I’m in my 70’s & had pb & baby sweet pickle sandwiches as a child. Here a hot hamburger is a hamburger on slice of bread another on top with mashed potatoes or French fries as a side with all covered in gravy. It’s often on menus along with hot beef or hot turkey sandwiches.
My husband’s pawpaw was a man of habit. He lived near Maplesville. He ALWAYS waited on us to arrive from SC so we could take him to Clanton on Christmas Eve. He wanted to go to Walmart every year. I think the old Walmart was in the shopping center where MayMay’s is located. Am I right about that? Those shopping trips with PawPaw are precious memories.
I’m watching 9/4/24. I’ve probably watched this before but enjoying it. It was only 87 today. First day not in the upper 90s or higher this year. Lovin it.
Such simple cards. I have 85 cards cards made already but it would be good to have a few in a basket by the door for sudden guests. ( please explain the rubber band box) hello from Sandi in BC Canada. Hot hamburger sandwiches are Standard in Canadian restaurants.
O what a beautiful 😍 puppy! Wouldn't Vinnie & Bean have so much fun together @ the lake on a boat?! 😊 also loved the xmas cards ❤️ 😍 thanks so much for sharing & have a great week 🥰💖😊🌺
Oh, yes on the Triscuit with cheese! I have never eaten this but my daughters ate peanut butter and mayonaise (thanks Daddy). Yes, to the peanut butter and honey!!
Listening to top chat about hamburgers, here in Australia our hamburgers come straight of the hot plate with , 1 burger, tomato, lettuce, cheese, egg, onion and sometimes depending which shop you buy it also comes with beetroot and pineapple they are huge
Growing up in Central Pennsylvania, my parents had a garden, and my gram would can everything. She would have sweet pickles, and we would eat peanut butter and sweet pickle sandwiches. I love them.
Not started the actual creating, but have done the planning and made all my lists for cards and gifts. My goal is to have all the shopping done and gifts wrapped and tagged and cards made and addressed, all by Thanksgiving. I used to accomplish that before my husband passed away 5 years ago. This is the first year I’m even slightly anticipating the holidays (progress😊).
Great card design! And I have eaten Skippy peanut butter with Del Monte Sweet pickle relish sandwiches since I was a kid and I am 66 now and my 83 year old sister has also
Bean is too cute. She reminds me of my uncle's hunting dog when I was growing up. Our do is a Queensland red heelers and it took my dad about 6 months before he warmed up to her but since then she's his Velcro dog. She loves going for rides in the gator with my dog.
I love your challenge! And I love the idea of offering a prayer for the recipient as you make the card. That’s the kind of stuff we need to make time for….
I don’t like jelly only because it doesn’t spread well. I usually have preserves or Jam (grape or strawberry) or honey with my peanut butter. I was raised in Michigan.
The tip about using the pencil eraser to move the stamps is monumental!!! Thank for sharing all your creativity and those wonderful tips that come from that! I so appreciate everything you do!
I have about 20 cards made so far. I make 56 for the people that live in my apartment building and then I make and mail about 30 to friends and relatives. And most of the cards are one of a kind. I try to make them for the person that I'm sending it to. I start around July.
Your hot biscuits look like our scones. However, we generally have clotted cream and strawberry jam (jelly) with them for afternoon tea. What you guys call cookies, we call biscuits and we really like to dunk them in tea and coffee. However again, we now have lots of cookies here too that have filtered over here from you guys.🇬🇧
I mass-produce my cards and store them in shoeboxes and then grab them as I need them, and I also keep them in accordion folders sorted in the shoeboxes in the accordion folders by
We had a 9 pound male mini rat terrier and an 85 pound female boxer mix. When we would take them somewhere people always thought the perky little male was female and the big plodding female was a male.
I have a friend from Colorado they don’t eat chili without cinnamon rolls. I had never heard of that before. I bet it would be delicious with a traditional chili. I normally make a Tex-Mex chili.
I am watching the replay and immediately noticed how good the lighting looks! It is sooo much better...growing pain adjustments take time! Looks great!
Hi, Maymay and Vinnie. In Great Britain it's a "petrol kiosk". I agree with Vinnie. Jif peanut butter, but I get the "no added sugar" kind which is more like peanut butter used to be. I don't care for peanut butter and jelly. I never have. I would rather have peanut butter and honey with crumbled cornbread mixed in. I also like peanut butter and honey with semisweet chocolate chips mixed in it. English scones (scons) are a slightly sweetened "quick bread", where our biscuits are considered to be a "savory" bread.
Wow! These cards look GREAT! I struggle - STRUGGLE - with “clean and simple”. And I know it’s a huge problem. The quest for the perfect card, which includes having all of the things. I think I’m down to 2 cards now. I don’t miss the days of 50+, but sometimes I do. BUT I still “need” everything (that I’ll never use) to make them. I need like a Christmas card penpal group or something 😊
First time seeing your video - loved it!! Thank you for the fun conversation - it was relaxing! Greetings from South Louisiana where I grew up eating Peanut butter and Stein’s Pure Cane Syrup! 😊
Fall is proof that change is beautiful! I could decorate for fall all year. The colors just soothe my soul. I accept your challenge and will start working on Christmas cards. Thank you for always being such an inspiration and a shinning light 🥰
What a great idea, this card is definitely me, if I stop and fuss on one card, it takes way to long. This is the answer, so pretty, and neat looking. Ty Maymay. Get well Shannon. You were missed. I just love Bean, what a pup.
I’ve lived in the South my whole life and have my own experiences with “hotter than the Devil’s lap” weather. BUT I cannot even BEGIN to wrap my head around temps like that without humidity. I *literally* cannot picture? imagine? it in my head… I saw a pic of a *MeLtEd* taillight in Arizona!! It looked like some “Stranger Things only in the Upside Down” type junk!! Stay cool! Stay safe! And? winter? IS? coming?………….right?
I live in Gilbert, AZ and yesterday I was doing some unpacking and I was SO hot and sweating like when I lived in FL. This was unusual so I checked the weather app and the humidity was at 60%!! I know that for you all in the south that is like nothing, but here in the desert that is unbearable!
I’ve started my Christmas cards but only done a few. I’m inspired to get going now! We’re still in winter in Australia so we’re looking forward to some sun! 🇦🇺💕🎄🦘
Peanut butter and Nutella, yum!
Definitely! ❤
What takes everyone 1 hour, takes me 2 days.
I love cheese toast with dill pickles on it for breakfast, marshmallow fluff and peanut butter is a fluff- n - nutter sandwich
my husband grew up in PA and ate peanut butter with mayo! I can't bring myself to try it!
Peanut butter and bacon!!!! Yum!
I grew up eating saltines with any “ jelly”! Yummy

I want to thank you so much for taking the time to teach me the tricks of the trade! I'm learning so much from you! So Thank you again!!!!!
My Christmas cards have been done since June just 50 of them

Hot hamburger sandwiches are Standard in Canadian restaurants.
Jif Natural is the only PB I use😊
I agree that IS the only way to cut a sandwich. Crust doesn’t bother me, I could go with or without.
missed the live today catching it late, but my brother use to eat just syrup sandwiches. King syrup
Pretty!! I agree with your sandwich cutting style AND your snack choices!!!
University of Michigan colors. Really like the card
Bean is adorable! Such a beautiful girl

I had to add a comment I'm watching a replay....my family loves peanut butter with radishes dipped in...so good
Vinnie, I agree that a cold winter is best because you can layer your clothes. But when it’s hot, there is only so much we can take off!
My husband HATES peanut butter, but I love crunchy Jiff. I grew up on SKIPPY.
I found that American scones are nothing like Scottish scones. I ate 3 Scottish scones at one sitting because they were so heavenly!
Great card design! And I have eaten Skippy peanut butter with Del Monte Sweet pickle relish sandwiches since I was a kid and I am 66 now and my 83 year old sister has also
Simple is better.

I send out 100 cards every year all hand made. I make them in February for the next December when I go to stamp camp.
Love the prayers Thank you
My husband was from West Virginia and he loved peanut butter and bread and butter pickles and mayonnaise sandwich
Love the cards! Our elementary school always served honey and peanut butter sandwiches with vegetable beef soup. So yummy!
On the west coast you can get a hamburger with all the toppings plus peanut butter and jelly. It’s really pretty good! I love the cards.
I didn’t think they needed anything but the dots were cute.
Great idea. My mind is trying to figure out HOW to do this WITHOUT that door gadget you use.
I love your challenge! And I love the idea of offering a prayer for the recipient as you make the card. That’s the kind of stuff we need to make time for….
they call them open faced burgers up north.
It’s so fun to watch you and Vince and I really love to listen you are very creative I wish I was a little more like that
I don’t like jelly only because it doesn’t spread well. I usually have preserves or Jam (grape or strawberry) or honey with my peanut butter. I was raised in Michigan.
This is mind blowing. Love it

Beanie is beautiful!!!

Giant economy sized peanut butter when we were kids. I still have the jars.
I have about 20 cards made so far. I make 56 for the people that live in my apartment building and then I make and mail about 30 to friends and relatives. And most of the cards are one of a kind. I try to make them for the person that I'm sending it to. I start around July.

Bean ween is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I love the cards. What a great way to use pretty paper. This works for so many different cards.
I send more Halloween than Christmas cards. I make them for me and all of my daughter’s cards too.
I love these cards. Small enamel dots in gold or coordinating color would look good. So easy and fast.
