@@CLSTRN911 The fins are not awful imo. But the question is, why are their two tailpipes on the front of a 911; that's an ugly design & styling choice.
Fortunately my mate just got allocated one of the last .1's (GTS) as he (we) didn't want the .2. Also I have heard from Porsche that the GT3 .2 will not be available as a manual in Oz, but will still have a pure NA eng.
I really hope that those front fins are not part of the final design at release. Looks like when a 16 year old kid gets his first car and puts a kit on it to try and make it look fast and aggressive but really it is still the same base model POS. This proposed redesign makes me want the 2024 911 T that much more now.
I did…….and absolutely LOVE it !! When I got my long awaited allocation about a year ago, I was given a choice of a C4s or a C2. I decided to option the the C2…….and put Blizzaks on my Macan S. Perfect.
If I do sell my 992.1 T it will most likely be for a .2 GT3 Touring or a GT4RS depending on which allocation comes first. At least I know I won't need to deal with that new front end. The vertical slats look like a Gen 2 Audi R8 (pre-facelift), and not in a good way. And I do not want more complication with hybridization and an all new battery system - it sound like the manuals are going to become even more scarce because there is no compatibility with the hybrid system with today's transmissions.
@@S7860R If the next gen of 911 sells poorly for whatever reason, a 992.1 would be a good investment. Who knows if the next new gen 911 body design or the rumoured new all hybrid platform will be accepted or liked by the market.
I'm an absolute dyed in the wool self-confessed (and obsessed) Porsche fanboy. However, those front fins? I know they have them on the Cayenne and Macan, but they're so beautifully integrated. This design though? Yikes...
By other several sources, 992.2 except turbo series should be equipped 4 liter NA engine WITHOUT electric motor. I don’t know which 4 liter engine of GT4 or GT3 to be used. However I am very interested in new 992 with NA engine in spite of its ugly front design. Maybe it will be the last brand new 911 with genuine ICE we can buy.
Hey thanks for the comment, I'd love to see an NA 911, but I doubt that will happen. Porsche usually carries their engines across generations so the 992.2 engine will be in the first gen 994, so it will have to have some future proofing involved.
The 2025 Porsche 911 will most likely be hybrid only. I doubt you will be able to turn off the hybrid electric motor and run only on ICE but it's a possibility.
Personally, I don't like the "buck teeth" look of the redesigned front end. The current 2023 model is an elegant evolution of this traditional sports car and the revised model is a backward step. The Porsche 911/912 is a classic Porsche sports car and owes its reputation to design, light weight, handling and refinement. To play around with this formula by going to deeply into heavy battery packs risks the very reputation these cars have built up over decades. If you want electric or semi-electric you can buy those, just leave the classic sports car as such.
My god, those front "Fins" are one of the most hideous design choices I could possibly imagine. Congrats on making the 911 one of the ugliest cars on the road if this is truly how it will look. Porsche is heading in the wrong direction.
Makes me appreciate my NA 991.1 C4S even more.
I'm really surprised by the 992.2, those front fins are quite ugly and don't seem to fit with the 911 well
For me it’s way better with vertical fins

Sorry
I’m sticking with my 992
It’s my 5th and last 911
Porsche said the 911 is staying gas into the 2030's and as long as possible, it wont ever be fully elec
they never said "never"
bro this porsche is flat 6 and elctric

well the 992.2 GTS gets an N/A engine with a mild hybrid system

Lost me at “eagerly awaited hybrid” 😂😂
The 918 Spyder is a hybrid and worth $2M
Will spec the base C2, lets go !

As much as I love the 911 I would take the gt4rs over the gt3 touring without hesitation
May I get that thumbnail image :) all the other ones have water marks on them and make poor desktop backgrounds :(
i can't wait
I only care if the hybrid increases sport performance and economic performance.
it will do both but not that much signifcantly
@@7ludi It will also add unneeded weight to a sports car.
I got my allocation in Dec and delivery in March.. Carrera S 2024 .. no other option tbh .. I waited 1 year for allocation and don't want to wait more
Are they going to bring out a gt3rs 992.2?
I would bet YES
@@DuckWhale thanks , do you think getting a 992.1 RS list next year is a bad idea financially . Might be a stupid question lol but worth asking
I'd guess that they make some small updates to the current gt3RS is all. The focus will be on the gt2rs

They allready have hybrid in the Cayen
It makes the Car super heavey.
Bad for Handeling
Hybrid only works for smal cars well.
992.2 Carrera S Cab. in Guards Red is all I need
release date?
2025
That front end with the fins is whack. Ugh. If they're going to use fins, they need to hide it behind mesh or something.
interesting times
977 Last TRUE 911
No such model …
You mean the 997?
How will the 718 range keep a manual when it’s going electric?🤣
Говорят что вместо передач ты будеш выбирать степень рекуперации а сцеплением полностью её отключать

ev 911 eeeeeeeeew
Hybrid, not EV
good thing synthetic fuels are coming and thus making ev's and all other nonsense obsolete.
Coming where? Porsche is planning to sell 80% of all their model as EV by 2030 (basically everything except the 911)
No thanks.
Is gonna be Hybrid and overpriced.
Eagerly awaited by whom? No 911 enthusiast is awaiting an overweight hybrid-electrified 911. 👎
The only people to benefit from a lacklustre new gen 911's are owners of desirable older models; which could appreciate in value.
Reprehensibly awaited...
Very ugly. The fins killed it all, period.
It’s going to be a 💩
