I have this for 10 years now, I have changed diet, I eat extremely HEALTHY, exercised, injections, treatments, NOTHING helps. People don't understand unless your going through it really, I pray for everyone who suffers from this terrible disease and they can find a cure.
Try selenium, vitamin E, mithionine ! I also have it it’s been about 10 years now it’s a simple nutritional deficiency of these three things when these three things are present in the blood stream the pain subsides along with strict diet no gluten no fried foods watch your sugar and I avoid meat and dairy ! I hope this helps
@@dawnhertz4116 have you ever heard of TF's? It's a molecule that got me off of all pharma and now I have no pain, tons of energy and I sleep 8 hours a night!
Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you tried - Roanayla Aries Apocarpous (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering natural health remedies minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got cool success with it.
I'm a 65 year old female. Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when i was 32. No meds helped and definately every diet I tried did not help. Last Sept 16th I started the CARNIVORE diet through Dr. Ken Berry. I am now pain free from my fibro. Ulcerative colitis and Diverticulitus totally under control, blood pressure normal, arthritis pain level very low. Absolutely no meds. I can't remember the last time I felt this good. Love it.
@@lesliebeacom4567 if you type into RUclips for Dr. Ken Berry his Carnivore PHD(Proper Human Diet) will come up. You can watch some of his videos and also down in the description of any of his latest videos you can download the whole diet. I'm so happy I found this way of eating. Also down 27lbs. Best of luck to you. You got this❤
ve been playing with FM since 1988... It's a little bit different for everybody you have to tweaket to your needs... And I would get references to giveto my Doctor because most of them don't know much if anything about it in any detail...I am not totally vegan (dairy) but whatever I do it's glutin free... I've been studying that aspect since the 90s and there is merit.
Yes, Carnivore is the best! It cured all my gut issues, from fatty liver to diverticulitis to acid reflux. all gone but not so much my fibromyalgia. Susan would you share how long it took to get rid of your pain. I've been eating carnivore for 4 months. In the first 40 days cured all my gut issues.
Thanks for doing this research and sharing it! My PhD is biochemistry. IThe cause of Fibromyalgia is really, finally beginning to be understood! When I was diagnosed with Fibro in December 2019, I did my own research on PubMed, the only papers I found was the last one you discussed. The one with the single patient who ate only that short list of foods. I also read the companion paper in which the same author outlines the biochemical data explaining how Fructose, Lactose and other sugars could be inhibiting Tryptophan absorption. I followed the diet in that last paper,, eliminating fructose, lactose, galactose and in 5 weeks I was no longer taking any pain medication. I was only really eating egg fried rice (no onions or other fuctose containing veggies) every day! I mean, I live alone, have a demanding job and I could barely walk! After 3 months of this, I was noticeably less fatigued. Fatigue is still a big problem for me, even though I have remained on the strict, no fructose, diet for 13 months. Fatigue seems to be related to my feeling stressed out (like, because I feel out of control due to irrational demands at work, etc.) and fatigue follows exercise, like the day after a 30 minute walk, I will have a hard time with brain fog. I realized pretty quickly that the diet in that last paper and the FODMAP diet (for IBS) are the same thing. They are both cutting out Fructose, Lactose, Galactose and other sugars... No beans, lentils, garlic, onions, wheat, oats, barley). I also need to eat a lot of protein: if I eat french fries for dinner and maybe just starch for breakfast, I will feel a lot of pain that day or the next. I try to each 20-30 grams of protein 3-4 times a day, which is the best way to keep your blood sugar level anyway. Keeping my blood sugar regular also keeps me from getting too stressed out. Going 1/2 day without eating makes me stressed out. (I never tried eating less, maybe this "Hypocaloric diet" would help my fibro, but I can't take the stress! :) I started taking 5HTP, 50-100 mg/day and that has helped keep the pain away, even when I don't eat enough proteins. Other supplements I take are VitB complex, VitD, Magnesium Glycinate. I personally think low Serotonic could explain all of fibromyalgia. The fatigue I feel after stress could be because with low serotonin I experience stress too extremely. If I am n a better mood, it is harder to stress me out, for example. BUt if the stress overcomes my good mood, it goes too far and the heightened adrenal response could be causing other reactions that cause fatigue. I meditate, do yoga, binge TV, read, walk, talk to friends, and keep a twice-daily journal to finally, for once in my life, learn how not to get stressed out. I remain hopeful that once I manage to de-stress very very well, that I will be able to get back to normal level of fatigue... Normal for me was playing ultimate frisbee, biking and jogging 2x a week. I did always need a lot of sleep afterward, and I could never hangout after a game, I needed to sleep. Sorry to talk so much, but I have been a living biochemistry experiment for the past 13 months!! tl;dr Follow the FODMAP diet and learn to de-stress!
Learning not to stress out is making more of a difference than I expected. Being "type A" is fine, but criticizing myself all the time is the problem. I haven't been able to get to talk to a psychologist, my insurance plan keeps sending me to social workers who say Wow, you seem great. But there is a lot of negative thinking going on that I was living with.
I'm a veteran of fibro in my mid 60's. I feel better on a keto diet and intermittent fasting, but what has helped the most was walking my dogs every morning for 50 minutes. I am still stiff and sore later in the day but my outlook has become very positive and I'm beginning to lose weight! Don't eat out-cook real food at home so you can control the ingredients and stay far away from ultra processed foods! Good luck everyone! Great episode thank you!
I have fibromyalgia and I have been vegan for over 8 years and it has helped my fibromyalgia pain more than any myriad things I have tried! I still have symptoms, but I was pretty much bed bound for years before this.
I’d been dairy free for years prior to fibro diagnosis, so can’t speak about that helping or not. But going gluten does help a bit with pain reduction. I always feel much worse for a few days if I consume even the smallest amount of gluten. I am going to start a low fructose diet to see how that helps, I read that case study too. I don’t eat meat, only fish. I was vegan for years but started eating seafood when I began recovery for anorexia. I’m just starting to test my body for egg reaction. My body seems to react to so many foods, always had done. I did follow a raw vegan diet for 8 months and felt no difference with pain but loads of energy. Yoga also helps, something I need to start doing daily again as my mood and fibromyalgia symptoms are the worst they’ve been in years since stopping a few months ago. That being said, my mood is a huge catalyst for fibro. The worse my mood is the worse my fibro, and the worse my fibromyalgia is, the worse my mood. I have complex PTSD and anxiety disorder. I’m also now in recovery for the anorexia. Oddly, my pain levels were not as bad when in the throes of the eating disorder. At 5 stone I had less pain and more energy than I do now at 9 stone. But the adrenaline was probably responsible for the energy. Every since I started recovery and eating more than 1000 calories a day my energy levels are lower than ever. You’d think the added calories would mean more energy but nope! But I don’t know why my pain is as bad as it is now other than stress/mental health issues and lack of yoga. I’m about to start trauma therapy in March so maybe that will have a positive effect on fibro. But the other stressors are impossible to get away from. And the biggest relief I’ve ever had from the pain has been heat. Staying in Spain for a few days a couple of summers ago I barely took any pain medication. Within hours of being back in the UK my pain was back and it was early September at the time so not even that cold here. I practically hibernate from October to April as my fibro is without doubt at its worst in the cold. Anyway , wishing every other warrior the best. Never give up hope ❤️🩹
All thanks to Dr Obinyan on RUclips,he has restored happiness to my aunt life,my aunt recommended treatment from him,to her greatest surprised,it work perfectly 💯💯🌿💚💚.
I find UK weather causes me problems with my symptoms. Though I find it's the dry heat in Spain thst helps. Here in the UK we have high humidity in the summer and for me that can be just as problematic for my pain.
There was a study done in Spain which showed that a gluten-free diet reduced pain in fibromyalgia, before starting on the gluten free diet it was shown via gastroscopy that none were siliac . I had very severe pain symptoms and went on a very strict gluten free diet for 6 months and had significant improvement. Going back eating gluten did bring the pain back, but not to as bad a degree. If it gets bad, I go gluten free for a week and it settles down a bit….
Gluten free has no Glyphosate in it ! This is the problem Glyphosate ! It’s not what you think it’s microscopic chemicals in your food supply. Wheat grains breads nuts seeds, wear gloves getting vegetables, and wash. Don’t eat processed foods !
I’m the same. I just find gluten free so difficult to maintain & when I start to feel better I think it was all in my head & I start eating gluten containing foods again & end up soooo ill. I think I’m fully aware of the connection now & I definitely need to make more of an effort. Good luck everyone & best wishes. ❤️
Getting off of processed grocery store food and eating organic, natural, gluten free, along with adding healthy fats like virgin coconut oil and virgin olive oil has brought much healing!
Your "healing" diet is poison for me. Your inclusion of coconut products and olive oil would make me sick. Coconut and olives are both bad for anyone with sensitivity to salicylates. On the other hand, going gluten free would eliminate one food that I am NOT sensitive to. There are no one size fits all diets.
Lol, organic is a scam. Overpriced nonsense with zero evidence it is better whatsoever. Olive is a good fat, but so are animal fats. What isn't good, is seed and vegetable oils. Absolutely horrible stuff now linked to numerous health issues, right down to Alzheimer's. They oxidize in the body and brain. They are chemically unstable oils=double bonded=rancid. Single bonded fats don't let oxygen in like double bonded do=hence more stable.
@@MrBilld75 The world is full of scams. Most brands of olive oil are adulterated with other oils these days. However, that doesn't mean pesticides are good for you. The goal is to make the label fit the contents.
@@robinlillian9471 Yes, great point a very large amount of Olive oil nowadays is adulterated with other inferior oils. There are lists of good and bad ones however, all over the net, so at least that gives people an idea of the good and bad brands. And I completely agree, more transparency is needed on labels. I want to know how it's made, even if they put the info. in a QR code or something, just give me background info. I am all for informed choices. If people knew what was allowed on organic crops, they would be shocked. Some of the newer synthetics are far better than the old toxic stuff that's completely allowed by the EU and USDA on organic crops. France stopped producing organic wines because of what they do to their great soil. And who could blame them?! Some of the best grapes and wine in the world. They have a legacy and big wine businesses to protect.
Thank you for this info. My life changed to deal with my own fibromyalgia management because I reached the tip of the iceberg. I have had undiagnosed fibromyalgia from childhood. Not one doctor I spoke to ever suggested that I had fibromyalgia and since a chance diagnosis six years ago has one doctor understood or even acknowledged the condition. After the rheumatologist diagnosis I was given a list of symptoms by her, no suggestions or help except the minimal info on this piece of paper. After a year and one follow up she waved goodbye without any comments or suggestions. In the meantime my doctor had prescribed pregabelin and another doctor opioids! My doctor advised me to give up my very stressful job and referred me to a specialist pain clinic. In the meantime my holistic wellness instinct along with research lead me to take my health into my own hands and adopt a wellness programme which I follow every day. Four years ago I became a vegetarian, a year later a vegan, I eat mostly low FODMAP, low gluten, dark chocolate and not much wine i started intermittent fasting and lost 10kg in six months, everyday I practice mindfulness, meditation, therapeutic activities such as qigong tai chi, hydrotherapy, yoga, Pilates, walking, weights all of these are daily and I rotate and change what I do for variety. I find therapeutic distractions helpful because the brain can’t focus on more than one thing at a time so even taking up a hobby or activity is helpful. The mind and body are connected if one aspect is dysfunctional then it affects the other and creates a vicious cycle. Aiming for balance is a struggle and all of these distractions do not cure or prevent my ongoing symptoms. My leptin levels are elevated, I also have Hashimoto thyroid disease alongside peripheral neuropathy, chronic fatigue, insomnia and chronic pain. It is often said that nobody understands what your situation is unless they also suffer with it but we are all different and we all experience pain in different ways it’s an individual experience. Fibromyalgia is a disease it isn’t a syndrome it is important to recognise that blood tests are only a snap shot of a health problem so testing for adrenal problems, cortisol etc may not reveal anything at that time. None of my blood tests ever come back with anything wrong except elevated cholesterol which has been lowered with my vegan diet and fasting. I requested a blood test for leptin as my metabolism is very very slow due to being hypothyroid. All I can say is that I have made several improvements with management of my diet and my wellness habits. I take each day as it comes and everyday and night I do more of the same.
Thank you for your concern and the effort you put into this video. I am wondering why you didn't cover Keto? Unfortunately I have food allergies - egg whites, fatty fish, acidic foods; so some of these diets are not compatible. The KETO diet worked for reducing pain. It also caused me to lose weight which may be why the pain reduced. However, the fatigue is horrific and I live in a constant state of melancholy with bouts of depression. As someone else commented, Fibro is complicated and there is no one "fit all" way of tackling it. Exercise is not always possible, depending on the pain, though on good days I can take long walks. Fibro is also affected by the weather.
Well, you are not the only one, Keto/low carb. has helped my wife's Fibro. and helped my pre Diabetes. Here's something interesting that another Dr. on RUclips covered, I believe it was Ken Berry who's a Keto Dr. Insulin resistance seems to be a trigger for Fibro and what is Keto lower in? Carbs/sugar. So there's a connection there, certainly.

If you have ME/CFS as well as Fibromyalgia, exercise is a no no unless it's yoga, simple stretches etc. PEM is result of overdoing it and Pacing is key!
Yes, pacing & not overdoing it is SO important with ME/CFS. I'd caution against doing yoga though, after my experience dealing with spiritual warfare (yoga has it's roots in the spiritual, even if many just view it as an exercise or relaxation activity). Stretching &/or gentle pilates can be helpful both for de-stressing & prevention of deconditioning, according to one's energy envelope.
Acupuncture - yoga- eating a clean diet - drinking a lot of water seems to help me a little - 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I pray for anyone suffering from this I can handle everything but the insomnia and ibs - keeps me in my house a lot. Lucky thing ima home body
I take 125 mg x 3 times a day a total of 375 mg of Pregabalin a day. It really helps with my nerve pain but I need it to be raised which dr don't really want to do. It wasn't my primary dr who diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. It was my rheumatologist who diagnosed me. My rheumatologist says my Pregabalin should be higher for all the pain I'm in. Do you take Pregabalin
Wrong. The American medical association has it wrong. Fibromyalgia is not musculoskeletal. It is neurological and has to do with how the brain processes everything thru central nervous system. If it were musculoskeletal, we’d be seeing orthopedic doctors, not rheumatologists. Technically we should be seeing neurologists, but the USA is all about money, not health.
Exactly. A healthy diet can help people feel better, but when is the last time we heard anyone telling people with MS or Parkinson's they should go gluten free or whatever? Diet isn't going to fix a neuro disorder.
I’ve not even watched the video yet. I come to the comments for some fellow sufferers tips 🤔 but I won’t bother watching it now if they are calling it a musculoskeletal disease. What a disappointment! Defo got some great tips from the comments though. Thanks everyone & best wishes on your journey ❤️
You should watch it though. They called it a SYNDROME of unknown origin, meaning we are speaking of the level of symptoms to investigate individual treatment options

Thank you for those have been diagnosed with it due to my breast implant illness. I'm hoping and praying to God that once these toxic bags are out of me I will no longer have this disease.
Anxiety, depression come from the limitation FM causes. Sleep disturbance is caused by chronic pain, weakened immune system that can lead to early arthritis symptoms. Pain can prevent me from falling asleep or wake me up because lying on any one side increases pain to an intolorable level. Well, I also have PTSD which can bring about disturbing nightmares. Diet is definitely important. Though it must be true that my having type O positive blood type means I need more protein to maintain my white blood cell production. Tried veg diet I became too anemic. Adding smoothies, helped with digestion which is vital in controlling IBS and weight control. Yeah, tried probiotics didn't help. Only diet works.
I have to disagree with the gluten-free diet. As much as I wish I could say the opposite. I miss it!!! I had ibs for 18 yrs before getting fibromyalgia and CFS. (That was my only health issue.) Nothing has helped, but going gluten-free. My ibs is gone, no more rashes. If I accidently eat gluten my neck tenses up so bad. My nerves/muscles start burning, headaches. I did however have one test finally come back positive for the gluten allergy after years of negative tests. I had asked to have the test retaken 2-3 months later, because I hadn't eaten any gluten before the test they said it wouldn't matter , but I pushed and they reordered the test. I did eat a lot of gluten before the next test on purpose only 8-12 wks later and it came back off the charts. I never would of had known otherwise.
I agree with you! Wheat, oats, and barley are full of fructose, actually. So going gluten free probably did help you a lot! The reason it may not be helping everybody is that the other people might be eating more fructose/tryptophan blocking sugars in other kinds of food. Like, garlic, onions, beans, and milk. So, someone who is eating a bunch of gluten-free pizza is still getting a lot of fructose, while someone eating gluten-free fish and chips is not getting any fructose.
55 years of fibromyalgia and I have found that it is in completely avoiding plants from the Nightshade family, specifically potatoes, eggplant, peppers, and tomatoes, that I find significant relief. These plants contain a compound called solanine, which is intensified when the food is fried. In late October I was again trying to see how much solanine I could eat before the Pain became unbearable, so I had been lightly sprinkling my food with just a little cayenne pepper over the last four days. Well, in my overconfidence I got just a little bit too close to Solanine when I added a couple of tbls of Green Chilli Sauce to the fifth meal. I was in bed for the next 36 hrs. My whole body was on fire. I will not do that again!
yes! it seems that fibro patients are highly sensitive to natural plant toxins. I now do not consume any of them, just eat meat and fat to manage my symptoms.
I have fibromyalgia CFS with IBS and I’m hypothyroid Fibromyalgia it’s not a one size fits all disease what I’ve found is these diet changes sound good but some of the foods I can’t eat because of IBS or can’t eat because of my hypothyroidism or because of my fibromyalgia it makes me dizzy trying to find balance
Interesting to see all the comments of different people saying what works. Gluten free, carb free, organic, supplements, pescatarian, plant based, keto, dairy free... which only gies to show it depends on the individual. A healthy diet will help us feel better however I do not believe there is a diet that fixes FM. After 26 yrs of trying it all, I think I would have discovered it by now.
Let‘s say the reason is inflammation. Then it can be diet, or a misalignment of the spine, or a bacterium/virus/parasite that causes stress on the body. Fybromialgia seems to be a consequence of something else. Gluten made a big difference for me, as does gentle exercise. But there is something else going on, as you said, individual to me.
Ive had more success with 1-2 teaspoons Nutritional Yeast flakes (Thiamine B1 ) in hot water before bed than any meds $5 @ Walmart in the baking section Day one less inflammation & pain Tension in my muscles was noticeably less it’s only been a couple weeks so I hope it continues to improve 🙏💜

How are you doing now? I have found that magnesium is key for me. It helps with the muscle pain and tension, and it's key to controlling the annoying tics and twitching and sometimes prolonged, rolling muscle spasms that can be seen through my clothes. I normally use the CALM powder, but I'm out and can't afford it rn (a lot of helpful things aren't covered by insurance), but I've seen a number of suggestions for clove tea, which does help some and it tastes good.
I read your comment and for the past few weeks I’ve eaten a tablespoon of Nutritional Yeast a day and the horrible pain in body has lessened so much I can now get through the night without waking up in awful pain. At night it’s mainly my legs that kill me but it’s at least 80% better now. Thank you so much!! 🙏🏽😊
This was a very enlightening video. However, I think a final summary of examples of foods to eat would be helpful, rather than just trying to follow what each study said. The data was a little overwhelming. Thanks!
I’m celiac so I’m strictly gluten free, it doesn’t seem to help with my fibromyalgia pain. The Fodmap diet sounds good, as does the Mediterranean diet. 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you, I do find this video helpful.
The first elimination to be discussed on any video made on Fibromyalgia is sugar. That is the #1 culprit and everything else after that. So to even consider sugar in a diet for FM is incorrect. The second elimination is categorizing this disease as a psychological problem. The usual go-to for those who have no clue about or how to treat this disease is to suggest anti-depressants. This disease affects many in different ways and is dependent on the degree of the disease; some have mild conditions whereas others have severe. The FODMAP diet was designed for IBD. FM also causes chemical sensitivities so foods such as avocados, bananas etc are the same as ingesting latex.

@@rochwilliams4626 Roch, you may be allergic to latex. Avocados, bananas, papaya, buckwheat, chickpeas...there are a whole bunch of foods, particularly with nuts and fruit that are 'latex' allergy foods. For FM, tomatoes, potatoes, even smoke paprika, peppers, etc.. Interestingly, there seems to a similarity with foods that are latex and foods that trigger FM.
Fibromyalgia is not caused by inflammation. Low serotonin is really at the heart of it. Scientists and MD's have only really started to realize this in the past 2 - 3 years. Metabolism and nutrition aren't exactly as well understood as it should be!
I tried all these sorts of diet manipulation for 5 yrs., and didn't find relief until I found Dr. Weston Price's work (preserved by the Price Foundation). I finally narrowed it down to salicylates and histamines in food, which I believe is due to my diagnosed mercury toxicity blocking the production of enzymes to break down these chemicals. All I can do is manage my symptoms by managing my diet, and it really sucks. Everyone's going to have to figure out their own unique diet for themselves, just don't overlook heavy metal toxicity.
I’ve been battling this for more than 10 years, I’ve now put myself on a vegan diet for the last two, but not a consistent one if I have to be honest. My question would be which foods to avoid being on a vegan whole plant-based diet? You didn’t say legumes, and I was wondering about wheat and soy, also potatoes, peppers, eggplant, any of the night shades that they talk about those ones that we should be eating or should we stay far away from them? It’s so confusing because you can get on the Internet and it will tell you so many different things that contradictive thing that you just read before

9:20 can we really say that the Mediterranean diet improved the symptoms of anxiety and depression? and not the the 60 mg of tryptophan that it was “enriched” with besides this, I think your videos need to be one of the first that pop up when researching fibromyalgia, much more informative & all-encompassing than most
For the insomniacs ♥️ I went from an 3-5/10 to a 7-9/10 with Amino acids, taken early in the evening direct from the capsule. My nutrition expert said melatonin plus l tryptophan plus gaba would help. And it did. Try and find your dose. Much love.

@@davidschick4729 There can be so many things going on in your gut. Any kind of stress wether it's physical or psychological can cause dysbiosis and that takes some time to correct. I would start with getting a comprehensive stool analysis so you won't have to be guessing.
I am so confused by all the contradictions in "expert" advice for diet. Some swear by keto, plant, carnivore, or Mediterranean. With all the pesticides in grains, grass, meat you spend a fortune buying " clean" meats and organic foods. Plus all the suppliments recommended.
A gold mine of information, thank you! One thing, though - isn't the report of one person at the end basically meaningless? I'm not a researcher but it doesn't seem helpful to mention what happened to one person one time, at least compared to the studies with sample sizes much larger than one that you mentioned.
I've been dealing with fibromyalgia all my life and now I'm a vegetarian I'm trying to work towards becoming a vegan that's kind of hard thing because I like my milk in my coffee I'll admit it and being from Wisconsin I like my cheese but one thing that is really helped me is Indica because the Indica seems to control my pain and helps me to be able to move and function and allows me to keep functioning and improves my mood and improves my appetite because of all the pain that I'm in I typically forget to eat I forget to do certain things that I shouldn't be forgetting and ever since I stopped eating meat I stopped having gut issues so now I avoid all meat fish and poultry and anything that possibly could have touched it because lying on the bathroom floor in excruciating pain not being able to go is not anything I wish on anybody. And I also don't drink any sodas or drinks that contain carbonation and have changed my perception of what I am capable of and what I'm not capable of because we have to admit where we can't do something or not capable of it because if we don't then we're putting others at risk also we also cannot use it as a crutch to get out of things we don't want to do for whatever the reason because being totally honest with yourself and the ones around you is the correct way to be when dealing with any illness or mental problem you're dealing with. PS my love and prayers go out to all those who have to suffer through something because even though we didn't get to have a choice and say yeah give me some of that cuz I really want it. like anyone ever would LOL, because I haven't met anybody who says yeah I like having this that or the other thing whatever it may be because it's fun give me some of that yah right, because the truth is nobody wants to have to deal with anything but we're dealt the hand we're dealt and we have to do the best we can with what we have to deal with so stay positive stay active and never give up on your dreams your goals and your perceptions of what you'd like to achieve in life

It is so hard... I have Fibromyalgia and I am a vegetarian, but I know when I eat more meat that I have less pain. But I can't eat it... Somethimes I eat it, but not that much, I should eat it a little more. Exercise is really hard too, but I manage to ride a horse once a week and to take care of my own ponies every day. But I can't work or do anything else. Thank you for this video!
Meat is inflammatory so it's bad for those of us with fibromyalgia, well everyone actually since our digestive tracts aren't designed to digest meat and it ends up rotting in our bodies. Humans have long digestive tracts as opposed to carnivores who have short tracts which digest the meat quickly so it's not rotting.
Please don’t let anyone convince you that there isn’t a cure for fibro, fibro is being cured in the hospital where I work at. I’ve seen about 7 patients get cured so if you’ve been suffering from chronic pain and fibromyalgia, there is a cure. Contact me if you need help.
@@stivemichel8021 I question if they truly had FM if you "cured it". It can be regulated, to some extent but cure a chronic disease? That is like saying we have insulin so diabetes is cured. No, it has been regulated or misdiagnosed. Do you cure MS? No but sometimes, depending on severity it can be regulated or better maintained. Because FM is autoimmune also it affect people in different ways, in part due to culture, activity, circumstance, so how debilitating it can become depends on many different factors. But cure FM? Not possible.
I need to eat some meat or I become severely anemic. I tried vitamins to supplement but it made my IBS worse. Once I added some meat back into my diet I haven't had any issues with low white blood cell count. Read that if you have type O positive blood you need that extra protein in your diet. For me at least that had proven to be true.

Your introduction to this subject suggests, to the average person who knows little about this subject, fibromyalgia is psychosomatic, which is generally perceived as 'all in your head'. Not only is this misleading, but it will certainly influence listening to the rest of your video. Fibromyalgia pain is how the brain and skeleton process pain, not how the brain perceives pain. In other words, it is not a psychological interpretation of pain as your video seems to suggest. Your definition was used 20 years ago when not much was known about this condition. You should also have provided a caution about supplementing tryptophan. It should be addressed through food, not an oral supplement.

The vata and kapha dosha is the main culprit in this disorder. In Ayurveda, there are numerous herbs present in nature that will deal with stiffness, fatigue, pain, mental disturbance, & loss of movement related to Fibromyalgia patients. I think it has something to do with serotonin and VitD. I noticed whenever i have holiday in my own country nice and sunny I dont feel anything at all Im perfect. But everytime i go back to this cold country i became bad again
What about the other symptoms? Sensory sensitivities, cognitive issues, allergies. Not everyone gets all the symptoms. I don't get IBS. And as for depression and anxiety, you'd be depressed if you were in pain every day. I found through talking to others on a Fibro FB page, many many ppl have experienced childhood trauma. Usually child abuse. That would explain the any issues with depression and anxiety, both of which can be managed or eliminated with the help of CBT. I've been on pain management courses held at hospitals hospitals twice and in my opinion medics never fully understood this disability. Best thing is ask those of us who have it. Also, how do you measure the serotonin levels in the brain? I didn't think that was possible.

Exactly! I want to puke every time I see another crazy and super restrictive diet or “way of eating“ being pushed on the Internet by people who claim to have “reversed” or “healed“ their fill in the name of the disorder/illness.
@@vinalandsford6966 The FODMAP diet covers everything basically. The FODMAP diet is low fructose, and low all the other sugars that block Tryptophan absorption. It is restrictive, but a lot of people are on it, and it is very similar to gluten free, since wheat has lots of fructose. I've been on the elimination phase of FODMAP diet since Dec 2019. I got better in 8 weeks, a lot better! I'm never going back to fructose!
There's a lot of foods I already avoid because I have no gall bladder, making it harder to process fats. I notice high salt products and gluten give me major brain fog. I've gone without pasta and bread products for over a month now, and I'm shocked that my pain has actually gone down. I know the next major difference for me will be lowering or removing coffee and chocolate - I'm getting there. Day to day, I eat lean protein, raw veggies, sometimes fruit, almonds, and salads. It's important to change things slowly or it just becomes overwhelming.
I disagree with the gluten free diet. I got sick in 2010. Diagnosed 2011. I have traumatic fibro. I got sick overnight due to my meds being messed up and it shocked my nervous system. I had other reasons for the pain, I thought. It manifested in me as an overall weakness. Unable to walk without assistance and tremors. After 3 years of this I bumped into a nutritionist who told me gluten causes inflammation. It would be good to go off it for many diseases with chronic pain or inflammation. Lupis, rheumatoid arthritis etc. Also no processed foods and no dairy. I balked at the no dairy but went gluten free, no processed foods, and only fresh or frozen produce. Organic when I can. After a couple months my constant tremors disappeared, I had more energy and I was sleeping more than a couple hours at a time. The only dairy I eat is cheese and whatever is in like pasta. I drink and use only almond milk. I know it works because when I go off diet and have regular pizza or a burger I have a flare up by the next day. my diet has been a godsend. I think more study should be done on it. I recommend it to anyone who has an autoimmune disease or chronic pain or even an injury.

I started taking 5HTP, 50-100 mg/day and that has helped keep the pain away, even when I don't eat enough proteins.
Thanks for sharing. You seem very resilient.
Thanks for your post Melanie. It was helpful and relatable information.
Thank you
Thank you Melanie for your post. How are you feeling lately? Are you still on the FODMAP diet? Please reply when you get a chance. Thanks so much!!💜🙏
I'm a veteran of fibro in my mid 60's.
I feel better on a keto diet and intermittent fasting, but what has helped the most was walking my dogs every morning for 50 minutes.

I have fibromyalgia and I have been vegan for over 8 years and it has helped my fibromyalgia pain more than any myriad things I have tried! I still have symptoms, but I was pretty much bed bound for years before this.
I understand exercise is important, but with widespread pain exercise is hard to do
Try swimming, that's the only thing I can do with supportable pain
@Avianca G Exactly it makes it so much harder if you ar already in so much pain
True
It’s hard, but you just have to push through the first couple of weeks (which is hell, I know) and then it’s like a little miracle.
@@gypsy7152 Hello. I seen your post. Have exercise work for you
I’d been dairy free for years prior to fibro diagnosis, so can’t speak about that helping or not.
I changed from real eggs to Just eggs plant base in the small yellow bottle. made a huge difference. Stay strong warrior 🌺

I find UK weather causes me problems with my symptoms. Though I find it's the dry heat in Spain thst helps. Here in the UK we have high humidity in the summer and for me that can be just as problematic for my pain.
update?
There was a study done in Spain which showed that a gluten-free diet reduced pain in fibromyalgia, before starting on the gluten free diet it was shown via gastroscopy that none were siliac . I had very severe pain symptoms and went on a very strict gluten free diet for 6 months and had significant improvement. Going back eating gluten did bring the pain back, but not to as bad a degree. If it gets bad, I go gluten free for a week and it settles down a bit….
Your gluten free diet would remove one of the few foods I can safely eat. Take your fake study and shove it.
Very interesting. I do know I hate eating bread generally, maybe my mind knows something my conscious hasn’t figured out!
So true pressure changes like migraine
Well, you are not the only one, Keto/low carb. has helped my wife's Fibro. and helped my pre Diabetes. Here's something interesting that another Dr. on RUclips covered, I believe it was Ken Berry who's a Keto Dr. Insulin resistance seems to be a trigger for Fibro and what is Keto lower in? Carbs/sugar. So there's a connection there, certainly.
Your fatigue could be the lack of good carohydrtes which give you energy and is omitted on a keto diet.

All thanks to Dr Obinyan on RUclips,he has restored happiness to my aunt life,my aunt recommended treatment from him,to her greatest surprised,it work perfectly 💯💯🌿💚💚.
As someone who went through severe abuse & violence as a child I can say for sure that trauma & stress cause physical inflammation.
I agree.I'm sure emotional stress caused and causes mine.
Yes as is mine pain is horrendous every day nothing helps xx
Look up the Triple Warmer Smoothie Exercise. It has been helping me.
I also have Long Covid and have trouble exercising.
They need to stop saying you don’t get inflammation, YES you can, I have had Fibromyalgia for over 20 years.
Yes. I developed because I have PsA and it got worse. There is an immune component in FMS just as in ME/CFS.
I have fibromyalgia and have alot of inflammation because of it
I take 125 mg x 3 times a day a total of 375 mg of Pregabalin a day.
Your so right!!
Exactly. A healthy diet can help people feel better, but when is the last time we heard anyone telling people with MS or Parkinson's they should go gluten free or whatever? Diet isn't going to fix a neuro disorder.
@@catsmeow374 agreed. While omega 3s are important for brain and nerve health, it’s not a cure. We all still die someday. Doctors…

Pescatarian diet is what I do. I’m surprised at the study talking about aspartame. If I chew gum with aspartame (which is most gum) I will have pain in 20 minutes.
Thank you for collecting and presenting this information in a condensed summary. Very helpful and very much appreciated.

I've been in hideous pain from a 7 month flare.... It's been hellish! I've changed my diet so many times I've felt little benefits! I do try to stay away from breads and grains but I still hurt! I'm trying to get back to exercise , doing nothing is making my body lock up even WORSE! And I am still working, a housekeeper and need to keep working!
This worked in 2 days!!!!!!! (I suffered 7 hellish years.) Magnesium L Threonate (must be that specific magnesium), Benfotiamine (type of B1), Vitamin B6 and Vitamin D3. No Rx needed...all supplements. It helped my sister in law too. Pain levels went from an 8 out of 10 to a level 2 out of 10.
How did you know to start taking those supplements? Did you go to a holistic doctor?
What doses?
It all depends in every person you canot say what works for one may not work for another one; it's very hard!
Yea in recent studies some many severe forms of fibro there is inflammation and minor rheumatoid arthritis... some get to the point of disability.

Everyone is different in their path of dealing with various types of chronic pain. It never goes away. The medicine is for maintenance to help live a better quality of life.
I hve fibromyglia for quite some years now. Pain goes all over the body each day & really no medication really works except taking a less stressful life & work, light exercise & staying happy. Had anti depression drugs as prescribed by the doctor bt it only makes me sleepy n drowsy, wakes up wth a headache too as a result of the drug. Hve since lived wth this problem, managing pain each day & keep myself occupied wth hsework, cooking & not harping on the pain all the time. It helps. Yes, a lot of people wont undrst fibromyglia unless they hve it i guess. Then they wld know the pain & how frustating it can be. Even family members mght not undrstd you & thk you are jst being lazy wanting to sleep or nor do the slightest thing each day. I would like to say, be strong yself for those who hve fibromylgia.
Do you feel the pain at your upper back too and your arm?

Thank you for those have been diagnosed with it due to my breast implant illness. I'm hoping and praying to God that once these toxic bags are out of me I will no longer have this disease.
You work and research are appreciated!
Only diet works.
i am also type O+, I am now strict carnivore, meat and fat only
This....explains ALOT. Im so grateful to you. Thank you
I have to disagree with the gluten-free diet.
Same with me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. 💖
I’ve had Fibromyalgia since I was 19 I’m now 58 and still have it, tried everything, pacing helps but sleep is disturbed every night, fed up with it
55 years of fibromyalgia and I have found that it is in completely avoiding plants from the Nightshade family, specifically potatoes, eggplant, peppers, and tomatoes, that I find significant relief.
I have fibromyalgia CFS with IBS and I’m hypothyroid
Fibromyalgia it’s not a one size fits all disease what I’ve found is these diet changes sound good but some of the foods I can’t eat because of IBS or can’t eat because of my hypothyroidism or because of my fibromyalgia it makes me dizzy trying to find balance

Thanks!

True...I can't eat avocado and bananas. Also if you have pain dont eat the seed of tomatoes

It is central nervious system mainly which is inside our head literally and peripheral

You have to make the foot massage reflexology legal to be able to pay with health insurance.
I'm so grateful I found a molecule that reversed all symptoms and I am now pharma free!

Vata balance tablet is a rejuvenating blend of herbs is specially formulated to balance Vata doshas without aggravating Pitta or Kapha doshas. It may be used to support overall health and well-being by Vata constitutions with or without food. For those with a dual constitution that includes Vata or a tridoshic constitution, it is an excellent formula for the Vata season, which in most parts of the world is autumn and early winter.

In other words u are what u eat. Really stephanie told me about foodmap cause i couldnt eat well. But i have no thyroid i survived cancer, im disabled too complicated.
am very tired of it lately thinking of truly just lay down and never get up seems to be the only thought of relief to just give up
i live alone so its hard even with my crafts to be able to cope with anything i just want to sleep i have a cpap machine but i gave up on it since i tried different masks and still air comes out somehow
Im feeling this way also. I have 2 small kids and a 10 month old baby. BUT I've realised the strength it takes me to push an 18 hour day,is immensely HUGE. And that I can do this. Noone understands how horrid we feel. But I do,sending lots of love your way!!!!!! ☀💙
