My dad grew up there. That first house that you filmed on the right hand side down school street.. that's my cousin George's house. And right there at the corner of School Street and Public Street was my grandma and grandaddy's house. It's an empty field now as u can see. And the house that you made a comment about having a fence around it on Twigg street, is my aunt and uncle's house.
I recently relocated to Brooksville/Ridge Manor from Hollywood FL. The area will develop rapidly now that they are building so many HOA homes. It is going to be the new "Wesley chapel" as the residents say. Glad i got property there before the builders buy up the area!
Not fully a true description of that street. You're considering three or four blocks "The Hood". You have to be a person that never really lived in that specific area to really understand the people who live there. There's mainly a bunch of elderly people, churches ,and a Head start school there. That specific place is where we gathered for holidays/celebrations, funerals, and community prayer, and let's not forget community give backs and actually take care of the homeless. It was hard to own a home while black back in the days. Where else do you think black families were able to live because it was racial systematics of white zone and black zone. So to you may seem like a hood but to us is history. But I guarantee you if, you just come without your goggles of judgment. Twigg Streets will offer you a plate and a whole lot of love. The people are beautiful and kind there. Every place has its up and down. But try to figure out the whole story not just a bits of pieces of it.
Brooksville is a very weird town to me. It’s so huge in terms of land that you’d be seeing different types of areas. U have downtown Brooksville, then u have the area off the Suncoast, which is more coastal-like, then u have the area off I 75 which is mostly rural. Im surprised not many ppl know about or live in Brooksville, cuz it takes up 75% of Hernando County like a fat lump
I spent time on Twig Street hanging out with my friend. Nothing bad ever happened, but that was back in 2006-2008 I dont know how it is now. I used to work at the dairy queen down the street from Twig
No strip clubs in Hernando County got to go over past County Line Road it's a Pasco County they're all over there on 19 I don't know the name of now but it was the Players Club lollipops
It's one of those things, that you just got to let people look silly on their own. Even when there is information out there for free. I really wish this RUclipsr would have took a different direction when taking a tour and explain its history of Brooksville. Instead of educating, this RUclipsr really brought down a certain type of class and demographic in this video. Very disgusting and very irresponsible.
Have you ever asked yourself who drops it there? I lived in Alabama.. i know who litters there. See you cant pull the wool over me because i got a sheeps skin condom on for you already
@@thatguyjersey I used to with an ex of mine who's from there. She lives right next to the Walmart in Brooksville. Her family is always on Tigg Street. I miss being up there. I have been around Spring Hill too, a lovely place, and Weeki Wachee is nice too.

Thanks for honesty! Common sense and plain spoken. Love it.
If I had a dollar for every time he said twig street, I could go from here into social security
What constitutes “country”? Rural?
Brooksville is definitely both. More open land than buildings.
