I pirate clip studio paint because I want to use my software offline! And I already purchased the 3.0 software so there really isn’t no point on making you login ever 2 weeks or so
I used to do that back in the day with Lightwave. I owned it but you had to have a physical dongle attached to the back of your pc so I actually worked on a pirated version between two pc's to save having to constantly take it off and on. I'd be a little nervous about doing that nowadays though. I keep reading about how many viruses are in pirated software these days that it doesn't sound worth the risk.
Can you still access the pen store if it's pirated??
I'm still using version 1. I personally see no good reason to upgrade past that.

so uh, if i buy perpetual, i can use that version of perpetual for life and they wont force me to upgrade or anything right? also when it comes to perpetual, can you use it on multiple devices? i mean since i technically own that version i bought, i should be able to do anything with it right? my biggest concern is that i dont have to pay anything after i purchase the perpetual unless i want to upgrade and i should be able to use it on multiple devices right? cmiiw
No offense but did you even watch the video? Your questions are literally the point of it so I’m not asking to be a jerk. I’m asking because those numbers and slides I made took time if it’s not clear, I’d like to know.
@@CreateNowSleepLater just because i watch the video doesnt mean i fully understand, do you expect your students to understand a hard topic after explaining one time? and also english is not my first language and the usd pricing is tripping me off. if you dont feel like answering, its fine. I mean the least you could do is just reply me a timestamp if you think i didnt watch the video. Making an educational video contains risks of lazy people who dont watch the video and seeks guidance from the person they knew have the knowledge necessary, and there are also kids or old people who dont understand ppt and/or the terms in a particular topic. Anyways if you dont want to answer a yes or no question i can just find people who are willing to. Thanks

@kael1121 I specifically asked, and told you my concern was that the video was t clear. The answer to you questions is yes, you can buy the perpetual version without updates and no, you can no longer use it on more than one device. Also, you are required to log in every couple of weeks even with the perpetual version so I have an issue with it really being perpetual. If they decide at some point to no longer support your version, they can prevent log in but that is my more philosophical disagreement with this license model.
"Perpetual license," these days, means "you will be paying for the license perpetually."
A new phrase/term is needed.

100%. Perpetual with these guys is like we rent it to you as long as you jump through hoops.

@@CreateNowSleepLater Currently, I use Affinity Designer and Blender. Once Affinity "sees the light and starts this same dumb subscription B.S., I'm switching over to paper/pence/scanner.
I totally get it. Its a complex and silly model honestly. Its probably a matter of time before they drop the perpetual model anyway. Krita is pretty good (and its free).

Yeah, no. You can tell when the focus is on greed over listening to their customers.
We would have stopped at greed with just the annual model. A battle pass to rent new features? That is mental.
