- A successful Bruneian Martial Art Event in Paris, France.
1st Silat Suffian Bela Diri (SSBD) International Seminar since the start of the Covid19 Pandemic in 2020. 1st seminar in France since 3 years ago.
1st SSBD event was a 2 days weekend seminar hosted by the French Karate Federation (FFK) organised by Didier Garcia in communication with Sebastian Ribac, on the 12th and 13th November 2022. We had 90+ participants for this event.
2nd SSBD event was organised by the French SSBD Group Leader, Sebastian Ribac. A 5 days SSBD Training Camp, 16th to 20th November 2022. Due to difficulties in finding a large training hall we had to limite the participants to 30-35 people.

Thank you Eric Olea, Eyal Bar-on, Marcel Horstman, Uwe Kramer, Claudia Kofler and Vicente Moreno for your patience in assisting me in my instruction and demonstration.
Thank you to everyone that came from different parts of France, the UK, USA, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Spain. Without your support this would not have happend.
We also had the honour and privilege of meeting 2 significant individuals in the martial arts community, Dr Kacem Zoughary, a well known Japanese History and Martial Arts researcher and practitioner; and Sifu Didier Beddar, a famous Wing Chun Instructor based in Paris.

Long time fan too, may Allah protect you and bring you angels . May Allah make you meet best people in iman and ihsan than before. Your martial art is one of the best and maybe the best and Allah know the best. I wish inchallah Allah give the chance to live in a town where your brunean or indonesian silat are. Interseptin fist is high in your mouvment. The best way is to work in left guard and right guard because Allah dont care what side, he knows only people who do it with soul. Youre one of best silat guru ive seen. Salamalikoum 👍

There's a dead angle in the way the stabber attacks
I never saw a stabber loading his armed hand from behind his shoulder.
Usually the stabber keeps his arm in front of his shoulder and multiplies his thrusts toward the victim's belly while stepping fastly forward.
This looks nice but if this were a real knife in a real life situation I would not use these methods.
He’s teaching the traditional art, not modernized that much. It’s up to the practitioner to take what they’ve learned and to modernize the technique to benefit the individual as well as trying not to steer too far away from the philosophy behind the movements as well as the fundamentals themselves. Just like Muay Thai, Silat is very easy to adapt to modern fighting, but finding the proper Guru to train you in the art will be tough since it’s not as popular as Muay Thai and the like

Im not sure if you are reading the description in the video. These are "drills", hence of course it its practiced and repeated in class. When you practice any martial arts in a gym, it's not real life. When people go a martial arts class, it's called practice. If you train martial arts you will know the difference :D :D
