The philosophical scene between Gowasu and Zamasu is one of my favorite in the whole series. It was masterfully done. The script, the setting with the petals, the tea, the ideological dilemmas, and the voice acting. What a gem.
I think Zamasu’s and Gowasu’s philosophical conversation is a very important scene and is often overlooked by some. This particular was done so well, and the tea just serves as a great symbol of this conversation
Honestly I see the Goku-Zeno relationship this way: Zeno is basically a child with a immaturity personality, but everyone that meets with him cowers in fear, due to obviously his status and his power to literally annihilate anything with but a thought. To Zeno, the other gods and even his attendants are like co-workers, who just does what the boss says. But with Goku, he shows no fear when meeting with Zeno, and he has a immature personality just like him. And when you meet someone with similar tastes you definitely would like to connect
Yep it reminds me of how they treat a Prince who has been kept, housed and pampered all his life and has grown bored and is looking for new and exciting things outside of the palace life. Zeno is such an interesting take on “God” as he comes off as childish but also we know they fear him for good reasons as they’ve seen/heard about him eliminating universes. So by that he also has moments in the show where he seems pretty sure in his reasons and just think it very unique of him having almost a childlike personality but also comes off as all knowing… or at least his decisions are not to be questioned.
It makes more sense though when you think about it. The Angels are just serving their Destroyers, but the Supreme Kai watches over the universe they are part of and Zeno watches over all of them, so them instant going to Zeno to report anything makes sense in that manner.
They say children watch Anime, but in reality, Anime holds a deeper meaning than any of the live-action series we watch. The philosophical scene between Gowasu and Zamasu is just Perfect🔥
Fun fact: James Marsters voiced Zamasu (Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer). He also played the role of Piccolo daimao in the Dragonball evolution real action cinema movie. He loves Dragonball too.
honeslty guys jiren was a perfect example for a man who tries to build himslef up depite the circumstances are extreme which is why i love the character
Also about Zamasu and Gowasu's philosophy is that Zamasu thinks that mortals are committing a sin which his own opinion of justice while Gowasu sees mortals from a barbaric creatures to then finding enlightenment such is such a direct play on Journey to the West how the Monkey King was evil then became enlightenment as well as Buddhism and Taoist teachings but anyway basically Zamasu and Gowasu's philosophy is western vs eastern
Angels and Gods alike can see the true nature of a character; they know Goku is not evil, in fact.....a power he awakens later in super has only been achievable by angels which must maintain a neutrality in the universe. It is Goku's purity that allows him to achieve it. Youll find out in a month or two if you continue watching episode to episode.
That scene with Gowasu and Zamasu was perfect! If Madison liked this then she will definitely enjoy Death Note and YuYu Hakusho. Both of those series deal with heavy themes that Madison will definitely appreciate.
You guys make my day by making me laugh with your reactions. I have childhood ptsd and have been through a lot and still do today, but watching your videos for dragon ball helps make me laugh and feel better and to forget some of my troubles and symptoms from that, like when Zeno randomly showed up at beerus place and whis was cooking something and when he found out it was zeno he got surprised and smashed hit head on the table which had me laughing hard too! I like your personalities and energy and things like that too.
Whis: "When a Destroyer of a Universe dies, The Supreme Kai of that Universe goes along with them." *Goku flashbacks to him threatening to blast The Supreme Kai back in the Buu Saga* 😂😂😂
Zamasu is an interesting villain. He seems like he regretted it at first, that he isn't truly evil and had somewhat good intentions overall. I mean, mortals do have serious problems
Of course he would have cared. That is why it’s bad writing, because introducing that link makes the whole Buu saga (and Bibidi’s attack originally) impossible as Beerus would have 100% stepped in if his life was on the line. The supreme kai - destroyer link was introduced only because that was the only way Black could get rid of the Destroyers in the story, which was needed in order for it to make sense no one was stopping his actions.
This is one of my favorite episodes too but the reason why Goku acts like this in Super is because Dragon Ball Z is all about Goku embracing his Saiyan side but in Super the reason why Goku acts like that because he balance his Saiyan side and make it more his Earthling nature that Grandpa Gohan raise him as also why Goku is not bowing to higher deities because his purity is of a child and an animal and that's why i love Goku's character because he is literally the purest being in the universe and a pinnacle of mortal development that the Gods see in Goku
@@shaun2301-gr8bj Yeah you may have a point there because i never read the manga only the anime but I'm still finding lores in Dragon Ball and Journey to the West, i was influenced by a DB youtuber Jordan The DragonLee, he read the manga and watch the anime and he's a huge Journey to the West fan like me but his knowledge is still far beyond my but Thanks for saying that if i got it wrong because I'm still learning but yeah also of what's going on in the manga in DBS, Goku is fighting like a Saiyan for now so i kinda agree to you
As much as I enjoy Goku's antics, he's not at all in line with his character. I recently watched the entirety of Dragon Ball, and I've started watching Dragon Ball Z from the start too. Goku wasn't only more serious before, but he was very well mannered and quite intelligent. Only at the start of Dragon Ball as a kid out in the woods did he appear 'dumb' and only because he was alone in the woods. Even then he was quite witty, just young and uneducated.
Goku calling Zeno "Zenny" caused a bit of confusion because it is pronounced the same way as the word "Zeni", the money you get after winning the World Martials Arts Tournament on earth in Dragon Ball
i dont think there is anything complicated about why zeni and goku get along and why zeni is seemingly child like.. genuinely wholesome characters, goku is much more innocent and naive but not as dumb as everyone thinks. goku is pretty f smart. zeni, he is a very dense character and feel that off intuition. kinda like yoda in episode 5
I just don't like how stupid super made Goku. He might have been a little stupid in dbz but super goes so far it seem to be making fun of Goku. Even in GT Goku wasn't turned that ignorant (while being a child)
Madison: "I love seeing other planets and worlds" I couldn't agree more, dragonball Z sucked me in with that right from the Namek Saga. The only other show that's given me a sense of that is Hunter X Hunter near the end of it.
The reason why Zeno called Goku to give him the Zeno button was because Zeno secretly watch the fight between Goku & Goku Black. Zeno knows that this impostor in Goku's body will be too powerful for anyone even the gods to defeat so Goku will use the Zeno button to summon Zeno to erase Goku Black to prevent him from causing trouble
In the manga they said grand minister (priest) is actually the strongest among those top 5 fighters. So technically he is the 2nd strongest in the multiverse after zeno AND the STRONGEST fighter since zeno isn't a fighter
If you remember goku also threatened to destroy the Supreme kai when Majin vegeta blew up the tournament grounds in Z also. Imagine if beerus learned about that 🤔😬😵

Man, the Supreme Kai COULD NOT wait until Goku was done talking to Grand Zeno. He was going through it.
Buddy was SICK😂
Lololololol. So true 😂
Guy felt his sanity cracking at the seams during that entire conversation.
Why was he moaning, bro😂

I wouldn't call it immaturity, it l's more like innocence. There is no malice in their hearts.
They basically gave the supreme kai this advantage of going to Zeno’s palace instantaneously to make shin not be totally useless 😂
It makes more sense though when you think about it. The Angels are just serving their Destroyers, but the Supreme Kai watches over the universe they are part of and Zeno watches over all of them, so them instant going to Zeno to report anything makes sense in that manner.
