Andrew, ive had a quadlock for years on my CB500X windscreen bar(using the mirror attachment) fitted with the damper and the wireless charger. Its been working flawlessly on my aventures around scotland and wales, you shouldnt be disappointed.

Good to hear that as I did wonder if there might be issues with the vibration on that bar… will mount mine up there at the weekend

I’ve fitted the mitas tyres 2 weeks ago . I’m very impressed very slight wobble from the front at speeds less than 15 mph from the front due to the ( nobbles )😂 apart from that the road holding is no different to the standard trail max I’ve had it leaned to the very edge of the tread on the rear and it just grips . I did a farm track with literally foot deep potholes and some sections completely washed out down to the hardcore I was bottoming out on the sump guard . The tyres did a fantastic job only slipped in wet mud sections. If I get anywhere near the mileage you got out of yours I will be over the moon. I dont have a radiator guard on my bike and this is an absolute must with these tyres so that is top of my to do list.

Excellent and I’d agree muddy tracks are horrible 😂 I’m going to run the Dunlops for a couple of thousand more miles, already nearing 2k so won’t take that long and I’ll be straight into the Mitas! Actually, you’ve reminded me to sort the radiator guard..I’d forgot.. keep safe and all the best 👍🏻

Hi. I also have the NX500. I fitted Quadlock as well. However, I used the “mirror bar” mount which fits on to the bar provided by Honda (the bar behind the windscreen) it works perfectly as it is protected from wind etc and it is in perfect view.

Yes, good place and I’m going to put a RAM mount on there when I get time… the bar does vibrate a bit but suspect the Quadlock vibration dampener copes well with that!

@@thecampingbiker791 I have an iPhone 14 Plus which is a large phone. It is on a dampening bracket and wiggles a little in portrait position. I use it in landscape position and it hardly moves.

I have the NX500 and quad lock system. I use it on the bar near the screen as it is eye level. The mounting bar (near the screen is around 12mm) however, the quad lock mount is 16mm from memory. What I did was get a few rubber packers from my bicycle light and use them on my quad lock. Fit perfect and solid. I have the 12v socket on my nx500 to enable me to charge my phone.
Definitely get the vibration dampener. 3000k miles on my nx and it’s great.

As a Canadian who is very interested in coming to the UK to do motorcycle camping/hiking trips have you considered a general overview video on when and where to go in the UK?
I appreciate its a massive area but in the sense that some general ideas of seasonality, areas with sufficient camp sites or national parks thats have camping would be interesting.
i am not sure how much motorcycle tourism you get that but where i lived in the mountains of Canada we had people from all over the world fly in and ride....same goes for where i live now in Chiang Mai amazing riding here too. Honestly li think the UK countryside is incredible, the history and the farms are gorgeous.
I would say where i travel in Canada would be equally confusing to a newbie as well. I am looking at buying a bike and leaving it in Ireland and coming to the UK each year for a few months via the Motofiermie guys...its a process to get sorted but riding the UK and southern Europe is high on my bucket list. I am picking up my NX500 down here in Chiang Mai next week as my next bike thats whet led me to your page. I want to buy the same bike for the Eu with lock boxes and stay on road mostly on the 2 lane roads.

Give me a heads up when you're in Ireland on your bike...I'll show you some nice rides!

Well, that’s an interesting project and one I’ll think carefully about.. although needs time to think it through..
At the very least when you do come to UK, particularly the North, let me know and I’d give some pointers of good biking and scenic places to visit….also Scotland is incredible for riding, as are the Scottish islands…I’m currently on the Isle of Arran and it’s wonderful..there will be video coming out over next couple of weeks.
Canada must be amazing to travel on the bike, as is Thailand. I’ve watched a few videos of motorcycle travel in Thailand and love the country, been once but not a biking trip!!
Enjoy the NX, cracking good bike 👍🏻

You can get a quadlock adapter to fit on any case. It glues on the back.
