Those two bozos were and are highly overrated. Ebert gets it wrong so often, if he were an oddsmaker at the track, I’d bet against him all the time. In his review for “Splash”, he actually recommends that Tom Hanks and John Candy should’ve switched places for their roles, and it would’ve been a better movie. Whatever Ebert ;stick to telling everybody that you were a screenwriter too, simply because you did the script for “beyond the valley of the dolls” for Russ Meyer…
Ebert always reminded me of the character wearing the Spock ears in the Saturday Night Live skit who William Shatner shames by asking him if he'd ever kissed a real woman.
