    I just found a good way to trick myself into getting productive by instead of thinking about the work I could or should do, I just started going to my workshop every day, no matter what. By now, it works.

      @@kerenbanget1 Well, the productivity by now always was > 0. And anything getting done strengthened my general confidence in my capabilities. At the end, what holds you back from a task is often a more or less conscious fear about struggling or failing.

    Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they fear the success they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy and carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the ‘someday I’ll’ philosophy

      @bvillebikelady3651 9 месяцев назад +5

      Find a good support program for the addiction first. Where work is concerned, apply for every opening you can find that you can do. Above all, don't give up! 🙏❤

    • @MyOver50
      @MyOver50 9 месяцев назад +4

      Not working & being unproductive is the catalyst for your addiction. You're not living a productive healthy life & doing nothing means in 6 months, things could be a lot worse. You can do this! Close your eyes & picture yourself back working & getting that paycheck & feeling better about yourself. I'd even find a place you can volunteer at while job searching. You know applying for jobs is hard work, so start by getting your skills together to show them off. Start by dedicating an hour a day to get your stuff together & make a list of people you know whom might have job leads. The sooner you start being responsible your self esteem will be better. I believe in you!

    Thank you for this, I'm going to give it a go to create the stimulus to practice the guitar more. I love playing, but when it gets difficult, I find it hardsr to pick up.
    One thing I read, is that smell evokes memory FAR more than sound or visual stimulus.. therefore it might spur you to get to work more easily if you smell a candle or perfume.
    So, pick a smell that can be associated with starting work or practicing something and use it as a trigger.. it should be 10x more effective than a a aong or picture.

    I have and always had this one problem: At first, I recognize that are so many different activities and hobbies which I know I could be very passionate about. Be it editing videos, making music or writing stories, to name just a few examples. But precisely because there are so many different options to choose from, I can't manage to decide on one particular thing. It's like the agony of choice. I also find it difficult to find the necessary motivation and energy because I know that these things require a certain amount of mental effort - even though they would be fun despite or because of this. And so it often happens that I simply end up doing nothing at all and end up back in front of the PC playing pointless video games. Has anyone here had the same problem in the past and any tips on how to solve it?

    • @mehdii448
      @mehdii448 9 месяцев назад +2

      Nobody knows the future so I suggest to not take this into consideration. When people say ''you will fail or you will win'' nobody actually know for sure. It's all about destiny and the efforts you put in. Also maybe you can use this as a motivation to prove those people wrong, not necessarily to brag after but twist those words into motivation. But I think this should be ''additional'' motivation because what you do is for you first! And even if you ''fail'' it's part of the journey. Failing is not the end of the world, many successful people failed a lot until they win unexpectedly even if it's another field that there originally were.
