I got my Daytona cherry before my 86 is arriving but I contacted likewise before ordering and they verified that the collar adapter plus+ is the one to place for the 2022 manuals. I’ll give an update when I install mine
Thanks for the video! But that’s definitely the wrong adapter. You’ll need to use our Collar Adapter PLUS+ (Type A) which allows the reverse lockout to function like normal. This is also listed in the Fitment chart on our website 👌🏼

You can trying getting a collar adapter from likewise to replace but you got. It’ll cover up that weird gap, reverse lockout should work fine, no issues. And just put on the adapter you have, tighten the collar towards the adapter and vice versa, then slap on the shift knob. 👌🏼 Can’t wait to see what wheels you got. I have artisa elders, but now the forged anovia elders are calling my name.
I got the collar adapter just didn’t work with the reverse lockout, I contacted them and they said they’re working on a updated version that works with reverse lockouts!
Thanks Michael! The Collar Adapter PLUS+ works perfectly with the 2022 BRZ reverse lockout. The adapter used in this video is the Thread Adapter PLUS+ which isn’t designed for this vehicle.

The US GR86 doesn't have that coin hole in the center console. I've seen Japan has it.

What kind of plug is in the glove compartment ? A 12v . I might get one of those escort 360 does it need to be mounted in the middle of the dash ? Also where did you get there mirror 🪞?
Yes, it can be mounted wherever through suction, and I got the Broadway mirror off ebay!

I like the look of the knob but that fitment wont fly with me.
Metal shift knobs are the best , until them hot sunny days lol.
That’s why you get the squid plushy to put over it on those hot days

My 800KM fiat abarth 124, same problem. like only 800km and I was super careful to every gear change. It just break my heart to see my new car shift knob damage so quick. I'm also looking for a new shift knob to replace it. I assume cuz my hand always sweaty when driving so ... and its leather that is why maybe... this is the only reason I can think of now.
There's quite a few options, but it would def be something to consider swapping!
If the stock shift knob is leather like it is in the nd miatas you need to give it leather feed from time to time. I’m using the same wearelikewise shift knob.
I like the knob and went to their site. Not sure why you can't just tell them you have a 2022 BRZ and they automatically just send you everything you need rather than trying to piece together what you hope is what you need.....Didn't end up ordering one. I have one just like yours, same model and color and noticed on the dash that it tells you what gear you're in. Mine doesn't do that. Is there somewhere you need to go to to activate that feature?
Mine came like that, however there is track mode which activates a different cluster, and you can also activate the beep through screen setting from shifts, but not sure about enabling gear display
Thanks for the feedback! We make a lot of adapters that fit many different cars, but we have a Fitment chart on our website that clearly lists the adapter required for your particular vehicle.

You’ll need the Collar Adapter PLUS+, not the Thread Adapter PLUS+ as shown in the video. The Collar Adapter PLUS+ allows the reverse lockout to function like normal.
bru i bought the same adapter, waited until i got my gr86, tried to instal it and got triggered, then found out the collar adapter works, waited till i had money to order that, then watched that video and now im absolutely heated
