  • It’s a big one, today on Working Hard, Hardly Working, we have the one and only will.i.am.
He’s a multi-platinum artist, he’s won nine Grammys, an Emmy and is an all-round incredible musician, both as part of the Black Eyed Peas and as a music producer.
But what you might not know, is that he’s also a tech entrepreneur, and has been leading and investing in tech companies for over a decade now. I wanted to speak to Will about navigating two simultaneous careers, how they intersect, and what brought him to where his “career” lies now.
It’s such an honour to have Will on the podcast, I’ll be honest with you, I was pretty star-struck. Thanks for watching!

lovely how you gave him space and time to feel comfortable enough to express himself fully, so that we get to understand how he thinks!

This is the best episode so far Grace! Thanks for bringing WillIAm to the podcast. It was very inspiring and I am really surprised how humble he is still today. Perfect interview, thanks for both of your work on this (and ofc the team’s) 🎉

I have never related more to someone else's brain as Will! The way his thoughts work, the way he talks about his experience at business school, how he goes about running his business and making pitches, the way he executes his goals. It's so creative and it is SO cool to see him, who is so successful with a brain that works in a creative way. I feel really inspired, really seen and absolutely LOVED his interview.

I think this was a great insight to the way Will’s mind works. It would’ve been great to see a little more natural engagement and follow up to his responses from Grace, rather than the scripted questions that seemed to follow each of his detailed responses. Still a great interview though!
