    This is absolutely a game changer! I have been using a Huion Inspiroy H640P with a Dell Inspiron 7000 Gaming Laptop.
    I've been looking for a budget friendly display tablet, as I used to draw with Procreate on my Ipad before my ipad screen broke.
    But genuinely, thank you for this review, this is very exciting, and I can't wait to get my hands on this!

    People,...we have GOT to get John's subscription numbers up! There is NO reason he shouldn't have closer to 500K in numbers! He is talented, knowledgeable, patient, direct, honest and entertaining! I mean,...that is RARE these days! He doesn't fart around with BS opinions based on trends and hearsay but rather tells it like it is based on fact and his personal experience; all without sounding condescending. It's just refreshing. This is a cat you could hang out with on the weekends and know that you could be yourself and just shoot the shi#! ALSO rare these days!
    But seriously,...lets help spread the word about this channel. It deserves more attention!

      100%! I can't understand why John doesn't have 100k subs. He is easily the best drawing display reviewer on RUclips.

    I've never heard of VEIKK, but this seems like a solid tablet. That bodes well to have a good device as starting lineup ! Did this come with an AC adaptor or did you actually have to use an old apple charger?

      I actually just plugged both usb into the PC, worked fine.

    I'm assuming I need an HDMI porr on my chromebook, right? I'm SOL if I don't. My daughter wants a drawing tablet but don't have HDMI port. Any idea what I should do?

      You can get adapters but you still need a tablet that can work with Chrome OS. I dont think this one does.

      This one technically works with Chome OS ruclips.net/video/VPbAUF7AZhA/видео.html I just checked the Wacom site and it says its still supported.

    Soooo do I have to connect to a pc with hdmi?

      @CreateNowSleepLater  2 года назад +1

      You do, for video. If you don’t have hdmi, converters work.

    I would say that tough connections are actually a downside. If you accidentally step on a cable and your tablet is on a surface above then it could bring down the whole tablet to the ground and break it instead of simply unplugging.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  3 года назад +1

      True but its prior versions of tablets had issues with cables breaking. That is more likely than pilot error!

      @@CreateNowSleepLater sorry if this is bugging or if the answer is already clear and I missed it but if you don't mind (and ONLY if you don't mind lol), what is your preference between this one and the xp-pen artist pro? I was split between getting this specific tablet and the comparable one for xp-pen. I think you might have reviewed a different size than I was getting but for these two lines, generally specifically... Which do you prefer in whatever size? I ended up getting the XP-Pen Artist 13.3 Pro in the end but I'm still nervous haha 😅.... I'm not looking for anything in depth as I've already watched both vids you did but just curious YOUR specific preference only given these two options 😬😬 (or if anybody else has input I'd really appreciate literally anything 😅)

      @@CreateNowSleepLater yes, so when I go to use the pen and begin to draw to the right the cursor goes left and vise versa. In fact this happens even before I can open any program.

      Set the display as the primary display. Then go through the pen calibration.

  • @ToddDolce

    So basically you use an iPad Pro for all of your art and design work..... meaning,..you just "review" everything else and dump it after you are through. Is this correct?

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  3 года назад

      No, what makes you think that? IPad is a completely different experience. In my iPad review, I called it the best digital sketch pad.

    • @ToddDolce
      @ToddDolce 3 года назад +1

      @@CreateNowSleepLater Well,..unless you have a giant warehouse and you store all of the review models, I imagine that you only use one for your heavy lifting. Seems to be a simple deduction. I know so many people swear by the iPad Pro for art these days and it is the trendy choice of champions so to speak BUT I have resisted for a couple of reasons.
      The first being that Apple is waaaaaaay too proud of their products and the price is way over the top for just a sketchpad when paper works just fine....and second,....as much as I hate to admit it,....(and yes feel free to mock me and laugh) I'm getting older now and at 56, my eyes just don't respond well to those tiny 12" and under devices after a long drawing session. The constant zooming in and out would also play havoc on me after a while. Yeah, yeah yeah,..I know...you young dudes can yuck it up and laugh at the old man but I'm telling you...it DOES make a difference as your eyes begin to age. LOL.
      I DO appreciate your detailed reviews of the other displays (whether you actually use them or not) because you get to the facts of the matter and hit the details that we all as artists ACTUALLY care about. Thanks.

      Thanks for that, also you are not that much older than I am. The only right tool is what is right for you. I’m actually working on an intro to digital art which covers some hybrid workflows. I wear reading glasses and the size of the display doesn’t matter as much as my distance to it. What I usually do is have a rotation. For displays, I had the xp-pen on my arm for awhile. I then went back to my Cintiq after a month and then used the Kamvas studio (which I have not posted yet). Now I’m working on the Huion 24 pro. That will end up in use for weeks before you see a review. On lesser used items, I’ll sell them to buy others if that makes sense. This is the first small unit I’ve had in awhile so I didn’t use anything else that size for awhile. Either way, I’m not sure why you are just looking at 12” displays (budget)? Either way, let me know if I can help.

      @@CreateNowSleepLater I really have been sitting with my finger on the trigger for either an XP Pen Pro 24 or the Cintiq 24 Pro. The iPad ONLY came into the picture when I noticed everyone seemed to be pushing it and touting the amazing Procreate app. I then thought about it and asked myself is Procreate (basically just an app) worth $1400?? Because that's about what an iPad would cost me. My answer was NO! So I have once again refocused on the 22"-24" sized displays. My mind tells me that the Cintiq 24Pro is the one to get since they are the top of the line by reputation and I have the budget to grab one BUT the frugal nature in me struggles with that expense. I think the XP Pen Pro 24 and Huion Kamvas Pro 24 have VERY interesting offerings BUT of course, there is that tactile issue that they both seem to fall short in. The XP Pen gets high praises but its not a laminated screen. It also relies on a screen protector. I need a screen or screen protector that has that paper like texture since that pen to paper experience is VERY important to me(second only to stylus accuracy). Reviews reveal that the XP Pen 24 Pro is great yet the experience falls a bit short with the slicker screen cover that it comes with. Have you ever tried to find a 24" rough textured screen protector??? Forgetabout it!!!
      As for the Huion,...it has the laminated screen where the XP Pen does not but reviewers seem to rate it lower than the XP Pen Pro. So it's a confusing mess!!! If you can help sort those two out I would be forever grateful. Again,...I can spring for the Wacom, but I just want to be certain that their are NO other options that I have not fully researched.

      @@ToddDolce I actually have the Huion. Im shooting that next. The Wacom is going to be the best. The question always is, if the XP-pen or Huion gets you 85% there, is it worth the money. To me it starts with budget. If you are a person who would rather pay and know its the best, Wacom is the choice.
