- On the episode of Florida Roadside Attractions & Abandoned Places we explore the many abandoned, graffitied, & forgotten buildings of historic Brooksville, Florida, during a wicked haunting thunderstorm. Also, a revisit to the haunted May-Stringer House, Coney Island Drive-I (where ELVIS ate), and some filming locations to Deathedream (1974). So much ahead in this one!
My Deathhdream aka Dead of Night filming locations video shot in Brooksville:

Dear Jay, I know you don't know me. But I just want to leave this here for you and Chris. My husband of 35 years passed away today. But I know you and Chris will help me get through it. Your videos helped me get through needing and recovering from a recent hip replacement surgery. Y'all keep up the great videos. I know one day both of you will be able to quit your day jobs and do this exclusively. I love both of you and couldn't have been happier when I found out the two of you were getting married. Your fan Janet.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, my friend. My deepest sympathies. You are an incredibly awesome person and thank you so much for living, vicariously and being here. It means so much to me. Your husband will always be with you and your heart, and your soul, and all around you forever I pay tribute to him and will be thinking and praying for you! You’re awesome my friend. Thanks for making my day.
We both appreciate you thank you Janet
That Alien graffiti art was amazing
Next time I visit my dad in Hudson, I'm going to make a trip up to see the Brooksville area. So many interesting places up in that neck of the woods.
Awesome adventure Jay... appreciate you sharing your day with us. Those old homes are really amazing and glad to see them preserved. And to finish the day off with a delicious few hot dogs..well that's just icing on the cake. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure my friend 😎🇺🇸👍🐊🌭
Thanks my friend! I appreciate ya watching and leaving an amazing comment. Dogs are no joke delicious! Much appreciated
Love that this episode came through for you. Brooksville is a cool town. I lived there for 2 months with my sister and family in the summer of 1971 after my parents moved from Temple Terrace after I graduated from King and then in August I started a new adventure as a freshman at FSU. Met my husband of almost 50 years there in the line to get our ID pictures made.
Good to be a fan of you Tampa jay and Chris the girl waiting for hunts on
I am gonna steal that umbrella from y’all. And that Mermaid kinda looks like a giant 90s era Barbie Happy Meal toy, which makes me love it even more.
Haha Cris always picks out the coolest stuff, umbrella. It did look like a Barbie it was super cool. ha thanks for watching my friend
Your very right about the Mermaid 🧜♀️ Oh my goodness how funny bc I always wonder why McDonald's made barbies face so ugly...😊
Hey Jay can you tell me when you guys are going to start your Halloween haunts? I LOVE the roadside attractions and the best part is when you guys go to haunted places.

Love Brooksville. Next time you make a trip towards Mount Dora, make a contact. We are next door in Eustis. We can show you some old, interesting houses. Most people just pass Eustis by and just go to Mount Dora. I used to work for the Eustis Chamber of Commerce and know some interesting places.

Hi, You're a brave one adventuring in the woods alone. Stay safe ✌🏽 ❤
Thank you
Another great video bro.. keep ‘em coming ..I’m sure the hot dogs are great but that looks like a knock off of the hot dogs in the real Coney Island in Brooklyn Ny those are The World Famous Hotdogs ..Oh and it might be time for a new TB hat lol
That wasn't a bear, it was a Sloth! 😀
My fiance and i love these videos!! Really all your vids!! We'd love to see one at Gatorland one day ❤ cant wait for your spooky season ones!!
Thank you so much
These abandoned places are so interesting, love my new channel👍👍👍
This is way too creepy/you’re a brave man!😮😂
Coney Island looks like my kind of place. I’m hoping to make it up there and check it out sometime soon. That Sinclair gas station looks awesome as well. I love repurposed gas stations.
Check out Bellview Florda, an hour north of Brooksville. Great old houses, white clapboard beauties.
I used to live near there thank you I gotta get back there
Careful at that first place, INSANE amount of ticks. Brooksville is very bad in general with ticks, but ive been to that place dozens of tiimes, got hella ticks without fail
Nice video
Thank you 😊
Interesting haunted house! I hope you will go back to Wauchula because I was born and raised there. You and Cris the girl are awesome! Keep it up!
I will return to Wauchula. The more and more I think about that day, the more and more I remember. Everything, it was so weird.
Hi Jay/I live in Southern California and the only Bob’s Burgers big boy is in Burbank California and it’s a diner and it’s pretty cool as the last one and it’s in Burbank I hope to see you here enjoying Bob’s big boy
always enjoy these videos a lot, making me hungry as well, good thing it is almost dinner time for me, and it look like an abandoned office park, that would have had law offices, health clinics an such, it as you said probably ran out of money and broke contract with the contracters is my guess to.
Imagine cruising the Florida back roads in that Midget.
Follow that dream was filmed in 1962 or 1963. Mostly in Marion county. I know that for sure. I lived in Ocala. At the time. And seen Elvis and the cast filming several scenes.
Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Mr Jay
Morning GH!
14:06 i believe that was the house where death dream was filmed. Its a wierd horror movie shot in brooksville. You can watch it on youtube
@tampajay.. Mountaineer Coffee in Oldsmar is closed. It was right at the front of my neighborhood! Bay Arbor in Oldsmar! I didn't know you love here previously 😂
Right next to my dentist lol
Brother your in my backyard. Hope you are well.❤
I'm from Tampa and have been in the construction industry for 5 years Brooksville is coming back up, the Catholic church just built a 20m dollar (probably more) church there
The first building never opened. I always wondered about it
Are you attending Spookala this year? This will be my first ever con to go to and I’m actually going to universal as well for spooky nights. Two birds with one stone!
Jay what the “bleep” I just watched your bloody bucket video and you telling that story Now the lightning and the spooky building what’s next 😳😳😳
Pretty creepy stuff lately my friend, thanks for watching
21:20 from what ive heard people hung from those trees
They say crows are a good owman to
@ 19:13 I could imagine what people are thinking seeing someone filming mannequins in pink dresses LOL
The Bob’s Big Boy is in Burbank California and has been visited numerous times by your friend Adam The Woo. 😊

When Blair bought it and started redoing the inside the grease and nicotine stains on the walls were crazy behind every sign and picture was ivory white the rest pure yella... that man put a lot work,$, time, and blood to bring it back to its former glory the90's weren't kind to old Coney!
Hey Jay. I think there's still Sinclair gas stations in Iowa and Wyoming that has the Dino
That’s really cool thank you so much
There a Bob big boy restaurant in ca burbank if you are ever out here again thanks for the video
Thank you I’ll have to check it out
You asked if that White House is haunted.... The haunted one is on Ft. Dade ave near the rail road tracks, it's the yellow house.
7:46 that gas stations got some good chicken livers
