Greetings from India! It's a welcome update to a proven bike for its target market, so may sound like an ad indeed, but overall a nice summary. My two cents about the updated switchgear - the joystick like backlit switchgear pairs well with Honda Roadsync app, and simply transforms your connectivity experience while riding. I have been using this combination on their CB350 series launched in India, for the past 3 years, and I don't want to go back to a motorbike that doesn't have it! Not having to lift your arm to reach intercom mounted on your helmet, when cruising at 100km/hr or more, is a big relief. The app is thoughtfully designed, controlled using the joystick or even voice and allows to pick or dial call, dictate or send preset texts, switch on/off music, start navigation by picking from set favourite destinations etc. Really helpful when touring long distances.
Nice review. You guys are so good together. I think this bike would be a bit underpowered for me. But it’d be a great little bike for commuting or touring or even weekend fun just to get out there

Great review. I am still riding the 2021 version of this bike and here in Japan it is sold as the 400X. This is due to license classifications in Japan being up to 400cc and over 400cc. I love my 400X but i do find the gearbox to be a bit clunky going from first to second and it seems very heavy. Otherwise can't complain. Look forward to seeing the 2024 model.
Honestly, no. I feel like I'm wasting my money if I have cheap plastic factory handguards and go about replacing them with barkbusters, better off keeping the initial price as low as possible and let the buyer decide what extra parts to get rather than force them on everyone. Same with skidplates, factory ones are mostly no good for the job and you end up replacing them anyway. Better off if Honda keeps the standard price down by say $200 instead of throwing useless extras on. 12v plug should come stock though.

Honda just needs to put the Transalp engine in this style of bike with cast rims and tubeless tyres, throw in cruise control and the thing will outsell everything on the market.
