Have You Ever Seen a Kaiser Frazer? 🤔

Yes I have seen a Kaiser Frazer but I was more used to seeing a Kaiser Henry J. A guy I once worked with had a Henry J hot rod.

I have seen Kaisers and I have also seen Frazers. The Frazers are way different than the Kaisers though and Kaiser made the Henry J which was sold through the Kaiser Frazer dealerships, BUT it was also rebadged and sold through SEARS as the Sears Allstate. K/F used Continental engines and were well built and reliable cars but they could not afford to come out with a V8 so they were a bit underpowered so sales plummeted and they quit building cars but years later they bought Jeep and built Jeeps from 1963 until 1969 or 1970.

No such car as a Kaiser-Frazer. You can always tell the novices because they call them "Kaiser-Frazers" The company was Kaiser-Frazer but the cars were two different marques: The Kaiser, which is what this is, and the Frazer which was an upscale model. And it's "Fray-zer" not "Fray-zhur" Scottish name, not french.

Beautiful survivor car and you did it the justice it deserved. Hope the owner feels the same way and the car gets out on the road regularly. Thanks for sharing.

Bud, I have never even seen a Kaiser in person, but Henry J. Kaiser was a hero of war-time production. He not only had a big hand in building the Hoover Dam, but he also built some of the most amazing war-winning ships (aka the Liberty Ships, as well as the Casablanca Class escort carriers of WWII, along with some PT Boats that helped us win WWII, with the help of Higgins and Elco of course). Henry J Kaiser was an amazingly talented man and he helped industrialize the US with the help of Henry Ford's methods of the assembly line. We (with the help of our Allied powers of course) outproduced all other nations and we collectively brought the Axis powers to their knees and forced them into an unconditional surrender. I would suggest looking into the history of the manufacturers of you historical vehicles before you attempt to work on them. Please know that I am not trying to be negative or badmouth you all in ANY way, but you should ALWAYS know the history of any of these historic vehicles before you detail them because they're not always just another car.

Just a moment on the name
The owner doesn't know the name of his car. It's a kaiser. Possibly a kaiser Manhatten or kaiser dragon. The company or corporation was called kaiser Frazer and they did make a car called the Frazer but this isn't a frazer

It is NOT a Kaizer Frazier. It is a Kaiser. Frazier is a sister brand, slightly more expensive, as I recall. My uncle sold them.

I think it is just a Kaiser, not a Kaiser Frazier. The company was Kaiser/Freazier but Frazier was its own car, and I think the Frazier name was gone by the time this car came out. It's a basic model. They had some really nice colors and interiors, especially the Dragon model.

all you have to do is use ZEP ALUM on the chrome spray it on, rinse it off, and it cleans it in 5 minutes, stay away from the stainless though

It's a shame that clear coat didn't come around till the mid 70's ('73 I believe), that would've looked GREAT with clear on it.

  • @Kyfordman1989

There is no way anything made in the last 15 years will last that long cars back then were made of steel not plastic and single stage paint is so much better than clearcoat

I was very aware of automobiles in the 1950s and this was one of the most disrespected of all. No person with any self-awareness would be seen in one. Actual people drove Chevrolets, Mercurys, Buicks, etc., never one of these piles of junk.
