- April Bloomfield, the woman who gave the middle finger to the highbrow/lowbrow food divide and brought gastropubs to New York, gives us a peek into the culinary empire -- the Spotted Pig, the Breslin, and the John Dory Oyster Bar -- that she and her partner Ken Friedman are building. Bloomfield, equal parts badass and softie, takes us to her favorite haunts and lays down her philosophy on cooking and life (in short, don't be a wuss). The night ends in a beautiful blur of pickelbacks and pong at the Breslin.

I think this video is great. I don't understand why people find it uninteresting. I think its great that Bloomsfield had reached as far as she has. It's much more difficult for women than men to establish themselves in the professional restaurant industry.
Funny how in Episode 2 show 18 at 14:02 the ring that was on her ring finger goes to the pinky and then back to the ring finger.
RUCOLA!!! I love that place, lived right around the corner. This part of Brooklyn is where I was born and raised and I love how it has becoming such a melting pot for such amazing culinary cuisine over the years. If you find yourself in these parts, I would also recommend Prime Meats and Frankie's 457! If you just want some quick, cheap, great and huge portion italian Vinny's of Carroll Gardens is my absolute favorite restaurant, I've been going there my whole life!

Has anyone been to there website damn, they try to cover all grounds on the youtube channel so they put things from every one of there series up Munchies, vice guide to travel, producers, the cute shit etc. Vice.com itll save you the trouble of wondering why they post different things. Vice started as a magazine got started a website and put different things from their website on the youtube channel. This is an old episode of munchies
Some people actually like listening to chefs muse about food. The same way some people like listening to artists muse about music or whatever. Just because Vice wants to add food to their repertoire of culture-coverage, doesn't mean they haven't lost their edge.
C'mon guys. It's not like they're getting rid of the Do's and Don'ts or anything.

Are you serious? Have you ever read Vice magazine or been to the website? They do tell honest journalism, but they started out as a fashion magazine. They're not a news source, they cover music, films, art, skateboarding and fashion along with the serious journalism.
