So this video is actually what, 6 months old? The episodes with those cars have already been out for a bit and that means they were in post production for quite awhile.
When will we be able to watch Hammonds workshop in the USA? I really don't understand why you could advertise the show in the USA and tell us to watch it when it's not available to us
I watch loads of auto RUclipsrs and think, "They're great at presenting this stuff." And then I watch Hammond do these. And realise what great really is.
I am so happy that I grew up on the original Top Gear trio and the Grand Tour. They basically turned me into who I am today, what I like and not. I hope one day I will be fortunate enough also to have a 911 because that car has always been my dream since childhood.😌😌😌
Yeah, I know Richard, you will never see this, but on the off chance you do, you actually brought tears to my eyes. I am 57, a Civil Engineer, and I own my own engineering company where I design expensive houses for people and fix their foundations. And people call that work. I don't own a Porsche as much as I want to, but you echo something in me that was very real. Maybe I am glad its just not me, I don't know. But thank you.
Hammonds continues to demonstrate why he is my favourite of the three presenters you feel the emotion through the camera whenever he talks about any car he drives and now life in general. Thank you Drivetribe for this opportunity to continue this
This video warmed my heart, especially when he mentioned being Izzy's guest. You could see what a proud father he is. Watching this was the best part of my evening.
Let's be honest we all here watching this because we saw Richard Hammond's name on the video😊 same goes for the other 2 may and Clarkson we don't care what they say we just love to see them all the time talking about whatever they want ❤
I’m glad you guys are able to keep it going. DriveTribe is our little bit of TG and GT in the future. I’m so happy you and James are still around and staying current on the internet.
Give it time. Someone told me being a kid is wanting a Ferrari, growing up is realizing you need a Porsche and being an adult is knowing you actually want that Ferrari.
I've got to say Hammond, thank you. Thank you for continuing to make videos without the usual jargon you see on RUclips. You speak of the facts, so naturally. And, yes, your handling midlife crisis perfectly in your own way - that's the only way to handle it. Keep going and keep making us all nod and smile.
Loving the latest series of Smallest Cog. Neil is an artist. Bit worried about Mindy though, is she okay? Haven't seen her this series but always enjoyed her contributions and withering looks at Hammond.
Talking bout Izzy, you can hear the proud papa in that voice. His excitement that he is going as her guest. Such a wholesome moment. Richard was always my favorite. I'd love to meet him, if they ever bring Drivetribe show state side.
Im not brave enough to watch the final episode of the Grand Tour yet. Im just happy you and the rest of the trio are still around doing fun things we can enjoy with you. Thank you for the great years
You've seemingly had a seamless transition to RUclips and The Cog. Well done Hammond. I'm always here for your content. Your "talking to the viewer" not at the viewer hosting style has always been shockingly Vlog and personal feeling, even 20 years ago. It's been cool to see that your TG personality was less scripted and seems that it was more talking points and you made it a conversation. I also hope you find another Engineering documentary hosting position. I would still happily click on an old Hammond presents engineering doc. *also props that you've picked up a lot from the cinematographers on camera placements lol or maybe it's the DT team! Very professional either way! Want videos on the race car buy\build your journey! Content is content and we'll watch it all.
Richard, thanks for these reflections. At age 50, I played my first gig in a rock band. I’m running in a h as of marathon in a few weeks. I’m thinking of going back to school in a couple years. Embracing growth at this stage of life feels great.
Well really the best part of GT for me ended when they only did specials. Special are nice but looking back at TG and GT the news and studio stuff was more memorable.
Same I'd rather they end it on a high note on their own terms instead of ending it when one of them dies on set, because if they kept doing it into their 70-80s surely that would have happened eventually.
Seeing Hammond in another Porsche is getting me thinking that there are a lot of us out there who would really love to see a conversation between him and a certain other former Topgear presenter who also loves a Porsche.
I started out watching Top Gear and the Grand Tour for the cars and the banter but these guys actually ended up also inspiring me to travel because of all the specials that they've done. So even though Top Gear and Grand Tour are no more, every time I travel to new and exciting places, I will always think of Hammond, Clarkson and May...
i this is super lovely as we see the same camera shots and action from the boys at the GT but hammond is on it as always and he’s presenting this brilliant clip in classic GT style…perfect!!
I love watching these videos Team Drivetribe. As a 49 year old who just received his 2024 Dark Horse (fully loaded) a month or so ago I can tell you that perspectives change as you move into mid life. Remember being in your 20s and looking at all the "old dudes" with their expensive mid life crisis mobiles and their younger passenger seat covers? Well, now I am that guy. Funny how life does that however I'm unapologetic and enjoying what may be my last truely powerful ICE vehicle (in a 6 speed no less).
I do wish Abbie was involved. I miss seeing her. Also Richard if you reads these comments, why is your wife not in workshop show anymore? Did she get sick of it?
Many RUclipsrs can learn a thing or two from all three of the top gear trio. The piece to camera is individual based. Not “hi guys welcome back”. Richard speaks as if he is speaking to you personally. It’s little things like that, that make these guys so unique and entertaining.
Agree. I hate the robot-like ‘hi guys, welcome back, how ‘re you doing’ from one full RUclipsr - so much so I no longer follow. Cheers for this Hamster
Right on Rich, I'm 52 and just finished a degree in design, released my first children's book, written the second and working in the third. It's a strange decade. Cheers.
11:34 Owning a Tesla as my daily driver for gig work may seem absolutely daft, but it brings so much joy to my daily grind. It's still work with plenty of downsides, but I love what I do. The positive attitude and attention to detail gets noticed, too.
Would love to be able to think and commute to work in my 991 too😂😂❤❤❤ Great video 😊 And a really great job by the Smallest Cog and DriveTribe team, can't wait for more content from your amazing team😊
I would love to work at Richards workshop! I always loved cars, since I was a little boy. I remember sitting in my familys Ford Transit and looking at oncoming cars and I would always know exactly what car it is. Now I am an adult, I havent figured what to do in my life. I don't have a job yet. I own my own car and I'm fixing it and making it better, but theres something important missing from it. People, I want to work with similar people like me. There's never a dream that is too big. Keep dreaming!
With the end of Grand Tour, we need the little doses of the guys wherever possible. Hammond, May and Orangutan are like a force of stability in many dudes lives.
While I'd easily get on and always relax with James and Jeremy, Richard's the guy I'd probably find myself spending the most time with if I were around all of them on a regular basis. And that coming from a Yank, so... Congrats to Izzy! And love the 911 Turbo S.
if hammond EVER finally decided to retire (thats going to be a bad day) least he knows that izzy can pick up the torch :), hammond mate ive grown up watching you an the other fellows and never feel bad for buying a sweet ride, youve worked hard and you deserve it =] especialy keeping going after the accidents, i dont know any other person who would of carried on like you have (Y)
It's Great to see you have loads of ideas after finishing TGT. I would like to know how you handled the transition from TGT to doing RUclips and smallest cog solely? When will they make this show available in the US?
So this video is actually what, 6 months old? The episodes with those cars have already been out for a bit and that means they were in post production for quite awhile.
When will we be able to watch Hammonds workshop in the USA? I really don't understand why you could advertise the show in the USA and tell us to watch it when it's not available to us
That's so bizarre that they don't show this in the US at all. I can't buy it. You can't watch it. Nothing you would think they would make some money.
Izzy certainly is a nice addition to the channel. Exactly for her approach to things, like Hammond explains.
I love how Hammond always talks to the camera like he’s catching up with an old mate
He's such a natural presenter, a talent for sure.
It is his job!
Always been his best advice, even to Izzy "I'm not talking to millions of people, I'm talking to you"
When they reviewing a car,
Hammond- Talking to his mate
Clarkson- Talking to himself
May- Talking to his class
And they did it all beautifully
Cool thing about TV presenters compared to RUclipsrs. TV presenters talk to you you tubers talk to their audience.
Richard slowly turning into James May. I love to see it
The more horsepower the better !
No it’s just a slow hamster now, because Mindy is the boss. Beside he needs a jag .. golfing
Jeremy never 😅
I’m not sure if he likes this or not, lol, to be called James May
For an incredibly lucky man, Hammond always seems very down to earth to me. Love his videos.
The most down to earth of the 3 for sure.
He did work very hard and is an amazing dad and husband
@@evns7142 dawg what?
@@ethan8532 Would say both May and Hammond are men of the people. It's only Clarkson that's arrogant but that's what makes him who he is as well.
Well said .best of the trio
“How far I’ve fallen”
About two hillsides
absolutely savage comment.... and I applaud it
💀
Upside-down while the paramedics ripping his trousers off, as a quote a certain TV presenter turned farmer who so happens hate manual labour, lol

I watch loads of auto RUclipsrs and think, "They're great at presenting this stuff." And then I watch Hammond do these. And realise what great really is.
So true
A level of excellence few can emulate. One of the 3 reasons why Top Gear was so successful.
Yep. I've only watched about two minutes of this video and he is effortlessley great.
Hammond always speaks with such honesty and passion. Never get tired of hearing this bloke.
I am so happy that I grew up on the original Top Gear trio and the Grand Tour. They basically turned me into who I am today, what I like and not. I hope one day I will be fortunate enough also to have a 911 because that car has always been my dream since childhood.😌😌😌
@@sasdibarnabas7837 my Better-half ain’t into cars and she always enjoyed watching both shows anyway.
Can't you rent them? That way you can get an idea what they're like without ownership.
Not sure how Angela Rippon, Tom Coyne and the others relate to this?
I could listen to Richard talk for hours 🥰
I do, regularly.
Pop down the Weston Cross and you'll be able to... 😂
Mannn i wish Richard had two friends he could do a car show with.. That would be epic!
Yeah, I know Richard, you will never see this, but on the off chance you do, you actually brought tears to my eyes. The elbow way up on the door made me giggle… I kinda get Clarksons commentaries now.
Hammonds continues to demonstrate why he is my favourite of the three presenters you feel the emotion through the camera whenever he talks about any car he drives and now life in general. Thank you Drivetribe for this opportunity to continue this
Love the attitude Hammond. Dont feel ashamed about enjoying the money you worked so hard to earn.
so hard? thumbnail midlife crisis.
This video warmed my heart, especially when he mentioned being Izzy's guest. You could see what a proud father he is. Watching this was the best part of my evening.
I legit love these videos. It's like we're riding along with Hammond and we're having a nice chat in a lovely car.
54 years old .. just a number .. just appreciate it all no matter what it comes 😊
nice that Izzy is participating in 'take your dad to work day'
Izzy's job is being the kid of somebody famous... which is sad.
@@thomgizziz 100%. She came across as a spoiled brat on Richard Hammond's Workshop. Nepobabies aren't my cup of tea.

Classic, just what I was thinking, lol
I came here to say this, glad I'm not the only one that picked up on that!
I’m a bit late to the party, but me too 😂😂
10:00 James May weeping somewhere with pride and joy I'm sure of it haha
You should listen to his ‘Who we are now podcast’ when James guested. They were talking modelling and other hobbies with the MD of Hornby.
Love how open and honest Richard can be. Fantastic stuff.

Always great to know what you're up to Richard
Hammond does come across as very humble.
I wish the show was available in the USA...
On internet most shows that exist is available for streaming with a little digging...
I have had the pleasure of watching you, Richard, for several decades. It is still as fun and enjoyable as it was in the beginning. Thank you.
The Turbo S is on my shortlist for a supercar/weekend car. It's stunning and a classic look.
why are yall censoring the number plate like we dont know its D1CKH
i think the plate was even shown when he first bought it, unless this is a new custom plate.

Richard really have this voice, tone, that’s soothing and make you want to listen to him for hours
I do love all three, but out of them, I feel like Richard is easily the one that's most... "with the times".
I've never dreamed of owning a Porsche 911, but I'm finally warming to them. A 997.2 4S Targa would be nice.
Give it time. Someone told me being a kid is wanting a Ferrari, growing up is realizing you need a Porsche and being an adult is knowing you actually want that Ferrari.
@MomonosukeKozuki I bought a 997.2 S manual a few years ago. It's reliable, gets plenty of attention, and an absolute hoot to drive.
I got a 997.2 targa 4S (2011) guards red. FPSH & just 40000 miles . My dream car, I’m a very lucky chap

Richard Hammond. Part of a trio that saved a generation of men and young men. A literal living Legend.
Thank you for speaking to us like we are your mates Richard! You are such a talent.
Some great reflections on things; and must be a neat feeling seeing how much Izzy is getting into this both on our own, and in her own way.
I wouldn’t say lucky Richard, it’s obvious you’ve put the time and effort into getting to where you are 👍🏻
