I discovered it about half a year ago, through King Gizzard's Rattlesnake. Still exploring this web of talent and creativity. Not just amazing music but also really cool videos and artwork.

I'm sure no one will read this comment, seeing as how all the other comments here are a few years old, but I just wanted to reminisce for a minute. Back in the summer of 2017, I spent most of my days in a haze on chill pills and weed. Good times. In August, (I believe it was the 21st,) we had a massive solar eclipse. The first full eclipse in my area in over 30 years. I spent the day on my back porch, bathed in the heat and humidity of a sultry Georgia summer. As the moment of totality approached, I was listening to this album. It got darker and darker by the minute. Then, as "Ophelia" began to play, the sky went completely dark. The birds stopped singing. The wind began to blow. The temperature dropped several degrees instantaneously. I felt a deep sense of awe and realized exactly how small we all are. Now as I listen to it again, I am back in that moment. I'll never forget that moment, and "Ophelia" will always bring me back to that day.
That song is extra good. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. I'm trusting in nothing but the blood of Jesus to pay for my sins to keep me out of hell.
Albums like that make me want to stay alive. Thanks for post.
Jay nick and Kevin are the holy trinity
kevin, nick and stu
Dwyer, Nick and Stu
and Dom
Don't Let Time get You Down is the most underrated track on this album. Don't ever stop Jay!
It sounds exactly like The Underdog
Artomiix The Underdog references this track on a few lines.
Arghh I can't get enough of that Aussie psych vibe. Give me more!!!

Jay you are awesome!!
Fucking love "Ophelia"
Not nearly as popular as Tame Impala, but just as good. Just like Pond.
And Jay Watson has been involved with all of these bands.
I agree that this is just as good as Tame, but Pond towers above all imo.
soundcloud playlist?
Is Ophelia a cover?
stealing from justice a bit eh
Holy shit what. How in the actual fuck do you hesr justice anywhere in this? Braindead comment lol
I LOVE this album.. I love every GUM album but I LOVE this one.
Distorted Star is a goddamn masterpiece. So very, very, _VERY_ good in every way.
Rares, Ophelia and Honey (Don´t Cry) are the best of the album

Flash in the pan tem uma vibe muito anesthetized lesson, na moral

rares tho... Gum(by), (if you even read these comments), I hope you can make a dope video for rares. Love the whole album!
the font style is pretty amazing
Os discos de Jay são muito unrated, na moral.
Tras la primera escucha, me ha parecido un LP más experimental y sosegado que el anterior pero muy "nutritivo" también.
Gracias Spinning top music.
THIS IS MY SHIT MANNNN
This whole album is 5 outta 5 stars, just stellar. But then there's Ophelia. and it's a six-star song.
The font reminds of the album "Zuckerzeit", band Cluster
Fuck this is a true masterpiece
Don't let time get you down
The whole album on youtube. Well played STM.
check out the belligerents -science fiction album. has a similar vibe
BOTA PRA FODER, JAYYYY
Don't let time get you down could be a david bowie song in the 80ies, very nice. He sounds a bit like him
26:13. I'm marking this for my own pleasure.
I assume with a name like Gum they're sweet but tough to digest
What are those instruments on Ophelia? That song is absolute black magic!
So,
If Tame Impala - The new Beatles, then
Gum - The new Prince? 😁
oh yeah he reminds something about Prince and George Micheal too!
Rares is my fav track only critique is that the track is not longer! That second half sounds nostalgic and futuristic at the same time
Holy crap, he sounds so much like Prince on 'Don't Let Time get you Down'.
damn the bass on Gemini is so groovy!
this is sweet. it's like the sum of dent may + laser background
