drivers. In fact Rosberg was the one I admire most from that era. But in comparison, Senna jumped over the limit of aggressive but fair.

Lauda, Hunt, Rosberg and Mansell all said that 1989 was Senna's fault, I much prefer to listen to world champions than a nobody like you who has never even sat in a racing car. I could not watch all of this video, I find it sickening. It shows how disgusting Senna could be, the awful smirk on his face before he starts to lie so blatantly and Ron Dennis knew he was lying. Senna admitting a year later that he was not interested in racing at Suzuka only in crashing into Prost and some morons still try to blame Prost for it.
Before then I had like many others made allowances for Senna and considered him to be one of the best but when I saw the crash and Senna's behaviour I lost all respect for him. I would not say I am glad he died but in a way it can be seen as Senna's own silly fault and he could have killed or been killed due to his dangerous driving.

Senna, despite having to pit for a new front wing and having a big gap to Nannini, still spectaculously won the race.
