      B) Katara wasn't "collateral". Azula attacked her directly. She was staying in the sidelines were she shouldn't have been invlolved.

      @@tafana And back to Azula attacking Katara is dishonourable, it is because this is a fight between *Zuko* and *Azula* . It's to see who is the better firebender/fighter. Katara could not get involved and she was not allowed to fight Azula.
      It's the same reason why you can't attack your oponents coach during a boxing match or why the geneva convention considers attacking civilians a war crime.

    Its actually quite odd, Zuko as a kid is shown to not be very good at fire bending, but by the time hes like 10? Hes confident enough to facea general in an Agni Kai, and is able to beat Zhao at just 13.

      @thewarrior130 was he? I didn't realize he was that old in TLA, I thought he was 14 at the shows end? But I guess he was 16 lol. Still though, he's someone that wasn't exactly super strong as a kid.

      I don't think Zuko was ever actually bad at fire bending. Zuko is one of the most skilled fire benders alive. He even has a unique style just to himself like Toph if I remember correctly. Zuko's just been gaslit his entire life by his abusive family and for some reason the fandom just runs with that perspective like it's not coming from the worst source. Rewatch his fights with Azula after he joins the Gaang but before her breakdown and the gap between them isn't as large as people make it out to be.

    • @ZenKrio

      @@blissfulrain he was bad, we saw that flashback where his fire bending in front of Azulon was so bad that Ozai was disgusted and his wife had to take Zuko away, whereas Azula was a prodigy. It's very much possible that Iroh trained Zuko and made him a lot better during his banishment though.

    • @blissfulrain
      @blissfulrain 5 месяцев назад

      @@ZenKrio Based on his abusive family's standards. We have no idea what level that move was just that he couldn't do it in that moment. Even if Zuko was above average if he wasn't prodigy level he'd still be treated as a failure. If all it took was training from his nonabusive family member to get him to a level where he's able to beat Zhao, who was Jeong Jeong's strongest student, I'd argue he was never actually bad.

      @@ZenKrio it isn't that he was confident, he likely knew he would lose, but he knew it had to be done and he was the only one willing to do it. Had his father not broken the honor code of Agni Kai, twice mind you (both by taking over the fight and by harming his opponent after achieving victory), that fight would have stood as a powerful act of resistance against the cowardly tactics the fire nation was choosing to employ. He's prideful, sure, and very naive and genuinely gaslit. But he's never been shown to be stupid. He's socially stunted, but he was a master tactician even as a kid. It was kinda his downfall for a while, lol, because the Gaang's lack of solid planning made it really hard for him to get a beat on what they were up to.

      It did end up that way, but Agni Kai isn't a fight to the death. Nobody is supposed to die during one. It's supposed to solve disputes, not end lives.
      Zuko vs Azula FEELS like a fight to the death, but she specifically challenged him to Agni Kai so the rules applied up until Azula dishonorably broke them by dragging a spectator (Katara) into the fight to force Zuko to take a hit.
      It wasn't an Agni Kai anymore after that 😅

    Zuko shown disrespect to his father in the war room so made sense he would have to fight him. Zuko disrespect his father again by showing weakness in the agni kai since he was the crown prince the future leader of the fire nation. His father wouldn't have burn his faceif he put up a little fight. Off topic creators of MHA watch ATLA and said we are going to make a character that can use fire and water since they wanted Zuko and katara together😂
