Taylor Dooley actually said that she intentionally decided not to pursue an acting career as a kid and that she’s grateful she didn’t get sucked into the exploitation and abuse that a lot of child actors grow up in
Thats good to know. Still couldve been luckier with the choice of movies, they all look terrible
She says this as she costars in a movie full of child actors and actresses

Man, being 7 was fun cause at least your imagination didn't question it haha.
I watched sharkboy and lavagirl for the first time like 3 months ago, and I dont even remember the cgi looking that bad 😔
Mine did, sadly. I was a jaded 7 year old complaining about graphics.
i remember even at 7 I couldn't stand the CGI loved spy kids but hated the CGI
I watched it when I was 8 or something, and I remember the cgi being bad, and the specially bad parts I just as assumed were like that because they were 3D and that was probably difficult or whatever
I had watched spy kids 3. I still couldn't make the connection that the cgi was just bad.
PLEASE why am i the only one that likes the cgi. i never once questioned the graphics, and i'm so glad i haven't because i can enjoy cgi movies/tv shows with no complains.
To be honest I don’t remember ANYONE my age (2002 baby) disliking shark boy and lava girl. If the critics and older kids disliked it, I had no idea. This is a cinematic masterpiece.
It is for me as well! Absolutely adore this movie

It’s one of those movies where it’s so bad it’s good. (Kinda like twilight)
It wasn’t that bad as if you were a child and watching it but as an older person it ain’t the same
It's when you watch this kind of stuff as a kid you don't realize what's wrong with it until you watch it when you're older.
I was 12 when I watched Sharkboy and Lavagirl and I was like "WTF" while my friend was enjoying it. She acted a little younger than me at the time, and I was also starting to realize how bad some stuff is that we think is normal as kids. Fairly odd parents for example, it was so messed up! Dirty jokes and very creepy that the female fairy was in the bathroom while the boy was in the bathtub. The foot fetish references in iCarly and Victorious! Remember when Carly got her foot stuck in the bathtub? That's how the Dan snyder being a perv came out.
To be fair, both sides have a point. Yes, people get surprised when someone doesnt like a terrible yet not terrible movie. But it depends an age groups. Ofc 14+ year olds might not like it (im 13 and still like the movie), but people younger than 10 would typically take notice to it. So yeah it had horrendously hideous graphics as well as an odd storyline, but people still enjoy it.

Actually it is trash when go back to it... It's just amazing when we were kids because there were goofy animations of ice creams and Powers and shit
I think they got the title "We can be heroes" and then the girl said "...just for one day" from song "Heroes" by David Bowie (also Johnny Depp sang a version in his band Hollywood Vampires.)
"So we can be heroes... just for one day..."
"This is a movie that almost everyone hated"
Who is this "almost everyone" you are talking about?
Bruh I loved it as a kid even though its cringe to watch now hehe
@@treemane0 lmao same
Tremain Dzuimo same
lol same, I still love this movie

Drew: Shouldn't Sharkboy be Sharkman as an adult?
Also Drew: *Doesn't say anything about Lavagirl being Lavawoman*
I thought they didn't even exist after the first movie
Lava woman just sounds weird. I mean... supergirl is a superhero
Because men are fragile and can't handle being called a boy
You know we live in a society
Yea! Let’s cancel him 😈
As a very young kid, this was one of my favorite movies. It blew my mind ans I watched so many times I could play the whole thing in my head.
Shark boy and lava girl was amazing and a cinamatic masterpiece
"Sharkboy and Lavagirl is a terrible movie from 15 years ago that almost everybody hated,"
*w h a t*
Completely the opposite
I know right, like I loved it
Same I really enjoyed it
RIGHT when he said that i was like,,, ?? people hated it ?? there’s too much sharkboy and lavagirl slander here 😤

I know that sharkboy and lava girl was the first film I ever watched in 3D in the cinema but I do not remember any of it, except that there was a moment with some 3D sharks swimming towards the audience and it scared a grandma sitting at the back and she hit her head on the wall
Its really funny that both of the main actors from Narcos are in this movie , just the contrast between this movie and that show is really jarring haha
“No one likes that movie.”
Everyone: “ok yes it sucked but let’s be honest it’s our childhood”
Right! I was surprised that he said that I loved this movie and still stand by it lmao 😭🤚
Like High School Musical
@@katiee315 lol same bro, I watched the movie in 2010 when i was 7 or something, I loved it back then.

Yes yes especially us born in 2006
I'm confused: How can others have already talked about Sharkboy and Lavagirl if you're the only RUclips Channel? Plothole much? unsubscribing!
i can’t believe danny has been lying to us this whole time!
@@mangobuffalo1543 I thought this was Drew's channel....

Never before this have I heard that Sharkboy and Lavagirl is in the same cinematic universe as Spy Kids. Explains why I loved them all as a kids
Never before this moment had I ever heard that Sharkboy and Lavagirl is set in the same cinematic universe as Spy Kids. And yet this makes complete sense
“Truly might be the greatest bad movie ever” Drew, Sharkboy and Lava Girl is THE greatest Bad Movie ever

Sad Gooby noises.
