I love how the audio changes to make it feel like I'm in an empty auditorium. This was Charlie's TED talk about cringe and the was a perfect way to end the video.
@@AnthonysMeat Two simultaneous waveforms will cancel each other out or create a chorus if offset. This is clearly a reverb or delay effect. Its good practice to put a little reverb on any voice recording.. but here the mix has been cranked.

It's been theorised that we evolved to find embarrassment so unbearable because in the past, being ostracised by your tribe was literally a death sentence. Cringe is second-hand embarrassment, so we simultaneously feel both the pain of imagining being them, and also the desire to publicly reject them, so as to make it clear we are not in their group and do not condone their behaviour.
@@curious_O_oNo, his theory is way better than yours because it was actually cringe of you to use privilege in this context. Now you shall be exiled from the tribe. Take your cringe to mother nature.

That's pretty much how I go about being online, if I wouldn't say it to someone's face I'm not typing it. Being mean online is more cringy than doing a love surge, and that's saying something
the thin line between cringe and cool is sincerity. if a different video of someone genuinely becoming happy for pancakes may go viral because its so natural and sincere. when someone creates a fake scenario and acts excited it becomes so cringe. (for the record i thought both were weird and a little cringe because they seems disingenuous) take for example that skating guy with the cranberry juice. it went viral cuz it was just so sincere and relatable and not trying too hard, if at all. hell its why charlies content is so good.
Its the creating a weird and unnecessary scene in public that people hate. Same thing goes for these kids doing dancing videos in retail stores and acting like its their god given right
i think anime kinda proves this point, the scared character saying they aren't gonna lose is cringe, but the fully focused, intense stare character saying the same thing is really cool
Yes, the people wishing death on them are even sadder and worse than grown adults posting lame ass videos on social media. Which is already super fuckin lame and pathetic. Don't they have jobs, kids, a fuckin house to try and keep clean?
People need to be taught to realize when all content they happen by is not for them. Message boards worked a lot better than the unending feed of content that is supposedly "tailored for you."
"I am cringe but I am free" is such a true statement. If I stumble across a cringey video, I just skip it and move on w my day. It's the people that leave hate comments / death threats who are the problem. Of course if you post anything on the internet you are subjected to backlash but nobody deserves that much hate for a silly video imo.
Nah if you wanna post stuff like that for clout be prepared for the shitty reactions you are gonna get. It just is what it is. I'm hoping that eventually if the backlash is big enough people will stop acting like goofy fucks. I don't go outside because of people that do cringey shit.
I feel like uncontrollable disgust is an involuntary and valid reaction to cringe. But you know what is super cringe ? Being the person who threatened the love surge lady.
The funny thing is that Charlie really has a point. Like Colleen got a lot of hate for being a pedo but I really feel like no one would’ve paid attention to her if she didn’t make the cringey apology video.
I play these videos as background noise to help me fall asleep, but Charlie saying that subjecting people to cringe could be considered an act of terrorism made me laugh myself awake
The most tiktok thing about all this is that when she was crying because people made her feel bad for something completely harmelss, they just doubled down on it and kept insulting her.
This is sad but unsurprising. In the old days we committed cringe but it was forgotten in five seconds. Nowadays one gaff will have you branded a pariah forever. Stay safe out there people
I know bro I thought it was wholesome because they seemed genuinely happy to just shoot a video and be silly. However, if it’s cringe and fake then I’m like “alright whatever dude” then scroll past it.What kinda normal person looks at that and is like “alright time for me to make someone cry”?!
It's not just the cringe itself that riles people up, but a twisted kind of herd mentality. People love to hate on the same thing, because it gives them a sense of community, while also giving them an outlet for their negative emotions without having to fear any individual consequences.
Idk sometimes when I see (in person) people doing "cringey" dances for internet clout, it makes me upset not out of herd mentality but out of the exact opposite, I don't want to associate myself with things I don't understand lol
Being annoyed or mad at something cringe isn’t a big deal as long as you keep it to yourself. However, expressing your hate by making fun of them or worse, sending death/r@p3 threats to somebody just being themselves is the real "unforgivable cringe".
Beiing cringy is also not a big deal as long as you keep it to yourself. I, too, do cringy shit with my girlfriend but guess what? It ain't in the internet for everyone to see. They brought this upon themselves.
@@strawberrycrepesss you are welcoming everyone's response by posting on the internet it doesnt matter what that response is you are welcoming it. everyone wants to be on the internet but not everyone can handle it
Honestly when Charlie said that when someone makes us cringe we hold it against them forever, that makes sense to me. Think about it, what happens more randomly to you: remembering something that made you sad/upset, or something that made you cringe? I think with most emotions they often come and go, but cringe somehow sticks to us like a thorn in our brain
I rarely stay angry for more than an instant, a flash of indignation. Honestly I kinda wish I could hold onto to that feeling a bit longer if only to use it productively. On the other hand, I still cringe at my memories going back to fluffing kindergarten 😂
I think it's about the second hand embarrassment how you can never seem to forget embarrassing things that you did or happened to you even when its someone else the embarrassment still sticks.
People are not responsible to internet. Whether it's cringe for likes or the horrible comments, social media was no doubt the worst thing to ever be invented. The only thing it did to bring us together was to collectively hate each other. That and it seems like all the worst people that are internet famous can say or do horrible things and nothing happens. They keep their platforms, they continue to be successful and no responsibility was taken. Social media is so toxic and I do not blame people for taking breaks and staying off of it completely
Charlie is so right. Noticed that phenomenon too with many basically wholesome things being cringey and then people would go as hard as wishing death upon others. It's sad honestly.
As long as she's not somehow interrupting my meal by being too loud or like way to excited, then idgaf and no one should gaf if they are happy dancing when they get their food. Like bro, I'm going to do a happy dance if I want to, and you will not stop me from doing it. Lol
The people sending the death threats were probably single losers tbh. The video was cringy but also sweet if you've ever had moments like that with someone else.
@@bored_potatoThey’re not mad that she’s happy, they’re annoyed at how fake it is. There’s a difference. Obviously the ones sending threats are unhinged.
@Nezxmi I mean just cause they scripted it doesnt mean its fake. It could just mean they rehearsed that for a video but truly practice what they preach. People just dont like seeing other people happy when they themselves arent imo
I think we react to cringe so strongly because it's so relatable. when someone does something actually awful, there is more often a layer of disconnect (being that you have never been the victim or the abuser in a situation so it doesn't hit you as hard) Cringe, is within us all and no one likes to have that mirror forced in front of them by someone else. so we repeal from it like it's mustard gas. That's my theory at least
well said. i also think it's an instinct to repel something that's different. it's survival almost. back in the day we would probably sacrifice cringelords for disrupting the order. when someone does something horrible/cruel they hide it usually. deny it. etc. cringe just comes out in public.
I feel so bad for the "love surge" lady. The absolutely insane things that people will say to actual people over the internet is truly unbelievable. She definitely wasn't ready for all that, she's too wholesome.
I think she needs to do a lot of work on herself if comments from stangers on the internet can bring her to tears. Like I get it, the comments can be annoying and shocking, but those are people who have no idea who she is, she will never meet them; 99% of them are lonely, depressed, and probably one negative life experience away from taking themselves out. She expects everyone to love/accept everything she does, but thats just not how the world (especially the internet) works.
The "love surge" couple gave me a flashback to when I was like 15 and wrote my bf at the time a happy 1 year anniversary comment on fb and it was pretty cringe and super like "IDC WHAT THEY SAY OUR LOVE WILL LAST FOREVER" kinda deal. And I got home from school and a bunch of family was visiting and I could hear them all laughing in the living room as my older, cooler cousin was reading my comment out loud to the entire family and making jokes and laughing at me. I don't think I ever posted on fb again after that and was really really upset, but I can't even imagine what it would feel like if it was the entire internet making fun of me instead of just my entire extended family.
F*CK em. I wish folks had tougher skin, it's not a disparagement I hope you understand that, but if folks were tougher they could ignore the absolute idiocy of other people. Be harder inside and ready to do things that need done.
@@slimely9758 It's just really sad that this happens so often that I'm not as shocked as I should be that this happened. It's appalling but definitely not surprising unfortunately.
I think cringe can be pretty much described as “doing things in public (or online) that the average person wouldn’t, or if they did, would feel embarrassed by”
I don't think you're wrong, but now think about how neurospicy, especially autistic peeps, have to function. When emotions are legit too strong to handle, so you have a physical reaction, like flapping your hands or dancing before getting your fav food. And we, as a society, shame people for it, cause it's cringe.
Some people are just so miserable that they can't understand how to be happy/confident and let other people be that as well. They need to take it out on others because they have no way to improve their own life. It's sad really.
To be honest, I was thinking myself "Oh my gosh, SO DAMN CRINGE" while feeling literal disgust at the start of the video, but the moment I saw her crying my damn heart broke. If she is not bothering anyone, we should learn to just accept that we are all cringey at some moment and no one deserves an emotional beating like this for literally nothing.
She made Millions of people uncomfortable for a couple of seconds and those millions of people made her uncomfortable for a couple of seconds as well, It was a fair trade.
I was forced to watch it and trust me bucko it was much longer than a few seconds. Time slows down in tragic moments like that but you have to have a very high intellect to understand.
Dude why she crying over sum hateful internet comments, then making a video about it and then even uploading it ☠☠☠ Its pathetic and idiotic as hell. If it really bothered that woman so much she couldve just deleted the video and moved on, or deleted the account to avoid the oh so harmful internet comments And besides, its her fault anyway. Too dumb to think of the possible consequences of uploading something like this and uses tiktok. there is a serious problem with social media where we seem to forget we're interacting with real people. love surge lady is not just some embarrassing video, she is a real actual human being with thoughts and feelings. but social media has conditioned us to view other people as concepts, ideas, pure amusement. it's disgusting. so many people feel good about themselves after sending literal death threats to people because they've stopped actually viewing them as _people._ seeing her cry meant nothing to them because they're so desensitized to the emotions of others they just don't care.
I agree! Especially since nowadays people think that since their online they won’t be called out on in real life. This fuels them to keep bullying other people since the internet hides their identity (like what Penguinz0 said, it makes them feel their superior since they are anonymous.)
I'm actually glad that from 16-25 I actually had basically zero internet access. By the time I joined the online world I didn't get sucked into these nasty black holes of toxicity. 4chan for example - I completely missed that. MySpace, Twitter until the end stages, I just wasn't there haha

It's just an hypothesis, but maybe the reason people despise what's cringe is somehow related to a strong response of disgust. One of the most common feeling about things we despise (like cockroaches) is extreme disgust, followed by an eerie desire to destroy what caused us that feeling.
I believe it. Look at all the angry people mad at happy people and how they try to snuff that happiness the other feels till they're just as angry and hateful as them 🤣
I feel like it has much to do with insecurity. We cringe more at what we know we've done or seen personally done in the past, i.e. doing something embarrassing on stage or otherwise in front of people you don't know. Natural human conformity combined with the anonimity of the internet can be a vile compound. Cringe is everywhere. It is the inevitable byproduct of sincerity. At least in that second video it is. In the first video, it was a slightly misguided attempt at making something relatable, and the second video was a purely innocent display of a very odd personal display of affection. Not the worst thing in the world, and somewhat embarrassing, yes, but ultimately, no one is hurt and no one is even inconvenienced. Nothing says you can't share weird love online as long as it's not explicit. I dunno. Tldr: I think people need to calm down and find some other hobby that makes them feel good. There are worse things online that are worth their ridicule and rage
The thing about cringe, is that if you embrace it and not let it get to you, people will back off because they will realize it doesn’t bother you. The minute you are cringe and then get embarrassed by it, it will be the death of you.
Genuinely, I believe that couple has a lot of love for each other. That's great for them, I absolutely love that. Never show the internet that. The internet can be hateful as all get out. Sometimes, it's warranted, but most times it's this
Oh definitely!! That’s why somethings in relationships have to be kept in private. I agree. A lot of healthy couples who post things on the internet often expose themselves to very hurt or misguided people that love to wander the internet and project their very unhealthy views onto their posts. For instance, many people on the internet cannot comprehend the idea of trusting your partner and the fact that cheating does not happen in every relationship. Or that some girls genuinely dislike the idea of cheating in general, they've been too hurt to acknowledge that not everyone is the same. It's very bizarre when you've been exposed to many good and healthy relationships and see people genuinely believing they don't exist.

Literally found one guy who said that ‘all couple-posts are just flexing on single people. They’re all terrible’ as if they were doing it PERSONALLY to go out of their way to make him feel bad by being happy together online. Just go offline, get a life, and deal with your own issues
As someone who is very happy with being single, I find that people who hate love need to solve a personal issue. Yes, it’s valid being ace or aro, but it’s not valid to bash on couples.

This is something that genuinely makes me angry. Its also says something about the internet itself, and how much of a complete mess it really is. We have people like Dale Wilson getting away with so many stuff. Straight up doxxed people, and it was revealed that he dated a 17 year old girl when he was 29. Yet, he seems to be more popular than ever because of his memes. While completely ignoring how narcissistic he really is. Yet, people who are "cringe" at best are the ones that are practically canceled from existence. This kind of behavior is pretty disgusting to me.
It also reminds me of the sorbet incident. A lot of jerks form both Twitter and TikTok have harassed and doxxed the Japanese idol group into quitting social media entirely just because they thought they were cringe and attracting creeps. Hasanabi had also claimed that they were cringe, and even made fun of their idol group dances, accents, and stereotyping them as Korean. Meanwhile, the same TikTok community that harassed some idol group of girls who just wanted to have fun would be the same community who would fall in love/idolize with Devon Erickson, the 2018 Colorado school shooter. They made tons of edits and videos begging for his freedom, despite being a convicted felon. The fact that a homicidal maniac is cherished and loved, while 3 kindhearted idol girls get bullied into obscurity just shows how doomed we are as a society.

I would not be caught sharing something like that on social media. I'm sorry, but it just looks like creepy new age shit. Like just feels wrong looking at it.
Yeah, I think people tend to forget that something can be a little cringy but also really harmless too. Sweet, even. It does come off a little as tiktok culture, but it made them happy. And when something "weird" makes people happy in private, then they shouldn't be judged for it.
I'm not a psychologist/sociologist, so folks with that background, please chime in. I remember seeing somewhere that it's a universal human trait (and possibly of all primates) to take social rejection very hard because, back when our ancient ancestors lived as small, wandering groups, being socially shunned was akin to a death sentence. Those social groups were vital to survive, and so being alone was almost a guarantee that you wouldn't last long. So over millenia, a high sensitivity to social norms and social expectations evolved to connect a reaction of disgust with behavior we viewed as "outside social acceptability". So "Cringe" could just the modern incarnation of this "social survivalist" evolved behavior.
@@icecreamaddictroxasisn't that like an instinct that if someone does something weird or acts weird even for views in social media are a sign of an unwell individual in the eyes of strangers. You don't wanna add ill individuals into your group if you don't want and the others to get sick. Just as how the rejected male lions form their own group after being thrown out of a pride.
This sounds about right. I should also add that we humans are social creatures, and interaction is very important to us. When we have that many negative interactions with other humans, it can cause serious emotional and psychological damage, causing problems with self confidence, social anxiety, and possibly isolating oneself to shut them off from the negative experiences (which unfortunately also shuts them off from positive interactions as well)
It’s a such high school behaviour, to think being mean- basically being a bully- is okay or funny but when it comes to embarrassment, that’s where the line is drawn. I guess because with being a bully comes power, embarrassment is literally the feeling of no power or control.
The only lack of control in embarrassment is possibly the lack of control of your image. Other than that its a biiiig stretch to define embarrassment as "no power or control". Its literally just being perceived as outside the social norm by failing to meet societal expectations in performance or behavior. And then the shame of being evaluated negatively by others. THAT'S what embarrassment is.
@@Scyborg832 yeah you’re right, in hindsight embarrassment doesn’t literally equate to no power. It just kind of feels like that in the moment. Yeah, loss of control over your image/ reputation is a good way to put it.
I was bullied growing up, and I always wondered if the bullies knew they were being the “bad guy” in the scenario. Like if you asked the people who write those awful comments to that poor girl if they are bullies, they’d probably say “no”. It’s odd how cruelty can just be considered ok in many people’s minds. They think they are being funny or that they aren’t really that bad, but they are completely wrong. Making fun of people who are doing no harm is cruel and can have life long impacts on the person you target. People need to grow up and be kind.
For the most part, bullies have villain logic. They either don't care about right and wrong, or they convince themselves that you committed a transgression by annoying them, possibly just by existing, so their bullying is retaliation. Some even think they're doing you a favor by helping toughen you up.

(Though, looking into the situation, the reason he seemed "too energetic" was actually because the media microphones weren't picking up the crowd's volume that he was shouting over, thus making him seem like he was shouting over near-silence.) They hunger for attention yet live in constant fear of ~being embarrassed~ Only the humiliation of their peers can truly sustain them. Some teens never grow up, instead taking the form of insecure internet goblins who feed on the tears of cyberbullied children.
@@Luis-sz7tn she was literally just having fun. i’m sure her target audience were not cringe thirsty teenagers and was probably for the middle aged moms who watched it thought it was funny. it’s crazy to me how you cannot understand the concept of humor in different generations. please grow up.

Bro, you got so analytical on cringe I HAD TO look this up lol! "The feeling of cringe is a personal, empathetic embodiment of embarrassment that someone else is experiencing - but it's rooted in bodily survival instinct. “Cringing is essentially a mechanism to deter us from behaving in ways that risk us losing status or gaining the negative judgement of others,”
I believe that cringe is the only thing that makes people feel bad over something anymore. Murder, Betrayal, Scams. Thats all stuff you can get desensitized to. But cringe, no that will stick with you. It's not that cringe is the worst thing you can do, it's that people online are so bad at handeling the slightest annoyance of an emotion that they go on to send death threats, because they can't be desensitized to cringe.
That's about empathy, or the lack of it. People hate cringe bc it makes them feel uncomfortable. Now, when they see someone doing something terrible to someone else, they dont care, bc they lack empathy.
lol i saw something once that said “kill the part of u that cringes” and my feelings of what “cringe” is changed completely. it’s just bitter judgmental people who lack empathy tbh
I think the only unforgivable thing here are people's extreme (negative) reactions. Who cares if it's performative? You said it yourself (11:31): they're not hurting or inconveniencing anyone. If they're genuinely happy, good for them. If they're faking it, then I just feel sad for them (either way, there's no good reason for bullying).
In a world of sad people, happiness is uncomfortable, whether fake or genuine. I’ll never forget that video of those girls excited about the foam they bought, and how somehow that made every human being uncomfortable. They were being completely genuine. Enjoying life. And that makes the majority of people upset. Because they could never imagine themselves being so outwardly happy like that. The public element only amplifies it all.
Exactly, I feel like some people are just doomed to hate watching instead of actually thinking to themselves and acting critical. This is not unforgivable cringe, people are just banally hateful
its more like the fact she filmed it. theres nothing inherintly cringe about someone doing this in public, its the fact that she filmed it like a twat that makes people not like it. i hate people filming ever little bit of their lives, thats what is truly sad my dude.
It's not anger because "oooh, how dare they be happy IN MY SOCIETY!" It's aggravating because it's grown people acting like children with no sense of awareness or irony. "ZOMG FOAM" is middle-school humor that is annoying to be around in real life, and shaking so you get a huggy is five year old behavior and you shouldn't be proud of acting like a 5-year old as an adult. Don't try and make something so simple into a "society hates happiness" thing.
Inside high school “gym” class, it’s “embarrassing” to run the track. Only 5% do it, it’s really sad. Kind of off topic but still in the same category.
Sometimes i get that hater feeling inside me where I get mad at people doing innocent but cringe things, but instead of letting those feelings win I acknowledge that the feelings are unreasonable and move past them instead of simmering in my own pointless bitterness. The internet really exposed how many miserabIe people exist in the worId and Im just gIad Im not one of them and dont know them
@@Br0130 damn, i just realised. then wouldn't that mean those loser haters are just projecting because they know they cant be as happy as the cringy people?
I hope that last woman is okay. Its shitty how all that stemmed from pretty much harmless cringe, yet also not really surprising bc the Internet can be the shittiest place to people who dont deserve it
Well the Internet can both be anonymous and faster spreading then if something happened in real life, which affects the victim as well as allowing the person to say whatever they like with not that many reproductions
@kittymilkyyy there is. 1) social media is toxic. 2) you should probably not use it anyway because its bad for your mental health. 3) adults especially shouldn't be posting stuff like that like don't they have jobs and kids like actual normal adults? Too much time in their hands. 4) act like a cringe idiot you might get called out on it. Same goes for people who dress like freaks and then get offended when old people or whoever else stare at them. Same as people with face tattoos and that, if you look like a fuckinf weirdo expect weird looks. It's not right but the TRUTH is people judge you instantly based on appearance and demeanor and behaviour. So if you go on like a fuckin idiot or a cringe loud and out there twat, normal people will judge you.
I feel that Cringe is the same as any other emotion. The reaction you give is what you feel about it, but like any other emotion, there is a spectrum of feelings. Some react extremely over cringe causing hatred. Others embrace cringe, thus cringe videos are made. People are weird, even though we are unique, we all feel alone. This is why we tend to join groups, and communities, but end up joining groups inside of groups. Some try to be like others, others try to figure out who they are. Some realize what they are, and what part of the group they accept or associate with. At the end of it all, we are all lost and seeking someone to be part of.
The love surge one was a bit goofy, but it's so cute that they are so comfortable with each other that they can share their relationship online. I hope the couple continue to have a healthy and goofy relationship! It's so wholesome and cute :3 Also that silly screech is freaking iconic
and now a lot of people are just so terrified of being cringe that it’s easier to not try. I’ve become soo self aware and nervous to do anything that might be considered cringe or embarrassing and it SUCKS. I have a friend who does NOT care about appearing cringe and she’s so happy as she’s trying new things like making music and writing. I could never do that, much less share it with anyone, because doing anything embarrassing has such a drastic effect on how people view you. even if no one sees there’s still that voice in the back of your head saying “this is embarrassing, stop”
Bro most people experience what your going through lol. I say we have a right to be more scared considering the fact that people are so quick to record what random strangers do and ruin their lives by posting it online. We have to be more careful.
There's an easy fix so that you can not worry about it and get back to trying new things and doing stuff. That fix is having "self awareness". Learn to read the body language of friends and even strangers, and if you start picking up "I'm bothering this person" vibes, then stop and consider if what you're doing is rude/cringe/etc. There's a decent chance it's neither of those things and you're just in the presence of an asshole, but you also may be able to catch it quickly if it did happen to be one of those things, and maybe even fire off a quick "whoops" or, "my bad" to the affected people. Self awareness is wildly important in many other aspects of life as well, and yet it seems people have far less of it these days. Self awareness is really nothing other than a subset of "common sense" after all.
Stop caring abt "those people", I understand this way of thinking bc I used to think like that. Struggling with severe social anxiety I never truly lived bc I saw people judging me in my head. Now I know the only way is to accept people disliking and cringing me. Those are just their thoughts, I am not slave to them. Usually it's just our imagination and most ppl don't judge us like that. Idk how old are you but usually the fear of judgement is so prevalent in young people. You can do new things too, just accept someone will always dislike you but that's not the reason to not go for your dreams.
@@1_underthesuntoo much self awareness leads to social anxiety, I am hypervigilant and if someone shows a small glimpse of disapproval, side eye or different tone I immediately shut down. This person is already too concerned about others, no need to be "more self aware". The solution is to not doing anything abt others disaproval and just doing your thing (without harassing or stalking others obviously lol)
You know, with the first clip it's quite fascinating. She's not doing anything to harm or bother anyone and yet simultaneously being insufferable. Edit: "Schrodinger's Annoyance" was evidently used incorrectly so I removed it. Yes I am an idiot, you may now laugh at me.
It's cringey and weird and hurting no one I agree. What I don't agree with is how vitriolic people get because there is a computer screen between them.
Imagine being so unbelievably touch-starved and pathetic that you'll send _death threats_ to random strangers online because they're expressing their love for their partner....
Agree I think a lot of it especially with that video. Is that while it is cringy, it makes people who are bitter about love angry. Because they themselves are very lonely. So it’s not so much the cringe but jealousy.
Exactly! I thought it was sweet. Let people do wtf they want to do. Being cringy, embarrassing, and doing stupid shit is a part of being human. For every cringy thing you do, billions of other people have done the exact thing so LET IT GO. live your life. Embrace the cringe.
@@Cezkarma I think Charlie was being overly cynical when he claimed that "most people aren't that nice".

@Nezxmi I mean just cause they scripted it doesnt mean its fake. It could just mean they rehearsed that for a video but truly practice what they preach. People just dont like seeing other people happy when they themselves arent imo
I think we react to cringe so strongly because it's so relatable. when someone does something actually awful, there is more often a layer of disconnect (being that you have never been the victim or the abuser in a situation so it doesn't hit you as hard)
Cringe, is within us all and no one likes to have that mirror forced in front of them by someone else. so we repeal from it like it's mustard gas. That's my theory at least

A lot of healthy couples who post things on the internet often expose themselves to very hurt or misguided people that love to wander the internet and project their very unhealthy views onto their posts.

This sounds about right. I should also add that we humans are social creatures, and interaction is very important to us. its more like the fact she filmed it. theres nothing inherintly cringe about someone doing this in public, its the fact that she filmed it like a twat that makes people not like it. i hate people filming ever little bit of their lives, thats what is truly sad my dude.
@@rhyswhittington8759 then just dont watch it. what is truly sad is other people living their lives and not bothering you and you hating it.
The internet really exposed how many miserabIe people exist in the worId and Im just gIad Im not one of them and dont know them
don't really understand getting mad, just complete cringe inside and slight disgust, then move on
honestly soeaking Ive gradually realised the cringe mofos are the happiest. I know I was when I was cringe 😭
Id argue the backlash is more cringe. Just let people do what they want yk. Ignore it.
@@Br0130 damn, i just realised. then wouldn't that mean those loser haters are just projecting because they know they cant be as happy as the cringy people?
Cringe
I hope that last woman is okay. Its shitty how all that stemmed from pretty much harmless cringe, yet also not really surprising bc the Internet can be the shittiest place to people who dont deserve it
So, the internet is actually no different from real life.
@@NealCamerlengojust enabling people a bit more because they can hide behind the screen. That's what makes it a lil different. Other than that yeah

It's so wholesome and cute :3

@@MasterAlpha1000 you have strong opinions about this subject, must be one of those involuntary types. xD
and now a lot of people are just so terrified of being cringe that it’s easier to not try.
You are probably an anxious/ shy person and your friend is not
This is a bit oversimplified, and I am also a shy person so its not a critique

They’re slimy basement dwellers
Exactly! I thought it was sweet. Let people do wtf they want to do. Being cringy, embarrassing, and doing stupid shit is a part of being human. For every cringy thing you do, billions of other people have done the exact thing so LET IT GO. live your life. Embrace the cringe.
