  • In this video both our frs/brz get a nice shiftknob upgrade! Hope you gain some insight on how these shift knobs look in ours cars! The thicc boi is alot heavier than the daytona regular knob, it is very nice and weighted, but the daytona has very nice grips to shift with.
    shiftknobs were bought here:

Does the metal get too hot in the sun? I’m afraid of getting the heavy one cuz it might mess with the lockout gates. Gotta remember that the shifter likes to shake around while driving. That and the extra stress from the throws with the added weight. I think there’s a reason the shifter has stops.

Yea, it can get pretty warm. I have an old sunglass cloth case that I can throw on it in the summer which should help. I don't think that a heavy shift knob would damage the transmission. I would understand that it may cause some wear, but not detrimental. I'd have to do some research on that as well.

Not a fan of that collar. Shifter is taller than it was and looks slapped together. Its like the engineers were like "well shit, that doesnt fit.... just shove something in there to fill the gap. "
