Does anyone else wonder whether these songs were written under the influence of a highway?? The synths purr like laughing automobile engines, made of the finest porcelain and crystals. Anyone who has lived near a highway can tell you. It's a growling noise, but it has a pleasant familiarity once you get used to it. Maybe boc just delivers what is familiar in our subconscious. Maybe it is the automobile that drives us, just for once?
the truck sound in Odd Nosdam's mix of Dayvan Cowboy - a sound coming from far away then disappearing into the night - is that Highway sound you talk about - recall that they did travel Canada and the US in the late 90's where they picked up the sound, and have used it in their sound here and there ever since
Most of their music has a feeling of a journey, either by road, rail, air, sea or space. There are lots of their tunes that has the rhythmic sound of a train on tracks at various speeds. They also capture the sound and feeling of weather perfectly which adds to the trip. The music is largely nostalgic nods to the sounds of our childhood. Projector sounds & PSA films, Train travel & seaside trips, wildlife walks, kite flying, sail boating etc. Oh & distant chatter/laughter carried by the wind. Making music that you can feel is a rare gift & these boys are absolutely brimming with it.

I loved Tomorrow's Harvest when it came out in 2013. Listening to it now it sounds prophetic to the utter insanity we seem as a society and species to be hurtling towards at an increasing rate.
@@bufallowolfbear Well mate turning to anyone when it's all fucked seems a little needy. I say take a chance. Jesus is going to do fuck all and to turning to him because someone thinks they're going to get saved or get something out of the geezer seems like a selfish fucker move. You can be a good person and not have religion in your life. @Ronnie Sullivan thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
It wasn't until I noticed the "official artist" badge that I decided to look up Kip's other videos. Been seriously missing out! Some fantastic music in there.
Great stuff -- I've never heard BoC tunes mixed this way. And right as "Dayvan Cowboy" started, the sun came out from behind a cloud and beamed into my windows.
its so wild to me that this music can inspire nostalgia so deep it makes me weep with happiness and the deepest sadness... Man I miss those days... So. so much. this music is a time machine...

I listen to this mix pretty much on a daily basis. It's really nice. Think you managed to capture the essence of BOC in just over 50 minutes. Extremely well done!
Someone very close to them (like in their mngmt team on Warp or something ) confirmed that BoC was working on new material. But we do know it might take a while before we hear that.
@@carrauntoohil86 ok it keep getting deleting because I can’t share any link but it’s on a Reddit thread. Someone really close to BoC mentionned they were working on a new record but there is no detail
damn solid mix but for absence of the beach at redpoint. and nice capping it off with olson vs corsair i think that's chiller n happier. like to think about 911 as little as possible while tryna have a good time.
your blend is great, but I believe you can make it awesome. looking forward to hearing your other mixes and new ones. I'm an old 80s clubber and we like awesome blends
Thank you for this mix, and thank you BOC for your amazing genre of (i don't even know what to call it), mysterious dark gloomy nostalgic ethereal deep trance genre. Feelings I didn't even know I had 💙
I come back to this mix so often I wish there were a way to support! So great, in so many ways, both obvious and subtle. I hope inspiration strikes for a Part II (?). Thank you again. 🎯

Jesus Christ is coming back soon, repent and turn to Him. Been thinking about that myself, Tomorrow's Harvest is a very interesting title for an album
