Curious what area is recommended for a second home where someone who isn’t from the south would be welcomed? Are some neighborhoods more friendly to this? My primary interest is Beaufort. I’m a ways out from buying but the more education the better for when I’m ready. Thanks for doing this channel!

Thank you for this comparison it is excellent! We are looking at this area to move as retirees. This has been the most helpful video we've seen. We haven't been to the area yet, but this really gave us a great way to concentrate on what we would like to look at while we are there not to mention giving us good ideas on where to stay while we are there. It is most appreciated.

I would love to live there for the warm weather but after doing a lot of research I see a lot of poorly built cookie cutter over priced cheaply built houses that have very high tax assessments.

I live in Decatur, GA over 30 years. I’m a native of Dillon, SC & would like to move back to the Pee Dee area, by age 55, less than 5 years. Parents are getting older & me too. 😂Looking at Florence or Elgin(Columbia) if I’m still desiring to work.

I am shopping for properties in Bluffton in the 400k to 600k range and am noticing that a lot people are moving that have only been in their house for two years. What's up with that?

Good neighborhood but too much plastic sidings house, it’s looking cheap to me, do you ever show something like brick and stucco or Spanish or European style houses.

You left out the best hospital in South Carolina..Bon Secours. Also SC does not have world class hospitals. Just ok hospitals…..better than when I moved here twenty years ago. They are getting better. You left out the culture. Big change from left coast….for the better.

I agree that Beaufort is a hidden gem, but we are full. You will enjoy living in Bluffton,Hilton Head, Savannah, or Charleston more. Come visit, then go home.

I was surprised by which states weren't on the top 10 of insurance costs. Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama come to mind.
