      Out of the two he looked a lot worse to me. He just looks really slow to process and stands in the pocket flat-footed. Then he just panics and runs. Hartman didn’t look great but at least looked decisive in where he wanted to go he just wasn’t accurate. Part of that one could put down to just the chemistry with receivers he’s not used to playing with. You can’t just sit back there and fail to get the ball out rep after rep like Milton did though.

    The worst part is the defense is so simple, a 4-man rush with basic coverage nearly every play, and still they were hanging onto the ball and missing open receivers. This should have been relatively easy, especially for the guys who are like 23 years-old.

      @praisebegamecocks 3 месяца назад +9

      On those deep balls, I've seen some go long with coverage over top, when it should've been low so the receiver can box out, there were a couple with bad velocity coming in on an arch that let coverage catch up and some clear forces to double coverage, but I agree that it went to where the receiver was, lol. Poor Tez Walker was consistently open deep, and that mask just stayed there to get undercut by the DB, better depth of speed and Wallet has a few TDs.

    Milton will get drafted and so will Hartman. Sam throws a beautiful ball I think he has promise to have a NFL career. Milton just needs a QB whisper, Coach Heupel did a good job coaching him, but Milton development depends on if he can get better with decision making and accuracy along with putting more touch on the ball especially on those simple 5-10 yard throws lol. As a UT fan it's hard watching him because you pull for him and he lets you down, but when you least expect it Milton throws a beautiful 50/50 ball for a 60 yard TD on the money. I'm sure Milton will have a career in the NFL because even as a No.2 QB he has more upside as a 6'5 230 pound QB who can move around if he has too with a rocket arm. It'll be interesting were both of these QBs end up and what round they will be drafted in. I haven't looked into any draft boards but if I had to guess I'd say Sam could be anywhere from a 3rd round to 4th round pick, and Joe Milton will probably be a 5th to maybe a 7th round pick because he will be a QB that will undergo major developments because of his accuracy and lack of reading a NFL defense, but if he lands somewhere with the right coaching staff I think he will have a good chance to be a starter in 3-4 years .

We don’t know what a guy will do becuz we’ve all seen players that have no business even being a #1 pick or even in the 1st round and we see guys at every position get drafted 6th and 7th rounds sometimes even UDFA and become household names during their career. I would still take Milton over Hartman. Hartman looked physically overmatched. Hartman's mechanics are also worse than Milton's somehow. Footwork is better but the arm action looks miserable half the time. The throw at 5:03 is mind-bogglingly bad. At least you could theoretically coach up Milton's tools.
