  • When the hard drive on macOS is experiencing problems, you will experience some very alarming events. Such as not being able to save any files/data, can't delete, even in bad conditions. We cannot access disk partitions.
When we try to fix it with a disk utility, sometimes it doesn't solve the problem, and show you repaire failed message.
If you are experiencing something like this, there's no harm in trying to fix it manually using the fsck_hfs command via the terminal app. Follow the video above to finish.
    🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️
Alternative command, if you still failed with above way:
    fsck_hfs -rc -d /dev/diskXsX
change diskXsX to your related partition.
and use in recovery mode, or you can try in single user mode.
    🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️🛡️

I want to reinstall high sierra. Went to internet recovery mode and formatted the internal hard drive to apfs (as suggested by apple website) but high sierra could not be installed and i got the error "recovery server cannot be contacted" the reason being it does not like apfs format. I used the disk utility again to format the hard drive to extended journaled but the operation failed and the hard drive ever since is in an unmounted state. Is there a way to mount it again and format it to extended journaled from the terminal in internet recovery mode?

My last message get from this method and the fsck_hfs -rc -d /dev/diskXsX tell me that the harddish could not be verified completely. Is the same when I run the normal disk utility. And when repair...it also not successful. Is there way I still can still recover files from this harddisk? I cant even safe boot my system now.

Don`t ask please how I changed from the APM to MBR, because I can`t tell you, unfortunately. But I was wondering Can I clone the HDD without using the MBR or first partition and clone it back to a drive that has the APM without data loss, nothing important on the drive though, but still I wanna experiment with it?

kalau macos nya terpasang paragon ntfs for mac, bs direpair lewat situ.

  • @nyancat008

Mine is not working, it said it’s not a volume header.
My issue starting from SMART issue. So I backuped all my files and think of to erase and reinstall the macOS, then it became worse LOL cried.
    Issue I encountered:
    1. When reinstall macOS Sierra > recovery server is damaged. > tried changed date using terminal not working.
    2. My disk utility > Macintosh HD gone.
    3. Flashing ? Folder
    4. Tried CMD+OPT+R, it shown new interface and with Big Sur macOS installer, but the wireless Bluetooth mouse is not working, with USB.
    Helpppp

    • @GuruJi99
      @GuruJi99  3 года назад

this could happen because the hard drive may have been damaged. then the system takes a long time to detect your hard drive, thus interfering with the load service process for usb and others.

i really dont understand what you meant when you explained the sudo code. so after i restart my mac, do i go back to terminal and type that sudo code and then i actually go to disk utility to repair it? really hoping for a reply, thanks.

eh oalah ini masnya orang indo ya? pantes logatnya kaya tau. ini maksudnya yang kode sudo ini gimana ya mas, apakah abis direstart macnya saya langsung ke terminal lagi buat masukin kodenya lalu baru saya repair disk saya di disk utility? sama maksudnya recovery mode itu gimana ya? terima kasih.

Ya intinya, sudo selalu dipake ketika mau nerapin command diatas dlm mode login normal.
Tp kalo booting ke recovery mode, sudo gak perlu dipake, langsung ketik command diatas tanpa *sudo*
      Semoga bs difahami.

@@muljadisuganda3688 asumsinya, jika jenis partisi harddisk nya untuk sistem mac (hfs dst), bisa pakai command diatas pak.
