Iruka dying in the war arc would basically be like hannes dying in AOT. It means a lot for the mc but not much for the viewer as they probably just go "noooooo" and thats it.
Part 1 being better it's not a hot take at all. It's definitely more consistent. That said Shippuden is my personal favourite because most of my favourite moments come from Shippuden.

tobirama grew fighting uchihas, lost brothers to them and was terrorized most of his life by one. Its easy to conclude he got some trauma from that. Also uchihas do have a curse, even they aknowledge it and its part of the reason itachi and shisui were so desperate to stop them. But Tobirama He gave the uchiha the police force as a sign of trust, and put them at the heart of the village. Hiruzen was the one to relocate them to the outskirts after kurama attacked.
Honestly, the Iruka one would work if it implies Neji should die in the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. It’d just be weird to see him shield Naruto with his body a second time.

Sasuke after the killing of itachi was stupid.. the biggest mistake they made was killing off neji because he couldve really had a big impact in Boruto.. Naruto has the greatest character development of any Mc I’ve seen in anime.. zabuza arc is the hardest to rewatch in all of Naruto and honestly if you took out that arc not much changes in the story of Naruto…
Boruto is definitely rightly hated. The show has none of the passion or spirit of the og naruto and is clearly just another cash grab ‘protagonist has a child let’s make another series’ type of deal and it doesn’t hold a candle to og Naruto. The biggest mistake they made was allowing every to have absorption and allowing characters to basically shoot jutsu out their palm with no signs. When you’re fighting with the other main character in your own anime for who has the better character development it’s hard to say that Naruto has the best in alllll of anime but that’s a respectable opinion. Zabuza Arc was definitely crucial to the story and Naruto because it’s where he had his first real battle and seen what it meant to be shinobi and arguably the start of him forming his ninja way, if it wasn’t important he wouldn’t have visited their grave when he was older so for sure things would change. I am not afraid to admit that OG Naruto is better, that's a fact. I still prefer to Shippuden over OG more because my favorite characters are Shippuden, my favorite villains are in Shippuden, and some of the emotional moments that affected me more than those in OG Naruto are in Shippuden. But that's just my personal preference.

I actually agree we probably shouldn't have known Naruto's parents or they're regular people. You can't have "he's just a runt!" The 4th Great Ninja War takes the Naruto from being a very good or even potentially great series, down to being aggressively mid or below average. Remember that the war arc is a third of the series, almost as long as the entirety of part 1. Naruto is a boring protagonist with nothing going for him in the story at this point, or at least Kishimoto doesn't do anything with him, he's just along for the ride narratively... Madara's owes his entire reputation in the community to Obito taking all the heat for the Project Tsuki-no-Me being a stupid f*ckin plan from the beginning. Madara carried the Arc simply by being entertaining and not because he was an interesting Villain. Less said about Kaguya retcons the better.

I actually agree we probably shouldn't have known Naruto's parents or they're regular people. You can't have "he's just a runt!" So he's this child of prophecy and talent, so he was hated why? Because Konoha fucking sucks or is it just the 3rd Hokage's fault himself?
Further proving the Neji line about destiny, he was born to the Uzumaki clan as well. So he's born with a naturally higher chakra level and has the power of Kuruma to draw from as designed by the seal he was given. He was always fated to be the most powerful Shinobi. The only problem was the writer didn't have proper foresight? Like he didn't get training let's say until he's 12 or so and finally gets enrolled to the academy? Hot take itachi is overrated not just the terms of power scaling but how he was written. I love him but that retcon that he was a double agent and helping the leaf village is the biggest bullshit. Like if you were a double agent why didn’t you tell the leaf village “hey madara back” or give them literally any info on the Akatsuki. Another retcon him loving Sasuke, when he meets sasuke part 1 he puts the ultimate genjustu on his little brother and sensei kakashi, who needed Tsunade the best medical ninja for them to get out that tsukynomi coma and tells little brother to kill your best friend who’s Naruto the 9 tails jinchuriki if that was a good guy then I’m just delusional.

The 4th Great Ninja War takes the Naruto from being a very good or even potentially great series, down to being aggressively mid or below average.
Remember that the war arc is a third of the series, almost as long as the entirety of part 1.
Naruto is a boring protagonist with nothing going for him in the story at this point, or at least Kishimoto doesn't do anything with him, he's just along for the ride narratively...
Madara's owes his entire reputation in the community to Obito taking all the heat for the Project Tsuki-no-Me being a stupid f*ckin plan from the beginning. Madara carried the Arc simply by being entertaining and not because he was an interesting Villain.
