I enjoy seeing your videos as I lived in DC from 1978 to 1987. Wow - DC has changed so much! I miss some of my favorite places like Woodies, Garfinkels,, Sholl's Cafeteria etc. I was working for a Christian Service organization and lived and worked at 16th & P St. NW. In my time there, I got to explore much of the city and area without having a car. I wore out many pairs of shoes! I am most grateful to have lived there and experience many wonderful things. Have you considered a video on the "Gold Coast part of DC just off upper 16th St., or the area around Sibley Hospital which has some beautiful neighborhoods as well. Anyways, thank you for providing these videos which bring back a lot of memories.
Thank you for watching and happy you enjoy the videos 🥰! Indeed, it’s changed and Woodies was my store. Oh goodness, do I know 16th & P well - that’s my neck of the woods. Car - parking no way would I ever get a car living in the city. I ❤️ DC and it’s been good to me. The Gold Coast and Palisades are very nice areas. Since it’s a normal place for me over the years just never thought to shoot there. You’re very welcome and I appreciate your support! Thank you for sharing your wonderful DC memories and making me smile 😊.
Yesss keep up the fantastic job showing our beautiful city!!! My mom and auntie use to go swimming when they were younger there. Original Washingtonians 🥰
Oh WOW🥰. Sweet memories. I certainly will continue to show the beauty and appreciate your kind spirit and warmth. Exploring the city is my favorite hobby. I often took sights for granted then realized not everyone knows or has seen what I’ve seen ♥️.
Thanks! It’s a very peaceful and lovely neighborhood. A little paradise off the main strip. Every time I’m there the Obamas are away. I’ll catch Michelle one day 🤣, I say let her know I stopped by. Guess I should call first LOL!
Do you offer personal tours? I've been in DC for 10 years and would love to offer my visitors a tour of the city with someone as knowledgeable and passionate as you.
Thank you for your lovely compliment 🥰! I’m delighted you feel the passion and enjoy my Channel! Exploring DC is my favorite hobby. I don’t currently offer tours but maybe that will change in the new year. I very much appreciate your support and if there’s something you’ll like to see, let me know. Wishing you a wonderful holiday and please stay in touch! Check out my blog queenofdc.com. I’m so proud of the work I’ve done with it and the many resources it provides♥️!
