    Thanks so much for the always helpful videos! So given Google's guideline of not overdoing FAQs, do you advise against using the FAQ scheme on all articles on the site, even if they are not similar questions and answers? Thanks again!

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  6 месяцев назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      As per recent Google’s guidelines, only reputable government and health websites will display FAQ-rich results: developers.google.com/search/blog/2023/08/howto-faq-changes#overview-of-the-changes
      This rich result will no longer be displayed frequently for all other websites. However, you can still use FAQ and Schema on relevant pages, as it offers a better user experience and answers the users' questions directly.
      Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

      Rank Math is not fully compatible with Avada in that respect. Please contact Avada support and share the following document for how to enable compatibility with Rank Math: rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/
      Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:

    This is great info!! I am curious if there's a way to use this (or a similar) process for Elementor toggle widget. The accordian widget always drops the first answer down on the page and that's not always desirable. So what about the process for creating FAQ schema for toggles that are already created in Elementor? Thanks!!

    Hello, Jack.
    Your videos are great and very helpful.
    Thank you for your detailed explanation of FAQ schema markup.
    When watching how to set the FAQ schema markup for the Accordion element in Elementor, I noticed that there is a "FAQ Schema" switch above the "Add FAQ Schema Markup" switch.
    I initially turned on both of these, and then Rich Snippet Testing reported an error "FAQ Schema Duplication"
    After I turned off the "Add FAQ Schema Markup" switch, Rich Snippet Testing became normal.
    I would like to ask, do these two switches have the same function? We just need to keep any of them open, right?

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  4 месяца назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      The Duplicate Field “FAQPage” error indicates the presence of multiple FAQ Schema in your content. As per Google guidelines, a post or page should have a maximum of one FAQ Schema. Fortunately, you can quickly resolve this error by deleting the duplicate FAQ Schema.
      As you already guessed, both these options perform the same function, while one is added by the Elementor and the other by Rank Math. We suggest you to disable the FAQ option by Elementor and enable Rank Math's FAQ option here, as we nest the FAQ Schema with other Schema types added to the page.
      You can also refer to this dedicated tutorial here: rankmath.com/kb/fix-duplicate-field-faqpage-error/#disable-elementor-faq-schema
      Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Another great video, thanks so much! Two quick questions:
    1. Is there a way to add a list to one of the questions in the FAQ schema? I know you can number them all in the block options. But if one of the answers is a list, can you do that?
    2. Does it make sense to add FAQ's in different parts of a page, or does Google not understand/like that? So if part of my post is good for FAQ schema, but also an important part of my post, does it make sense to add it as FAQ schema higher up in the post?
    Thanks for everything you do!

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  Год назад

      Hello, Thank you for your comment.
      1. Rank Math FAQ Block settings do have the option to select the List style, either unordered or numbered. Here is a screenshot for reference: i.rankmath.com/fLZVyV
      If you referring to adding the formatting, such as bullet listing for the answers, at the moment, our FAQ block doesn’t accept listed elements, and this will cause invalid block content.
      Do note that bullet points and numbered formatting using (ordered list) and (unordered list) will be stripped from the Google results. Google will also remove any breaks within the answer text and format the text as one paragraph.
      2. It's generally fine to add FAQ schema in different parts of a page, as long as the questions and answers are relevant to the content on that particular section of the page. In fact, including FAQ schema in different parts of a page can help provide more information to users and help search engines better understand the content on your page. However, be sure to avoid duplicating questions and answers across different parts of your page, as this can be seen as spammy and may negatively impact your SEO.
      Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi there I just tried adding the FAQ schema but when adding the answer it stripped ALL text styling such as bold, italics, bullet points and links. Is this a limitation when using the FAQ schema or am I doing something wrong?

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  2 месяца назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      When adding answers to the FAQ Schema Block by Rank Math, the text styling options are limited, and the formatting might not be retained as expected. This is a common behavior due to the structured nature of the FAQ Schema.
      If you require specific text styling within your FAQ answers, you might consider adding them directly to your page and style it as you prefer. Then add the FAQ Schema through Schema Generator (available in Rank Math PRO). Here is a detailed tutorial - rankmath.com/blog/faq-schema/#faq-classic-editor

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      The FAQ Schema option is available in the Classic Editor of Rank Math. To access it, you need to navigate to the Rank Math SEO metabox and click on "Schema" and then "Schema Generator".
      From there, you can select the FAQ Schema and add questions and answers. Once you've added them, you can save the Schema for that post. After that, you can use the FAQ Schema by clicking on the Edit icon of the FAQ Schema in the Rank Math metabox.
      You can copy the shortcode from the Schema Builder and paste it into the post editor. The questions and answers in the FAQ Schema will then display on your site.

    How can I do this within Elementor? Elementor has an FAQ widget that allows us to easily put FAQ questions for visitors. So would be great if I can do this within Elementor. If it is not available at the moment, then how else can I do it for that page?

    For using FAQ schema in classic editor, do we also need to paste in the short code into the article or can we just save the schema?

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  Год назад

      Hello, Thank you for your comment.
      In the Classic Editor, you would need to paste the shortcode for the FAQs to be added in the front end.
      Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

      @@RankMath So we have to add the questions and answers as normal text in the post and then paste those into the FAQ Schema, as well as paste the short code into the bottom of the post? Do we need to do both or can we just put the Q&A directly into the FAQ schema?

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  Год назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      You can either add your FAQs as normal text or paste the shortcode. Adding both will result in your FAQ questions appearing twice on your front end.
      Hope this helps!

      Thank you.

      @@RankMath But pasting as normal text will not give us FAQ schema right? Google only gives us the benefit of FAQ schema if we actually use it and paste in the short code into the editor right?

      Hello,
      What you can do is add your FAQ using the schema generator and add the normal text in the editor without adding the shortcode.
      If you still need assistance in adding the FAQ Schema correctly, please open a support ticket here rankmath.com/support and share the link to the page where you’ve added it, so our support team can verify.

      Hello, thank you for your comment,
      While there isn't any limit on the number of FAQs you can have on your FAQ Schema, Google would only display two FAQ rich results at any given time for a page on the SERP.

    Do FAQs boost seo? If so how much of an impact does it have

    • @RankMath
      @RankMath  10 месяцев назад

      Hello, thank you for your comment.
      We wanted to let you know about recent changes by Google regarding FAQs and HowTo content in search results: developers.google.com/search/blog/2023/08/howto-faq-changes . If you've noticed your FAQs and HowTo guides aren't showing up as before, here's what's going on:
      FAQs Display
      Google will now show FAQs mainly for well-known government and health websites. If your site isn't in these categories, your FAQs might not appear.
      HowTo Display
      HowTo content is now visible only on desktop, but it's important to keep the code for mobile too. This way, Google can see it because Google uses the mobile version of a website as the primary source for indexing. Google says you don't have to remove your FAQ Schema right away, but you might want to review it if it's still relevant for your site.
      If you need more help or have questions, feel free to reach out. We're here to assist you through these changes.

    Does anybody else feel like 18.5 minutes isn't a "Quick Way"? I see the words "fast" and "quick" and "easy" used all the time on videos that are 10 minutes or longer. Maybe it's just me and other people feel that a really long video = quick.
