I've been going around youtube for an hour just trying to find a video essay on the deeper messages portrayed in this film such as: max's only escape from his real life issues is by going to sleep. nobody talks about his mother and father's crumbling relationships or the fact that he is maliciously bullied at school for taking accounts of his dreams... The most precious things he has in a world full of adversity and pain.
