Was hopping you do it at some point, as I now have an SMC 5 like you, since watching your recommendation a few months back.
Might post some pics/video of my simple homemade cnc to share in this hobby to help manufacture my own things to a certain precision and repeatable quality/speed..
What I think is important relative to any CNC controller: Can it handle lookahead costant velocity contouring?
Thanks for all the info on this controller! Can you slave two y-axis steppers with this setup? I read that you cannot on the DDCS controller.

Yes you can
Hey Roger. I got everything you did in the video set up for the probe function and ready to try out. You didn’t show what you did on the panel to perform the probe function. I found the Probe function in the Coordinates menu, but nothing happens when I press OK (I have the function enabled with a 1 in the INPUT menu as you show). Also, I noticed that when I activate the probe input (9), the RESET indicator flashes. Not sure if that is normal as your video already has the RESET flashing before you show the input being triggered.

@@pablogarciamartinez4708 No I didn't. I am in the process of rebuilding my CNC router. I am waiting for the weather to warm back up so I can start on the wiring of it.

Thanks for this video Roger. I discovered it while searching for something else. I am trying to find if you ever mentioned what aluminum you use to build your machines. I am thinking of using 6061 extruded. Can you verify if that is what I should use. Thanks again Roger.
