I live in a gated community in Florida. It's not 55+, but the demographics are. And those rules apply to almost any gated community, 55 and over or not. There are pluses and minuses. Be very aware of the minuses as she says. Just know it doesn't have to be a 55+ community because it's very true that you can't even plant flowers without approval from a committee.
