Sorry for the late reply. Glad you liked it! I've made so many of these, I've lost count! They are great for little gifts, but I make them for myself too!

Well, we are almost like neighbors! We live right on the line between Chesapeake & VA Beach….literally the road into our neighborhood is the dividing line. Also travel past FarmVille quite often on 460 on our way to Blacksburg. If you are ever in VB and want to do some crafting while you visit, let me know!

I love this style of note holder because you can add a closure to it. I find the others might get bent in a person's purse otherwise. However, I wondered it this could be made to hold a mini gel pen at the top perhaps? I would really like to use this pattern and add a gel pen as well. I have seen people cut on the score line and push out the cut piece for the pen. But would that change the measurements??

Sorry, I didn't reply sooner, I've been in and out of town. Yes, you could add a small mini pen (I've seen them at Dollar Tree). And yes it would change the measurements. The cardstock would be an either 1" inch longer, but you'd add that where it folds, two 1/2" sections (or maybe only 1/2" longer) I can see it in my head, but I'd have to make one to make sure! The pen holder part would be across the top. You've got me curious now, so I'm going to have to make one! I'll let you know how much extra to add after I make it!
