Thanks so much for the tour. I greatly appreciate the information you provided and the time you took out of your day to educate us. I hope to visit dc one day. 😊😊
Hey, friends. Here's a silly question maybe. I know embassies aren't usually open to the public except during the special embassy open-house events, but is it possible to visit any areas of any embassies on a regular basis? Your info about the Japanese gardens behind the Japanese embassy is what has me wondering this. And the fact that we can wander into the gazebo at the Canadian embassy.
You can, kind of. You can request tours or educational visits (usually for groups as opposed to individuals, but never hurts to ask) Canden touted the Japanese embassy a few weeks ago. And sometimes they invite you in - Becca has been invited in when they saw our group outside.
I loved the tour just one question from a Scotsman why do Americans always refer to the UK as England it is highly offensive though I understand it's not meant to be
Thank you! Our team just got back from Edinburgh yesterday. I can't speak for all Americans but as far as our team in DC, a lot of it has to do with the topic we're chatting about. Especially in regards to the Revolutionary War, most Scots in the US and back in Scotland supported the colonists so often in talking about who we were fighting against, it was the English.
The Embassy of Romania is a beautiful white mansion located on Sheridan Circle in the heart of Embassy Row. She talks about it and shows it in the video at 31:18
The Russian Embassy is a huge complex with multiple large buildings way up on Wisconsin Avenue, just beyond Embassy Row. It's completely surrounded by a tall stone wall so it's hard to see into the property.
You do such a wonderful job explaining the history of this gorgeous area of DC! Thank you!
Becca is so passionate and knowledgeable, it's impressive and enlightening to listen to her teach me so much that I did not know
enjoyed this tour! thank you for sharing with us

Useless
DC is so beautiful I hope progressive democrats don't ruin it like San Francisco or Portland.
Republicans are the ones making homeless people, don’t blame SF and Portland because they don’t treat them like garbage like in most other cities
a bunch of intl ists ..
