This post-it note holder is AWESOME! This is the perfect type of craft to make in bulk, wrap up, and hand out during the Holiday Season for those special people in our lives. Also, switch up the paper for a different holiday, or just go with florals, etc., for any occasion, season, etc. So many reasons to make these. LOVE IT!! THANK YOU!! AND THANKS TO THE VIEWER WHO SENT IT IN TO YOU!!
This is one of the BEST projects Maymay has done for Christmas (legal pad holder in 2017 too). I have made over 100 of these in all themes. Fabulous easy, inexpensive, practical, short video! Thank you again (a year later) Maymay. 🎄
Yes!! I held a card class at a school and I ifinally settled on a certain amount. It wasn’t just about cost of materials, it was my talent and time! Why do people think that if we work for ourselves we should sell ourselves short?? This was SO cute!! Thank you! I love your humour!
Love this tutorial! I prefer your videos since you give all the instructions Maymay! You do not leave anything out which is great for me. Your videos are not long at all! This one looks easy! Thak you!
I could listen to you talk all day. You remind me of my best friend who lives in Texas and who I don't get to see very often. Love your videos too. They are creative and just fun to watch. Good work.
Love all your tutorials May May. None of them are too long. Prefer long vids and listening to you talk hunni. Keep them long hunni. I learn better from long tutorials. ❤️ xxxxxxx
Love this so easy peasy. Made 3 of them while watching you video. 🤪 I will make about 20 of them for craft show. So far found time for me and made 3 more. Only 14 more to go. I decided to use double side adhesive tape to hold sticky pad in place and added ribbon on each side to tie it together. On the the inside flap, opposite of where sticky pad is, I put plain card stock to hide one end of ribbon. Thanks for this super quick easy project. My friend saw them and I had her make one and she loved it. Have a great weekend.
Maymay, Walgreens also sells mini pens, although I don't know if they are gel pens or not. For a busdriver gift, I would put a thin magnet under the Post-it pad, so the holder would stick to the dash of the bus.
You preach Girl on pricing! And I hate to say this, but the people that don't charge for their labor cheapen the prices for the folks that are trying to earn a living at their craft. I think your formula is spot on, MayMay. And in the case of someone trying to run a business, they need to add a bit for overhead. You have to pay mortgage and lights.
A helpful tip I learned with cutting sticky adhesives of any type, have your scissors Wet. To handle sticky adhesive with your fingers, have your fingers wet. It does NOT ruin the adhesive.
Maymay, I have to look at every pretty page too. I think it's a girl thing, bc we r being thoughtful of the person we r making something for. Love u, love, k
Great tutorial! Many uses for this! Maymay I was wondering if you have a tutorial on a double slider card? If so, pls let us know and if not, pls consider making one! Blessings!
Millicent Owen, thank you so much for your idea. I have been looking for a blunt object to use for creasing paper and cardstock. I have been using the handle of a small, hair dye applicator brush, but it is a bit too thick. The knitting needle point should be perfect for scoring cardstock or paper. Thank you, again for the great idea.
Someone asked about adding a calendar - I do it all the time when I make these. Also, you need to include your state sales tax in your cost per unit. Plus if you paid shipping for the pens or whatever, you need to take that into consideration. I did a rough estimate and it costs me $2.63 to make one Post-It Note holder. Hope this helps someone else.
I know it's been a while since this video streamed, but I just discovered it. I have been looking for a project like this that holds a pen so this is perfect. However, when I made some of these, they did not seem to stay closed. I found that a bit annoying because if you stick it in your purse, it can just open up and some of your stickies get bent of fall off. Have you had that experience? If so, can you recommend a way to make these with a closure that isn't too hard to do?? I would so appreciate that. I have committed to making about 50 of these for a craft fair and I am starting to regret that without the closure. Would love your suggestions??
Hi, we have it on order and will try our best to get it back in stock soon. Please add your email address to the "sold out, notify me " section and we will send you an email alert when it comes back in the store. Thanks, Tamatha Social Media CSR
That would be a fabulous idea. We also have a video on how to make easels, here is that link: ruclips.net/video/pt61J_25pVk/видео.html Thanks, Tamatha Social Media CSR
Just a heads up....depending on the thickness of your post-it note pad (which will ultimately determine the size of your pen holder), the G2 pens may not fit in the pen holder because of the rubber grips on the ends. I ran into this problem while making some of these holders. Ink Joy makes some mini ball point pens (I found them at Staples and Office Depot), but they are a variety pack of different colors. AliExpress also offers some options. Wish I knew where those mini UniBall pens came from!
I don't get it......what was the purpose of picking the pretty tree paper if your just gonna cover it up with a strip of polka dot paper. Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? I'm just curious.
I often see this when watching others make cards. But, everyone does their own thing in crafting. You & I would do it differently and we're all correct! 😊
C.J., the video was longer than just the crafting time, because Maymay was answering viewer questions. So many of us crafters appreciate the time that RUclipsrs take to help us get the most benefits out of their tutorials by taking time to answer questions or explain how the crafts can be altered to suit our particular needs.

You can also put material on top of the cardstock will make it more sturdy. Love it thank you .

Love these....the last 3 years these have been my best stocking stuffers gifts at bazaars....so so easy to make!!!
These are awesome MayMay. Love it. And great for gifts!

Make as prayer request books, for people to carry and write down when someone asks you to pray for them. Use praying hands on the front.
Love this idea Stocking Stuffers this year!
I was so excited to find this with Christmas coming! Hurray and thank you!!
I made 100 of these 3 years ago for take home favors for a Ladies Event at our church.
Cute, I agree about labor. Our time is valuable. I used to use a plastic knife with the smooth edge, but I have a scoring tool now.
We crafters love to improvise. I've even tried scoring with a knitting needle and an old ball point pen which had no ink left
Wow, love them thanks very much great little gifts. from way down under in New Zealand

Love Helen Georgia! We go every year for Thanksgiving. The lights are up the whole place is done for Christmas. Very pretty.
So cute! I think it would be cute to stamp the post its with a matching theme just for some extra cuteness!
This is adorable. Thanks for sharing.
Great gift, thank you for sharing May May and Vinnie. Lexie from Australia
I would have loved that trail ride!!
Love the video! Feel like I’m hanging out with friends! God bless you!
I bought my pens at Staples. Love these post it holders and send them as a Xmas card. Figure that they are at least handy.
You were in my neck of the woods lol. Glad you had a good time
You have the sweetest videos! Just to cute .. Love it .. I think a little book like this would be perfect for "A Christmas Wish List" ..
I made these with out the pen holder:) they are great gift ideas:)

Now I know what to do do with my strips!!!! thanks you!
Thank you so much May May, love this!
I have a sign on my craft table
“Of course, you can make it! BUT will you???”
for grandchildren to keep them busy
I want to try making this using covered cereal boxes to make them sturdier.
coopie624 I’m going to try using some used FedEx envelopes.
That is so dang cute! I love your videos.

Awesomeness
You could add a magnet to the back, too.
Maybe I could FIND my post-it-notes if I put them in something as colorful as that!!!
Love the video !
You could also use a knitting needle to score

Can you do a video on how to price items for sale? If you do, will you please include your formulas that you use?
I use to be told cost of supplies times 3 often works. I have some crafts that worked well but others I needed to adjust up or down...
Maybe Goo Gone or the degreaser from Dollar Tree for "the sticky".

Can I do this with 12x12 cardstock .Will the measurements be different.
Hi! What brand glue are you using?? Great project ! Watching from SC.
I am looking for the tiny magnets for my crafts. Where can I find them?

Are you going to make Christmas cards using a pack of paper
Christmas exchange or birthdays at work.
You could laminate them and they would hold up a lot longer👍🏻👍🏻
I have used a crochet hook
Vinnie it's that time of year again please repost you coconut cake yum yum
Bonnie Wilson I watched it about a week ago. Go to his play list and you can find it!
Thanks Michelle I have made the cake many times I thought he might repost it for all of the new people that might have missed it.
Bonnie Wilson Now I understand. That is a great idea. Those new to his channel need to be reminded that he has posted some all time favorites.
Several ladies on RUclips make those. After watching their video tutorials I make them for my craft fair, as they do also.
for nurses or a nursing home
I send a great many cards overseas and postage gets expensive have you ever used origami paper for decorating the base card
Will you be getting any more Merry and Bright paper pads before Christmas?
Hi, we have it on order and will try our best to get it back in stock soon. Please add your email address to the "sold out, notify me " section and we will send you an email alert when it comes back in the store. Thanks, Tamatha Social Media CSR
For place cards, can you make it where it stands up like an easel?
That would be a fabulous idea. We also have a video on how to make easels, here is that link: ruclips.net/video/pt61J_25pVk/видео.html

Instead of pen, use a tootsie roll!!

Sorry....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much talking. 41:58 for a 5 minute craft :c
