Nuestra cultura es muy hermosa!!! Orgullosa de ser MEXICANA!!!
Fun fact, the Cowboy comes from the Mexican Vaquero.
I enjoyed that parade very much! Thanks for sharing and I hope Hillary feels better soon! Happy Independence Day Mexico!
Thanks for showing the national sport of Mexico. I grew up spending my weekends in the Charreadas since my dad and my brother were charros and they belong to a team of charros. The Mexicans learned how to deal with horses and cattle from the Spaniards and then the Mexican cowboy thought the American cowboy how to deal with horses and cattle. That's why in the US you have spanish words like rodeo, corral, latigo, lasso etc etc. King ranch originally had a bunch of Mexican cowboy. The young boys you saw using the rope have been practicing since they as little as 3 or 4 years old. I remember growing up seeing our friends and my brother practicing since they were so little. But the whole point of that is that you lasso the cattle and at the same time you do it with style. It's called " florear" meaning like you are little forming flowers on the air. But like I said when they do that with the rope at the end they lasso the animal after finishing the shapes they create on the air. It's a long tradition for families that belong to the charreria. The whole purpose of the charreria team is for the Charros to show their skills as cowboys. If you have a chance go to charreria tournament. Also you would get the chance to see the intricate performance of the escaramuza girls. They have to practice for a long time before they perform. Thanks for showing the world a tradition that has been so dear to me since I was a little girl. And by the way mariachi bands borrow their outfit from the charros and not viceversa.
